My wife took her Volvo to The Swedish Solution a couple of times for routine maintenance stuff. She insisted on it because she wanted the "Volvo experts" to take care of her beloved car. She also really liked the loaner cars. They did OK work but charged a lot for it. My wife is not easy to please and she got less and less happy with the work. The last straw came when she dropped it off to have the brakes looked at and to have the steering rack replaced since the car was hemorrhaging steering fluid. They quoted outrageous prices to her for both, so I followed up. After talking to the mechanic I was told that 1. They will not change brakes alone - they will only change brakes AND rotors, which is one of the dumbest things I ever heard and had to be an attempt to take advantage of my wife. 2. After some pointed questioning he admitted that he had not even looked at the brakes, much less the rotors. My wife didnt drop off the car to have the brakes changed necessarily, she told them to LOOK at them and determine if they were bad. Instead he wrote up an estimate immediately for 500 dollars which is way too expensive if you ask me, especially since this was ONLY for the front brakes/rotors! I couldnt get him to even begin justifying 1,200 dollars for a new steering rack. He really sounded sheepish about these estimates while I was asking him about them. So I checked the brakes/rotors myself. They were perfectly fine, worn less than halfway through. I took the car to my mechanic for the steering rack - fixed for $280 and the car has been great ever since. Wont be taking it back to Swedish Solution.

I was warned by a few friends that they were not as inexpensive as they lead customers to believe. My BMW was serviced by these guys at the end of 2016 and the price was only $25 CHEAPER than the dealer. I generally do my own research when going to any car mechanics shop so that I wont be OVERCHARGED. I thought since Id towed my car there, it would be ok just this once...NOT!! I was satisfied until I drove off of their lot to find that there was yet another issue with my vehicle that wasnt an issue prior to its arrival! I called them immediately & returned my vehicle. They called me the next day & told me that it was my coolant system. I told them that I had NO problems w/it prior to coming there. They charged me another $168 for a part that wasnt broken prior to the tow to Swedish Solutions & after consulting a BMW mechanic(off duty), he said the job that they charged me $1375 for should have only been approximately $775-$800!!! NEVER AGAIN. I will NEVER refer anyone to the Taylor Rd. Shop. If I wanted to get "Railroaded" I couldve & shouldve gone to the dealer, atleast I know theyll do the darn job CORRECTLY!! An UNSATISFIED CONSUMER...

Dropped my car off for a strut job. This shop quoted me at close to 1500 cuz they knew my car was stuck there. I had to authorize up to 350 in diagnostics they called me back a week later when they said they were gonna look at my car the next day (had an appointment set up for 2 weeks in advance) so I had my car towed there cuz I heard good things and as above a week later the guy calls me and gives me the outrageous price as soon as I started questioning the labor rate and cost of parts/hours involved the owner said just come get your car I dont want to work on it ( cuz I asked a question about the sky high price??? ) when asked what his labor rate is he said well 95 but its whatever I want it to be. To TOP It ALL off I have my car back now and its leaking oil onto the turbos and billowing smoke out the engine bay. It was NOT like this when I dropped it off. My lawyer says I have a case so wish me luck and please please please please please please please STAY AWAY I got the job done for 400 in parts 100 in tools and three hours of my time thank god I didnt just say oh ok go ahead and paid 1500 for a strut on my e92. DONT GO HERE

My Mini Cooper was serviced at Swedish Solution and this is what I found: - Best customer service: Extremely nice guys! Genuine nice conversation that didnt feel like it was just to please a customer. Much nicer than any mechanic I have ever dealt with. - Quick turnaround time: I dropped off my car, they took a look at the breaks right away. They then UBERED me home (how nice!!!) and 6 hours later my car was ready for pick up. - Best price: Foreign cars like the Mini can be pretty expensive to maintain. I called 4 shops in the area that service foreign cars specifically, including the dealer, and Swedish Solution was the cheapest. I made sure that all quotes included exactly the same thing. I have never had a license plate frame on my car. I always thought they were ugly but I literally told them to put one on just because of how happy I was with this shop. I dont know anything about cars, so its very important to me that I feel comfortable when I have work done, and I can not recommend this place enough.

I had my Honda Accord in for service recently, I had to wait several days until a courtesy loaner was available, I was greeted by Candice and Dave, both were really friendly. They did the scheduled service, and called telling me I needed brakes. The price I was charged was a lot less than the dealer, and as far as the other Honda guys review my receipt shows 2 hours of labor, and the dealer was more than $100 higher when I checked for a comparison before I okd the repair. The area dealer is close to $100 an hour, so the guy who supplied his own parts & claimed he was charged 3 hours totaling $165 would be closer to 1 1/2 hour, not three hours. Dont get me wrong, this shop is not the cheapest, but they have always been really honest and fair. I am going to keep coming back because I trust them. I wonder if the guy who brought his own parts brings his own food to restaurants!

Ive been taking my car to the location on miles for a number of years. Yes there services may cost more than a NTB or Walmart, but you are paying for the quality of work provided by the nice people that work there along with peace of mind that your car will be OK. They never try and push you to spend more than your car actually needs. In fact, once you add in the free loaner an oil change here doesnt cost much more than any other quality shop. In regards to the Oct. 11 review; I would think its better to ask the cost of brakes ahead of time before you see the bill and get so surprised.

Yes, this place is terrible with prices being sky high. And the managers have bad attitudes toward the customer when you ask reasonable questions about repair prices. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO SWEDISH SOLUTIONS, their prices are Too "High" with no guarantees, this shop is hunger for money. These people are big-time scams.. Maybe its time to have them investigated for over pricing people for repairs. Its time for someone to call...have a bait car go to this shop for repairs. THINKING < Thinking....uh
