I took my husbands truck (12 yrs old) in for an oil change and inspection and Matt found that the tire rods were bad and needed replaced. Matt did it at a great price. I had checked at two other service shops and their prices and service were much higher. Matt has worked on this truck before and as always offers the best advice, price and service in the area. The next day my husband went to start the truck and the oil pressure gauge was reading high. He called Matt and took the truck back in and Matt had the part ordered and ready when he arrived and it was installed and back on the road in 20 min! He did this part replacement free of charge because he was concerned that the oil change might have contributed to it not working. I am confident that it was 12 years old and no one could say that it was the age or the oil change. None the less, Matt stood behind his work with outstanding service and knowledge. We will continue to use Delaware Automotive Service not just for the truck but for all of our cars. It is rare these days no matter what the service to find a place that understands and values return business, customer service and fair priceing.

Matt, the owner of Delaware Automotive Service , has worked on all of our vehicles. I drive a mid-size SUV and he has fixed an oil leak, a front passenger ball bearing, shock on the back hatch, shocks on the hood, put new brakes and rotors on, put 4 new tires on, and replaced the muffler. I am extremely happy with Matts work on my car. He quoted us a price, took us out to see what was wrong with the car, showed us how he was going to fix it, and then had it completed on time, when I needed it. Thanks Matt - we will be back!

Professional and honest. Matt will give it to you straight and wont try to swindle you in any way, shape, or form. Does all the usual mechanic shop goodness, from oil change / inspections to full repairs/replacements. Have gone several times now, and have had a good experience each time. (One particular instance of note was one where no issue was found despite a thorough inspection, overnight keeping, etc. He didnt charge me a dime.) Highly recommended.

Matt has saved my butt on more than one occasion. I had my alternator die twice on the same vehicle. He spent a Saturday each time away from his wife and kids to replace it for me. I am eternally grateful for his efforts and patience. If you are looking for a trust worthy mechanic, Matt is your guy. He is going to tell you like it is and he does exactly what he says he is going to do. You cant find many people like that anymore.

I have been working with Matt for many years. He does all of my regular oil changes, I purchase my new tires through him and have him do an alignment each time. He has also fixed the belt tensioner and a tie rod end on my car. He is great to work with, takes time to answer my questions and show me his work and always gives me the best price in town.
