Update: Brian, the used car sales manager, contacted us to rectify the situation. They brought out a loaner car and picked up the freestyle. They replaced the battery, checked the alternator, cleaned the throttle body, had it detailed, and returned it with a full tank of gas. I am updating to 4 stars instead of 5 because of some miscommunication issues/ frustrations dealing with the salesman. My husband and I purchased a 2007 Ford Freestyle limited on Saturday June 20th. We were looking for a reliable car with third row seating for a road trip to Quebec City. We left Sunday afternoon, and as soon as we got across the border and went through a fast food drive through, we started having problems. The car was lunging at low speeds, even when my foot was on the brake, reving up and accelerating forward (and backward when in reverse) of its own volition, and then it stalled out. After restarting the car it seemed fine, and we continued our trip, everything seemed fine until Tuesday morning. We woke up and tried to start the car, it wouldnt turn over. We didnt understand it since the lights were all off and nothing was left on. We found someone to give us a jump and continued on. We drove about 300 miles, stopped to get gas... car wouldnt turn over, got a jump...ect. decided to come home and call the dealer since we JUST purchased the car. Called this morning (Wednesday) they reassured us that theyd take care of the problem, told us to bring it to the dealer (about 75 miles from our home) and theyd give us a loaner car. We were really appreciative that they were being so accommodating. My husband drove up, and they told us theyd have to keep the car at least 24 hrs and "oops" they were all out of loaner cars. They said they could give him a ride home, and then changed their minds because he lived "too far away". He spoke to a manager, who told him even though we bought the car 3 days ago, the 3 month 3000 mile warranty wont cover what needs to be done but theyd "take care of it" if he would just drive the car we brought up to be serviced home and bring it in again on Friday morning, along with promises of gas money and a free lunch. They didnt give him gas money today for his wasted time/gas driving up 75 miles after being promised a loaner car. So, I dont put much stock in their promises. Also, when we purchased the car we were promised a full tank of gas and a full detail. It had maybe a half a tank and the car was dusty and obviously not detailed. So now the week my husband and I took off work for an enjoyable family vacation, has turned into one giant headache, and our remaining time off will be spent trying to fix a car that went through a "rigorous $1500 inspection" less than a week ago.

My first car dealership experience.. First off, ask a question, get an dis-honest answer. I was looking at a used vehicle that I found online. When I got to dealership, one of the first questions asked was "was this car part of any of the GM recalls?" The salesman replied - "lets go look at the carfax report" basically not answering the question. So, he was correct, the car had no active recalls - however that was not the question and I guess there should have been more detailed added to question, but we continued. I liked the car so they did let me take it to an independent shop for inspection. I advise anyone buying a car here does take the car for an independent inspection. What we found was basically Suburban does an oil change and inspects brakes, that meets their inspection values. They do not make sure that any other fluid area, such as transmission, brake, power steering, and engine coolant, are good and have been up to date with maintenance. So we will have another 500 to put into car to get those issues taken care of. We found the drive belt was cracked (probably the whirring noise we heard while test driving that we now do not hear that salesman claimed was the power steering and all those cars do that) They did replace that. It was difficult for the finance manager to figure out what our apr would be until we were ready to sign. I did need a co-signer as I am just 18 with no credit history. My co-signer then found out at time of signing that she is the primary! Not happy. That was not how it was explained or how it was asked to be. But I like the car and we went forward. All is signed.. we get ready to leave with the car... oh, salesman walks up with a piece of paper "just one more thing I need to have you initial so you are aware of this" Guess what that was - Acknowledgement that we knew that the car had the ignition recall and that it has been fixed... Now if you read the first part of this - wasnt that one of the first questions we asked?? I guess he did know the answer to the question. I felt that I had been cheated at that very moment. To know that people intentionally lie when asked a question that you feel is important when making a large investment just really takes away from the whole experience. If I had to rate them on integrity - there is not a score low enough to give them. I hope my car performs as I like it, but I will never return to that dealership again. I will let everyone I know that they just are not honest.

Most people post reviews with one good or bad experience well I have had 3 bad ones with the suburban ford salesman. September 2013 my company needed a Ford F550 so went to suburban ford to buy one the salesman said they were sold out and they wouldnt have any for months and I was out of luck I figured I would maybe put one on order or see if they could find one. The salesman didnt even want to talk to me except to say comeback in a few months I went to another dealership in the area they didnt have any in stock either but they said they would see what was out there about 2 hours later they called me and said they found one!!! well sorry suburban ford you lost that sale because you salesman was to lazy to call around and see what was out there. October 2014 rolls around and my company is looking at buying 3 to 4 new trucks I go back up to suburban ford out of convenience because it is close to the shop I go in and I have a lot of questions we are looking at 3 or 4 different models and Im not sure which models we want Im sorry but if I am looking at spending 150K+ Im an idiot if I am not asking questions. I went in on a Monday asked a lot of questions pricing options payloads payload kits, advantages of diesel vs gas etc and the salesman didnt have a lot of the answers and to be fair I was looking at a few 2015 models that werent on the show room floor yet the salesman says I dont have the answers but I will email or call you in a couple of days with the answers which was totally understandable answer I could live with I called him Wednesday and he said I would get and answer that day he never did call. Friday rolls around I get a follow up call wanting to know how my experience was I tell he lady I was not to happy tell her the story about an hour latter I get the sales manager I tell him the story about no call back and tell him all the questions I had and I get Sir I will try to get the answers and if I cant get them I will call you back and at least let you know I could not get them well guess what the guy never calls me back. If you looking at the nice looking Mustang with the big motor this may be the place for you but for commercial vehicles with a few hard questions stay well clear. I went back to the dealership that I bought the Ford F550 they answered all the questions they could a few they did not have the answers they called me and told me so instead of ignoring me I just bought my 2nd truck from them and will soon buy 2 more.
