Laptop stuck in sleep state with unresponsive power button. Taken to BRM for diagnostic. Told I would receive a call after diagnostic and before repairs. Received call after repairs; opinion of BRM plummeted. Diagnostic fee waived; faith in BRM (mostly) restored. Told the cause was irreparable, but that I could bring the laptop back in if and when it happened again. Did a little research next time it happened. Instead of removing 14 screws and the bottom panel to access the battery, there is an unlabeled battery reset accessible from the exterior, i.e. no need to bring the laptop to them. Promising the opportunity to authorize repairs and then performing repairs without authorization is something I expect out of a shady auto mechanic, not a respected laptop repair service. Initially I brushed that off as human error. But then telling me that Ill need to bring it back in next time it happens and neglecting to tell me that I can fix it at home, instantaneously and for free? Another tactic Ive previously only encountered with the shadiest of mechanics. I wanted so badly to come out of this with a positive opinion of BRM. Even now, I still have to give them three stars for reasonable prices, quality work, relatively quick turnaround, and otherwise impeccable customer service. But when a simple fix (power cycling) can raise multiple red flags, Ive got to question either their honesty or their attention to detail.

I have a laptop that is 5 years old and it got infected with a virus that made it inoperable. Ben at BRM Laptop Repair not only completely fixed the problem at a very fair price, but he did so many other things as well. My computer now runs better than when I first bought it because he removed a lot of extra programs that were factory installed and were completely unnecessary. He gave many tips on what programs were good for my computer, and what programs might hinder its operation. Ben not only fixed the computer, but he also educated me in a way that was simple and easy to understand. He even installed new free programs at no charge. Ben is also a very nice person. He is friendly, warm, and unassuming. I have dealt with other computer repair people who can sometimes make you feel inferior and are impatient. Not so with Ben, he is very patient and is very willing to explain things. I would highly recommend Ben and BRM Laptop Repair for all computer needs. I had my daughter take her PC to Ben and he gave her the same great service. Thanks Ben! You will be seeing me again for my future PC and Laptop needs.

I know a few things about computers, but when it comes to laptops, Im completely lost. So when my wifes laptop was acting up, I knew I was going to have to take it somewhere. Though there are several well-rated computer shops in the Columbus area, I settled on BRM, both because of the excellent reviews, and the fact that they specialize in laptops. I was certainly not disappointed. Turns out the motherboard was dying, but they managed to save all the data, and for a price that was very reasonable given the amount of work that needed to be done. All in all, Im definitely grateful! The only issue I had (which was very minor) was quickly and professionally handled--its clear that they strive for complete customer satisfaction, and they take it to a level that not only exceeds every other computer repair shop Ive been to, but just about any place Ive ever done business, PERIOD. Ive only been here once, but thats all it took for them to gain another customer for life.

Very pleased with BRM! After a terrible experience with Tek Experts, I took my laptop with a broken screen to them. They were able to repair the screen $100 cheaper than what Tek Experts quoted me by getting me a used screen with just a little chip in the surface and a dent on the back - no big deal. The shop stayed in touch with me throughout the process and everyone I worked with was friendly and straightforward. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because the initial diagnostic took a little longer than I was initially told - I wonder if they forgot about me? But when I texted to check in, the owner found a screen for me and let me know what was going on within an hour. He even got the supplier to send the used part through priority mail since I had been without my computer for almost a month. Will definitely be back the next time my clumsy ass breaks my computer again.

One of my hinges broke on my laptop and everywhere else I took it, they would have charged me over $100 to fix it. Well I took it to Ben and not only was he willing to check out my laptop for a cheap $45, he even fixed my laptop hinge using epoxy which saved me from having to buy a new part and I was able to pick up my laptop within 3 hours!! I am absolutely amazed at his competency and experience. I use a Lenovo SL500 ThinkPad which are very complex to disassemble to get at the hinges and not only was he able to take it apart in less than 10 minutes, but reassembled it after repairs and it functions just as well as before!! I am absolutely thrilled and more than satisfied with Bens work. I will go to him for future laptop repairs (P.S. I also picked my laptop up around 10:00 PM too. Amazed!)

First and foremost , Ben is a true gentleman and a great human being. I called him regarding a loose power jack on my wifes laptop and left a message and he replied the very same day. The thing that caught my attention was his ability to listen to the problem as if he had the whole day for you and suggest the best outcome, even if it meant less profit for his business. He places trust and loyalty above instant gratification. His co-workers are just like him which tells me he is very careful when it comes to picking the right team member. I would highly recommend Ben and his team to everybody. BTW if you guys have a service which is beyond hundred dollars i think Ben puts a free antivirus on your system . I thought I should that throw this deal in case somebody is in a similar situation.

Terrible Messy Service . Provider appeared to have an egoand or attitude problem against me and a few others like me and gave terrible messy service as such. He had issues/threatened with me asking pertinent questions about the work he was providing on my computer. He also had alot of excuses for not taking responsibility for his actions when he did not do the correct things for thr service agreement we had. Ben is also shady/cheap when it comes to getting parts for whats needed.I believe he may have messed up.my computer either on purpose or he did not know what he was doing.The business should be named "For Caucasoids and Males Only since they are the only ones receiving decent service". Intelligent Women of African descent and just intelligent women period, BEWARE...

BRM Laptop Repair has won me over! When my laptop needed a new hard drive I took it to a place where the people were somewhat rude and they quoted me a ridiculous price. I called BRM and they were extremely nice and quoted me a much fairer price. I took it in and they showed me what was wrong with my computer right in front of me and quoted me an even cheaper price than what they said on the phone. They had my laptop ready when they said they would and were very flexible with me and when I could pick it up. I really cant say enough for this place. I am a college student so finding an affordable place I could trust my laptop with is very important to me and I definitely found it at BRM.
