I literally just called July 8, 2016 at 11:20am, and had a rude/lazy worker answer the phone. I called and asked if they can verify if my package is being delivered today, and she said "So, you dont have access to the Internet." I then explained that the tracking was not showing up, and I called them to confirm. She replied with "Well, we wouldnt know either then, because we see what you can see." Which I know is not true, because this happened a few months ago when online it told me no info, but I called and they had the info that it was on vehicle. I explained this to her, and she said "Well, the system must not have updated properly that day." I swear, she spent more time avoiding doing her job with excuses than it would have took to just look the package up! I call back 10 minutes later and get a different woman named Pam who looks it up, but tells me "We get hundreds of calls a day, if we spent time looking up packages we wouldnt be able to do our jobs." And continued to explain why that is not really in their scope of work. Yes, helping customers with their package and Mail questions IS a part of the job. I just dont get why people who have poor customer service skills apply for customer service jobs. -sigh-

A package that was reported as delivered never showed up to my house. I waited a few days and contacted the seller. They were doing everything they could on their part, so I then tried to contact the post office. First, I had to call several times because no one would answer the phone. Then, the woman who did answer was exceedingly rude. I tried to explain my situation and she blatantly interrupted me and demanded the tracking # of my order. After a few attempts of giving her the number, I listened to her talk to herself on the other end about how something wasnt working. Then, she continued to tell me that her computer is telling her that it had been delivered. I thought, "Well if youd listened to my explanation in the beginning, you would have known that it didnt show up." So, I had to explain to her what happened and in the middle of my explanation, She interrupted me AGAIN demanding my name and number so she could have someone go look for it. You know, I understand that working at a post office is very stressful, but its also a choice that youve made to work there. Dont displace your harbored anger on the people who visit or call for help. If you dont like your job, find another one.

Really spectacular service! Our carrier at my multi-tenant buildng at 7836 Oberlin Road in Amherst Township, Dennis, stopped in today to discuss -- get this -- moving our mailboxes to make life more convenient for us. Not a government agent teling us how its going to be, but genuinely thinking of how to make everday mail deliveries a little easier for everyone. When I called the Elyria post office to discuss, a very nice lady answered the phone on the second ring, listened carefully, and said she would transfer me to Joe, the supervisor, who listened carefully, and said, that Dennis was standing nearby and handed him the phone. Two hours later, Dennis came out on his own time and met with us to finalize the details. Our Elyria US postal staff is first class!! Thanks, guys! Paul Bossman, owner, 7836 Oberlin Ltd.

Package "Out for Delivery" and never came, there was never a "We Missed You" slip in, or on my mailbox or door. I called and the lady who answered got an attitude with me because I wanted my package. Asked for my tracking number and yelled when I started to give it to her because apparently she wasnt ready for the number SHE asked for. Put me on hold for 5min to have ANOTHER lady with an attitude tell me my package was still "Out for Delivery" even though I had already got the "Failed to Deliver" email from Amazon. This is a bit ridiculous and granted its the first issue I have had, I am sure it wont be the last. Too bad I didnt get to chose the delivery company. Smh. At least with FedEx I can pick it up the same day at the facility and wouldnt have to play phone tag with someone who OBVIOUSLY hates their job. Smh.

I called in and as soon as the guy answered the line he seemed very annoyed by the questions that I asked and was very fast to cut me off as I was speaking. When I went in there just a few days ago I would not have thought these were the same people...the people that I met that short while ago were very courteous and brought out the supervisor in a timely manner for me, I had even let an elderly woman who had no relation to me get in line with me to handle her order because I only had to ask a question and they had no problem assisting her. I started to wonder today when I called if they had different people to answer the phone lines because they certainly couldnt have been the ones that I had come into contact with...those workers showed great customer service...good thing im not one of those mystery shoppers !

Ive been to many USPS locations from Canton, Ohio area to Cleveland and N.Olmsted. This one in Elyria is by far the worse Ive been in. They are closest but if I can help it, I go to a different one. The employees are rude every time Im in, they screw deliveries up, they work slow and have terrible manners. They act as though you are bothering them for even shipping something out, and this is when its slow or busy. Its crazy because every time Im in at the N. Olmsted location, everyone goes out of their way to be polite and overly helpful. Im not the type of person that would take the time to review or even make a big deal out of something like this, but wow this place consistently does terrible work.

My mail carrier has mixmatched our mail countless times. Ive gotten mail for three separate houses before. He delivered two of my packages to the wrong house. Called the post office and told them my packages say theyre delivered but I dont have them. They said theyre going to look into after telling me my mailman already has multiple complaints from other people for doing the exact same thing. Like, take the hint, the guy sucks. Time to schedule a new mailman to this route but nope, thatd make too much sense. Long story short, poor mailman and poor management.
