A 1 star rating is filtered so few can find to view them hence the 5 star rating. This is a 1 star rating. They dont give you a receipt so always ask for it ~ They will tack on extra charges on their already overpriced salon services and they do not respond well when you question the added charges. Each time it happened, my concerns were met with insufficient replies. Example, I have shoulder length hair, I went in for a full color, one color, same color as last time. Two girls who were assistant to Violets (owner) applied the color using water to spread the color. One girl was explaining this and why to the new girl, to stretch the color farther. I was curious as to why I was charged $19.00 for extra color after seeing this on my receipt. Remember ask for the receipt. Prices vary depending on skill level of the service provider, fine, no problem with that except when you are paying the highest price for the owners service while her new assistants are the ones applying the color and or shampooing/drying/styling your hair. Again questions are responded with inadequate replies, "I mixed the color". Always pay with check or credit card ~ I had their "Pre-book" card for massages, if you pre-book 3 appointments you get the 4th free or half off depending on the service provider. Paying cash each time, you do not know if the desk girl is marking your service "half off" on the computer when you paid full price in CASH, only to be told, "You had your half off last time (true) and two times ago with only one full price in between (not true)." At that time, I had my last appointment half off but not the one prior she talked about. As a result of this she would not give me credit for pre-booking my next appointment. I do not know if someone wrongly changed it on the computer as paying half price and stole the $50 difference since I paid with cash. It is a possible conclusion. Customers are not only never right at this establishment but complain enough you will receive a phone call from Josh telling you that "you are not welcomed back, you make our girls uncomfortable." over several appointments for questioning added charges, hyped up prices for services provided by inexperienced girls who are hired on as followers to the owner and questioning the times I allegedly received those two 1/2 off massages nearly one after the other. You would expect that a "manager" would at least hear your concerns before jumping to his conclusion. Very bad customer service and poor treatment.

I spent 10 minutes explaining to the stylist what I wanted to have her do with my hair, also another 5 minutes explaining that I wanted my eyebrows thinned out. Im highly disappointed. The girl went to get the lighting products and started doing my roots only! which i had to stop her to confirm she was doing my entire hair not just my root and she said no she was only doing my roots, and then said oh sorry i thought you just wanted your roots done. She should not be waxing either highly inexperienced, it was the worst waxing experience ever first of all she missed quite a bit and ive been having my eyebrows waxed since i was 15, she never showed me my eyebrows to confirm i was satisfied. This was my first visit to this salon and will be my last, the staff is obviously inexperienced and do not listen. I will be sharing my experience with everyone that I know, and will recommend them to stay away!!!!

This is one of the best salons I have ever visited. I chose this salon for my moms birthday (she got her first ever mani and pedi), based purely on the services they offer and online reviews. Boy, am I happy we gave them a shot. Not only were the technicians fabulous in terms of quality of service, but they were friendly and it was so easy to feel comfortable with them. The atmosphere of the interior is adorable, comfortable, and clean, and I couldnt be happier with our experience. There is nothing I would be able to recommend they do to make it better. Side note: I am 9 months pregnant, 3 weeks from my due date, and Christie went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and well hydrated throughout my stay. I will be asking for her by name next time!

This spa doesnt deserve even a 1 star! I waited almost an hour for my stylist to begin and it took over 6 hours to put foils in my hair and when she finally got done, my hair was fried and a nasty yellowish in color. She wanted me to leave while my hair was wet so I couldnt see what she had done. They pushed me to buy conditioner because they damaged my hair so bad! I had to go to a different Salon within a couple of days to treat the damage which was another $150.00!!! The owner Violet was very rude! I wouldnt take my dog to Beginnings Salon & Day Spa.

I have never had anything but a wonderful experience here! The girls are all amazing and friendly. The atmosphere is so relaxed and you instantly feel at home. I got married last year and had everyone get their hair and nails done here, the manicure area is so cute and relaxing plus they were very accommodating and made sure my big day was as stress free as possible! I personally see Ashley for my hair services and she has done a great job time after time! If you are in need of salon or spa services, make this your go to place!

Such an amazing experience! From start to finish it felt so relaxing and it was only a hair appt. Offering plenty of drinks and even the shampoo bowl had a reclining foot rest:). Service and prices were great and I even got a tour of the entire place before I left:) Thanks so much and I will definitely be back for all my hair, nails, massages and so much more.:) definitely recommend !!

I always enjoy my visits to Beginnings Salon. Everyone is friendly, and I love being greeted by name when I walk in. Tracy is so sweet and makes me feel like a friend, not a patron. I love Beginnings. I was treated very well!! I got a tour of the place, offered beverages. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. I only got a hair cut but it was very nice and relaxing, such a treat. Shanna was so nice and treated me like gold. I have found my new favorite place :) I would highly recommend Beginnings to everyone!

I have gone to beginnings on a few separate ocassions. I have had a manicure, pedicure and balayage. All of the girls that work there are friendly and knowledgeable. Their pricing is also competitive, I dont feel like Im being gouged for services and they want you to come back! Much better than other salons in the area!
