First I want to start out with the extremely positive things about Eco Plumbers: 1. They are prompt, they came out the same day as my call. 2. They use technology well, including taking photos and for quotes. 3. They communicate well with customers - their office called to let me know the plumber was running a few minutes behind, and then emailed me with a photo and name of the plumber. 4. The tech who came to my house was knowledable and extremely nice. The work he did was professional and looks good. No qualms here. Now I will get to the bad part(s) which unfortunately outweigh the good things I need in my plumber: 1. The entire trip could have been 30 minutes in time. However, the techs must be trained to upsell many other services. I wanted a simple drain pipe installed from my washer into my existing floor drain, but I had about 6 quotes for other things including the Halo system they advertise heavily for. Im all about getting quotes, thats fine, but if it makes the 30 minute trip a 3 hour trip, its not worth it. 2. The attempt to upsell the Halo system involves a demo, which is very interesting, but I knew I would never buy a $3,000 halo system so I really didnt need to waste the time to see it. 3. The price, WOW. I needed this work done today because I promised my wife it would be done =). The price was over $300 for a drain, a total of maybe 7 feet of PVC pipe glued together and 2 90degree fittings. Had I done this myself (if I had the time) it would have been maybe $15-20 of material tops. I had another plumber quote it after and he would have done it for $75. The price gouging alone means I will never go back to Eco Plumbers, even if it means I have to deal with less curious plumbers in the future. If you have an unlimited budget, go for it though.

We have used Eco Plumbers three times and currently have them scheduled for a fourth plumbing job. Work has included replacing galvanized pipes with copper, unstopping a sink, clearing out a drain pipe, and installing a new low-flush toilet. The next job will be to replace our kitchen faucet. We have been pleased with everything. Eco Plumbers combines up-to-the minute technology, skilled labor, and old-fashioned customer service. Each visit included a reminder call the day before and a courtesy call when the plumber was on his way (you choose between am and pm hours). Both plumbers, Travis and Adam, showed up in clean, easily identifiable vehicles, and put on "footies" before entering our house to protect the floors. Each one calculated an estimate for the work to be done on a specialized plumbing software program and e-mailed the estimate, which allowed me and my husband (who was at work) discuss it before the work began. In each instance, the work was done professionally with no mess left behind. I was able to pay electronically at the completion of the work and an itemized receipt was e-mailed. Prior to using Eco Plumber, we called a plumber only when absolutely necessary, but we have been so pleased with the quality of the work and the customer service that we have having Eco Plumber do the accumulated minor jobs done that we have been putting off. We will continue to use them for all our plumbing needs.

My Eco Plumbers experience was great. The city determined I had a water leak in the supply line between the street and house, which Im responsible for, and had two weeks to fix. Eco Plumbers called me back quickly after I filled out their web form to schedule an estimate, then someone came out quickly to give the estimate, which involved excavating and replacing the supply line. A couple other places I contacted never called me back, so I went with Eco Plumbers. One thing that was neat is that when the estimator was coming out, they sent me a text message with a link to track where he was so Id know how close he was to showing up. Same thing when the work crew came. Four guys came out to do the work, and they all were very nice, knowledgeable, careful, and they worked quickly. I was particularly impressed with how well the excavator operator did, especially on a rainy day after a couple other days of rain. Didnt tear up the lawn with the equipment, got sod put back the way it was, didnt track any mud into the house, and hosed off the driveway. They also reconnected my sump pump outlet from the house to the drain that goes to the street, which was out of scope of the project but was something they noticed that needed to be done. The guys did a great job in terms of the repairs, and in terms of not tearing up everything and leaving a mess. Everything looks great.

Besides car mechanics, plumbers are another lot that you can never really trust; a lot of them (especially the larger chains) seem to get a kick out of overcharging for shoddy work. So when a smell akin to burnt rubber filled our house, complete with the sump pump tripping our fuse box, we had to figure out who to call, and fast. We settled on Eco Plumbers because they were by far and away both the most-reviewed, and best-reviewed company nearby. And we were not disappointed: after filling out the online form, I had a call back within 5 minutes, and a tech at the house within the hour (granted, it was on a Wednesday morning, so Im sure theres longer turnaround on weekends and busier times of day). Less than an hour after he arrived, I had a brand new sump pump installed, at a reasonable cost. Our plumber was Ammar T. and he was professional, nice, and gave several options for what we needed, with no pressure or hard sales pitches. Even gave us recommendations on how to further save money, which is always appreciated, and a welcome change from most companies. Another plus: theyre open 24 hours, so they have wide availability. A great company, and one I wouldnt hesitate to use again the next time (God forbid) we find ourselves in desperate need of a plumber.

Josh was great. He is an awesome tech, very knowledgeable and polite too! He addressed and my questions and concerns and was straightforward with me about that fact that there was only one option and there was a chance it might not work. I have a Kenmore washer that was installed incorrectly, the hot and cold connections were reversed. Much to my dismay, since it had been over 30 days since the installation, Sears wouldnt fix it and it also wasnt covered under the overpriced extended warranty I bought from Sears. Switching the connections would have been simple enough for me to do on my own if the threads on the connection on the washer were ok, but the parts are now made of plastic (the new American way, make disposal junk to generate sales, but thats another story) and the initial threads on the hot water connection were stripped. I tried to connect it myself, but stopped because I didnt want to create a bigger mess then I already had. While 100 dollars was a lot to pay for the service, the amount pales in comparison to what I likely would have paid a appliance repair tech to come out and replace the hot water connection on the washer myself. Thanks Josh!
