BEWARE!! I only gave them a star because I was able to come in for a quick oil change and lights. Initially I thought this was a nice place with friendly service and not the stereotypical scheming mechanics digging for more money. WRONG! When I went to pick up my car after the oil change the mechanic informed me that my brakes were down to the metal and told me to get them changed immediately. I was hesitant and cautious especially when it was $300+ they were asking to replace the brakes. I trusted my gut and walked away. That was 2 months ago, I still havent changed my brakes and my car needed to be inspected back in PA. I was scared I wouldnt pass my inspection but to my surprise I passed with ease. The mechanic who inspected my car in PA mentioned my brakes as well; however, he said I still had a month before needing them changed. Interesting. Now, I know annual car inspections are not really a thing in Ohio but if my brakes were down to the metal 2 months ago, how in the world was I able to pass my inspection? How did my rotors last that long without being damaged? The answer, they ARE the SCHEMING money digging mechanics everyone should AVOID. I was an easy target (young guy) and they try to play the system. Lure you in with a genuinely nice man giving you a decent quote and helping you along the way. When you go to pay, another man will assist you. This man never took his eyes from the screen when he was talking to me about the bill. My bill went up $100 from their quote and when I asked why out of pure curiousity he simply placed the bill on the table and said "Heres everything you were charged" but he didnt take the time to explain anything. He tried to play the tough guy role in a demanding manner for the higher payment and when he mentioned my brakes, he was curt. "Your breaks are nonexistent. You need them changed.... Down to the metal, I wouldnt wait any longer." I denied, denied, denied. I figured I could wait and I am sure happy I didnt fall for any of it. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THESE CONNIVING MECHANICS!

The experience was all around great. I had a few problems with my car that I was in aware of and they took the time to explain to me what was wrong and what my options were. Now a days it is very hard to find someone at a car shop that will not scam you but all around from the mechanics Jacob to the manager David, everyone was honest. They did what they thought was in my best nature to fix my car and even helped me to exercise my options on how to go about doing so. All around I was very satisfied by the whole experience and I would recommend to anyone in the Stow -Kent, Hudson area. I will definitely be returning and I am glad to have found this place

So I brought my car in to check on an issue and the manager explained to me in great detail what the problem was and even showed me what he was talking about on the car (which made it easier for me to understand what he was talking about). I got a student discount which was really good considering the things that needed replacing! The service went on without a hitch and I was out of there in no time. They are incredibly friendly and have the customers interest at heart, I highly recommend this place if you need to get your car checked out!

Went in to have some issues with my car looked at. They were able to get me in quick and got right back with me. While telling me what they found I was a little skeptical about some of the issues and they offered to have me swing by and they would be glad to show me and walk me though what they found. I took them up on the offer and the walked me through everything. I have them the go ahead, and even with several repairs, I received a call the next day that it was done. It was TV add quality!!! Will definitely be going back again.

When my Toyota Rav4 needed repairs I called Aamco Transmissions Total Car Care in Kent, Ohio. Dave and his team not only got my vehicle up an running again in no time flat but he was also very thorough and explained all the details and cost. I could not be happier with the service I received and will definitely be a returning customer! Excellent customer service, prompt, thorough and courteous. A+ and 5 stars all around. This is probably one of the only places near Kent State that can fix any transmission problems. The staff was really nice and gave me a decent price to fix my problems, and kept in good contact with me about what was going on. While they have limited hours on the weekend (which isnt the greatest if you are a student in the area), they managed to fix the problem, and explained to me what was wrong. Pretty honest people and nice. I would recommend going here for major car problems, for sure!

This AAMCO location is first class!! I came in as a first time customer for an oil change and tire rotation to find out that a pretty significant repair was needed.. They got me right in and even explained/showed me (uneducated car guy) what was going on in terms that I understood! Recently I took my Audi to AAMCO for brakes and oil. Staff was polite and knew what I needed. Prices were competitive and a lot better than the dealership. On a walk in they completed the work on a timely basis, (whereas you practically need to make a doctors appointment at a dealership for drop off and pick up time.). Price, attitude, and timeliness far exceed a dealership. I would recommend this AAMCO to friends in the area.

I dropped off my car for a new clutch and flywheel,they drove me home as I didnt have a ride,they ran into some issues that were none of their doing, (dealership cross threaded bolts during a previous repair).but the guys not only went out of their way to fix those issues, but also still had my car ready on the agreed upon time. Ill definitely be going back the next time I need some work done.

I could not be more satisfied with the service I received at the AAMCO Kent location. When I arrived there was no wait time. They got my car in immediately and diagnosed the problem within a couple minutes. Not only was I happy about the price of the repair, I was surprised by how affordable it was. I am very pleased with my experience here. The staff is so friendly and professional. They answered all my questions, explained everything to me thoroughly and made sure that i understood it all. they worked fast and got me in and out without a long wait.
