I dropped my car off to have the breaks inspected because they had been making noise. My appt was 11:30. I saw I missed a call at 1pm and called back. The manager Darryl answered the phone and asked if I "was on any medication or if I was delusional because there was nothing wrong with my breaks". I said, "Excuse me?". He said there was little wear on my breaks. I told him I would pick up my car. My husband went with me to pick it up. He never apologized, just told us he was "under a lot of stress". This is terrible service. I cant even believe this actually happened! I will NEVER take my car there again. I guess he thought he was being funny.

In addition to the letter I am sending to CarX Corporate Headquarters concerning my experience, and the service my Stepfather experienced while he was here visiting from Chicago, and had car troubles himself, I felt it was important to acknowledge this particular branch in Dayton. I have never met more genuine, quality, and honest men in this service industry. They went above and beyond just because...and Im not sure if they know what a difference they made, but I hope they do now. I have been raving about their work, their customer service, and their honesty everywhere I go. Thank you Daryl Rowlands and Kevin Calhoun.

My experience with carx started great. 1000 miles down the road, doing 80 mph, the bearings I had replaced locked up. So waiting for a tow in high summer temps really sets the mood for this story. New mechanic, new bill. 540$ to fix what carx had already "fixed". So I contact the manager and inform him, send my paperwork. He sends it to the corporate office. I get a check for like 240$. What about the labor I already paid for? So I will never give my business to carx again. Thank god for Google maps reviews, yelp, and all the other sites that I will post this message on. That is how I found them in the first place.

My 17 year old went by to have her brakes checked because there was a light on. When she left, they quoted her $837 to replace brakes and several other issues that supposedly needed to be resolved. I thought this price was high. We took it for a second option and the only thing wrong was the front brake pads needed replaced. All the other items on the is list was rubbish. Never take your car to have it evaluated. They added in an additional $600 of work that does not need to be done.

These guys were very nice and honest. I went in for an oil change and to have one of my tires looked at. It turned out I didnt need an oil change but I did need tire repair and balancing. They were honest with me and told me I didnt need the oil change instead of just doing it. I saved $30. They also take $10 off your oil change service if you bring in a food donation which they donate weekly and their donations stay local.

I live in Trotwood but work out of Columbus and I will travel all the way to Kettering to have my services done on my car. It is very hard to find a reliable mechanic (auto shop) that you can trust as a single woman. I have no problem with any of the staff they give me the honest truth about what is going on they are very friendly and make sure you are satisfied ;^) They get my stamp of approval

I had an emergency repair needed that was beyond my skills as a mechanic. These guys took my car in within a couple hours of calling, and fixed it. They were so adept at the fix that they even didnt charge! Obviously not everyone is going to get that service, but this is the kind of garage you can trust for skills. Id give five stars but the lobby could use some updating :-)

Excellent Service! I have been going to this place since I bought my car new in 2013. I travel over 500 miles per week so miles rack up quickly between oil changes. The gentlemen that work here are very nice and honest. I have seen them talk with customers and they walk them through repairs and choices that allows the customers to make the right decision.

Best auto repair shop in Dayton area! The whole staff was very friendly/personable. Had tie-rod replaced with an alignment and it took only took them 45mins to repair. Only issue I had was the mechanic that pulled my truck around left greasy hand prints on the inside door handle and steering wheel. But I would definitely go back for future repairs when needed!

Super friendly staff. The first time I was here the lug nuts had come loose on my car and they tightened them at no charge and sent me on my way. So when my other car had suspension issues I brought it here and they fixed it right up in about an hour at a fair price. 10/10 will be coming here for my future automotive needs.

Good guys. Not much for customer service, but very friendly. They more than make up for it with care of the vehicle and honesty. They will not do anything unnecessary and let you know if problems arise before fixing them (and charging you). Great place to take your car. They are open until 6pm not 5.
