I have thick curly hair and have been driving 45 minutes to a curly hair salon in Cincinnati. I decided to give BLewie a try since it is much closer and Id heard great things. I asked for their best person with curly hair. At my appointment, I asked for an update to my current cut: subtle, well-blended layers to bring out the curl. I wanted to keep enough length to pull it back at work, but was ok with a few wispy shorter layers around the face. The stylist and I reviewed some pictures, then she spun me around in the chair so I couldnt see what she was doing. When she was finished and showed me the cut, I had big chunky BANGS and big chunky layers, with a few wispy strands at the bottom. The chunky layers are uneven and very poofy, and most of the curl is gone. It looks like she was going for a 1980s Tiffany haircut. I wanted to see what I could do with my own styling products at home. I couldnt fix it. I contacted the salon one day later and asked the manager to call me, then I emailed pictures. That was on a Thursday. Now, on Monday evening, I still havent heard anything from them. I will NOT be going back and I advise anyone else with thick and/or curly hair to avoid the place too. Also, if you are the kind of person who speaks up about a bad haircut, dont expect an answer or any attempt to make it right. The pictures below show my normal before" (with the newborn), my normal "after) (with the toddler), and my current do, one day after having it cut at BLewie. I used the same styling products and techniques for all.

I have extremely thick and curly hair so for me to find someone who can work with it is very rare. Rebecca does a fantastic job at cutting and styling my hair and helping me to find the right products to use with it. She was booked once though and so i went to another person there, the only one that wasnt booked, it was prom week, and she did awful with my hair type. Over all i am very pleased and love this salon and havent had any problems since. I recommend Rebecca for anyone, how ever i cannot say for others because i have stuck to Rebecca since that one awful cut.

If you are looking for a Salon and more important - really talented Stylists, then I highly recommend that you try Blewie Salon and Day Spa. You wont be disappointed. They are very welcoming and specialize in "service". GALS - GUYS - KIDS: Regardless of the type of your hair (thick, thin, short, long, naturally curly or straight as can be), they really work to give you just the cut and appearance that youre looking for. You could spend a luxurious day of pampering with their wide variety of Spa services. All of the Stylists are great.....but Polly is my favorite!

I live in Dayton and drive 30 minutes to BLewie every 6 weeks. Why? Because theres no one else that I trust doing my hair more than Beth. This salon outshines them all. Every detail has been thought out, from a little privacy when youre under a dryer, to the comfort of the sinks where they wash your hair. Massages, nails, facials...Ive treated myself to many of their services and have never been disappointed. The Keratin treatments at BLewie Salon & Day Spa will change your life, if you have curly, unruly hair. The treatment is also more reasonably priced than most other salons. The salon is a wonderful relaxing atmosphere, with professionals that really know their stuff. The shampoo bowls are the most comfortable than any salon Ive been to, and the designers shampoo with a massage type technique that is so relaxing that the shampoo alone is worth a visit!

The worst place I ever seen , they did not just fry my hair but they were so rude too , the lady did my hair was busy talking to other customer and didnt check on my hair , I got my hair fried plus the color was ugly , thank you so much for ruining my hair , PLEASE dont go to this place!!!
