THIS IS A REVIEW I POSTED ON COUGHLIN AUTO IN LONDON. ONLY A FEW OF YOU KNOW BUT I TRADED MY VAN AND HAD AN UNFORTUNATE SITUATION I waited a little bit before posting this in hopes the Salesman would call me. But, that didnt happen so heres why I will know longer be doing business with Coughlin nor will I be sending anymore referrals there. I traded in my van for a Buick. I was told that the car was serviced and detailed. I had to head out of town to my sisters. We did all our business except that of the lift removal from the van which I was told would be done the next day. They shampooed the carpet and put the rubber mats all back down on wet carpet. The original floor mats were still in the plastic which they put under the wet mats. By the time I got to the Cleveland area the car stunk so bad my sister about barfed when she got in it. She was totally turned off at the terrible so called detail job they did on this car also. We removed all the mats and the ones in the plastic were even soaked through. Her and I spent 3 hours DETAILING this car CORRECTLY, minus the carpet. Got it looking really good mind you. Several people looked through this car trying to figure out that terrible smell only to determine that the dealership must have used dirty water or something nasty. Also, as most people know, when a vehicle has an oil change the oil is clear and clean and the fluids are topped off. The oil in this car was dark and dirty and none of the fluids were done. Therefore, this car was not serviced. At this point I made several attempts to contact Ryan, the salesman, to inform him of the need to have this car redone. Left messages, know call backs. This went on from Wednesday to Saturday. On Saturday when I called again I told Ryan that I would be at the dealership on Monday and that I was not happy. I also asked him if that lift had been removed. He had know clue. By the time I got there on Monday I was mad. I told Ryan it was rude of him not to call me back and he said he knew I was coming in that day anyway and thats why he didnt call me back. I told him that was unacceptable. I have known him for many years and I am sad to say that because of the way he treated me and the lack of respect and dishonestly I feel was potrayed, a friendship is destroyed. This was my third car from there and I have taken several friends there to buys cars. He did take the car back and they did shampoo the carpet correctly this time and then of course, they put the mats right back down on wet carpet again.,,,, amazing,,, once it dried good, the smell was gone. I also checked the oil and yes, this time the oil was changed. They did not top the fluids though. They did the bare necessities just to get me out of there Im sure. This is very sad how this has ended. I would like to think someone can learn something from this. I dont know. Im very disappointed in how this has ended. But, it is over. 8/25 Today I posted this on the BBB website. Dayton messaged me back with how to put this on coughlins BBB page. I was a little surprised at a couple of the negative comments. All i can say is ... Wow !!!

First, let me start by saying that this has got to be one of the worst dealerships I have ever seen. They are rude, dishonest and uncaring. You should do everything in your power to avoid this dealership. I took my car there to have it worked on, they did $1300 dollars of fixes on it or so they said and told me it was ready to go, lie number one. I arrived at the dealership ready to pick up my car, got in and turned the key and nothing, it was dead. Went back in and talk to the attendant at the desk said he would look into it. Next day came back to pick up my car was told that the battery was bad. Lie number two, I know that the battery is good because it is almost new and I tested it before I put it into the car, this time the car did start. As I drove off the dealership parking lot I saw that one of my tires was flat got out to look at it had been slashed by what I believe to be a knife it had a two-inch slash in the sidewall again I went and talk to the attendant at the dealership I was referred to the manager Dominic caminiti, do not trust this man! When I told him, what had happened the first thing he said was that he was not responsible and he could do nothing to help me over and over again, great customer service I next told him that if he could just review his srvaline cameras to see who had doing this he later said that my car was out of range of his cameras, lie number three my car was parked only 100 feet from two cameras and the lot was always lit.the very next day my car which they had said was ready to go and after I had purchase a new tire to replace the one that had been slashed, would not start, I again returned to the dealership and was told that they could look at my car if my wallet was open,( this this was not a lie, this what they were truly after money) I said that I did not have any more money after I had to pay the repair bill. I next started looking over my car I am not a mechanic nor do I pretend to be one but I know a little about electracy, I discovered that the battery was being drained by a short somewhere in the car I next took my car to real mechanic not those bozos at the dealership. The mechanic I took my car to said that two power cables had been put to closely together and that was the problem I cannot believe that the so called professional mechanics at the dealership could have missed this, the only thing I can assume is that this was done to extort more money from me.

Monday my fiancé and I went to this dealership to look at a few vehicles that we found on their website we where interested in. To be exact we had a total of 5 cars we wanted to check out and possibly test drive our favorites to see. We decided that when we got there we would just go head and try to find the ones we liked ourselves and hopefully a salesman would eventually come out to help us. We looked at almost every car on that lot before we seen anyone. Once we got a sales person to assist us it was a struggle. We told him what we where currently interested in and the price range we wanted to stay in. I flat out told him that I was interested in either a Chevy Suburban, Tahoe or the 2014 malibus. I clearly stated that we wanted the SUVs to be the 2007 models or newer with the bench set for the second row. I had to tell him 4 times that I did not want an SUV that looked like a mini van on the inside. Thats when he proceeds to try and sell me a conversation van for $9000!!! Then he showed us a pace car they had for sell because "it had low miles for its year". Then he took us to the new car side and he showed me a 2016 Chevy Malibu. I thought I made myself very clear that I only liked the 2014 models. So how we managed to get through to him and we got to test drive a car that I liked. He literally handed us the keys and walked away. No simple walk through, didnt double check to make sure I knew how to at least work the windshield wipers, nothing. While driving this car the breaks made a grinding nose and the longer we drove it the louder it got. I pulling in to a parking lot to look the car over and literally in the back set was a trash bag and what looked like crumbs from someones lunch sandwich. We took the car back and I was ready to leave. My question is why have a car on the lot thats not been cleaned or ready to go. I feel like the sales guy was trying to just sell us anything he thought we would buy. It was a horrible experience and I seriously doubt Ill ever go back and obviously wont be referring anyone to this place.
