Overall rating of Planes Moving & Storage of Dayton: Very poor, untrustworthy. The employees of Planes Moving & Storage employed displayed a basic lack of integrity and commitment to avoiding responsibility for damages caused to my property. The attitude of demeanor of the unloading crew while at my house was negative, and had blatant disregard for my property (for example, setting a $300 amplifier upside down, being rough/careless with delicate items, etc.) The truck driver and unloading crew heavily damaged my doorframe while attempting to move a couch into the basement. The truck driver then denied to my face that either he or his crew damaged the door. Reluctantly, he agreed to let us fill out a damaged property form. He instructed my wife on the "proper" way to fill the form out, however the form was incorrect in multiple places. Upon further review of the form, it is obvious the truck driver who should be adequately knowledgeable of how to complete it, intentionally mislead my wife to avoid personal repercussions. As I had foreseen property damage as a possibility, I videotaped all walls and doorframes in my house to document their conditions (all were clearly damage-free). The videotape was date & time-stamped the morning right before the movers arrival. I also submitted a picture of the damaged doorframe after the movers left. The picture was date & time-stamped as well. I did not detect the truck drivers "slight-of-hand" until the mis-marked form was used as a basis to deny my claim. After the initial claim denial, I offered Planes Moving & Storage of Dayton the above evidence as well as offered to supply testimonials from my supervisor, my co-worker, and my wife who were all witnesses to the movers damaging the doorframe (Planes did not accept the offer of the witness testimonials). The claim was denied a second time on the basis of the video only showing one side of the doorframe. The submitted video showed the side of the doorframe where the damage occurred. I offered Planes Moving & Storage a video showing the opposite side of the doorframe (which would be irrelevant as that side was left undamaged anyway), however they did not accept this offer either. After the offer of a video from another angle, Planes Moving & Storage of Dayton accused ME of damaging the door, and maintained their denial of my claim - despite the aforementioned evidence. From the beginning to the end of the claims process, it was clear to me that the employees at Planes Moving & Storage of Dayton are 100% committed a conclusion in which they can avoid responsibility for the damages caused to customer property, and are willing to sacrifice their personal integrity to do so. I feel that there is no amount of protective measures or preparation I could have done (aside from detecting the truck drivers lie) which would have prevented Planes Moving & Storage from fraudulent business practices. My recommendation to other potential customers: Do yourself a favor, and bring your money elsewhere - even if it happens to be thousands of dollars more expensive, you will ultimately protect your assets in the long run. I dont even want to give any stars. Probably the worst moving company. The packers broke my bed frame and foundation not even an hour into the packing out of pure negligence. Out of all the 10 packers we had, only 2 were professional. The others were kids who were mostly talking and messing around. When we arrived to our destination the packers who unloaded our things said whoever packed the crates did a horrible job because the way things were stacked. Come to find out they stacked our bikes on top of our dining room chairs which split the chairs and broke multiple pieces. Also instead of packing our clothes in the dressers, they left it. We didnt know this at the time. When we received our dressers they were full of clothes which cause the base of all the drawers to droop down which caused big sagging holes in the dressers boards. Horrible horrible horrible. They didnt tape any screws or anything to our dressers and electronics. We found a garden house in a box of clothes. Seriously???

Ryan at the warehouse was so friendly and helpful getting moving supplies loaded into our truck. The next 2 times I had to get boxes the guy in the front office area was not friendly at all and acted like I was a bother but this was the only negative experience I had with the company. The driver and helper of our moving truck were Phil and Brendan. They were very professional and you could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. They were super nice and very hard working men. They were very careful with our belongings, acted as if our things were their own items, took great care of our things and on the arrival to our new house everything was in one piece and there was zero damage. Hope we never have to move again but if we do I will track Phil and Brendan down and ask for them again, cant say enough about them!

The Planes United people were wonderful to work with. The salesperson did an exceptional job of estimating the weight of our load. The United videos on the website offered really helpful tips on packing ourselves. The driver and his crew were great on both ends. And the crating company did a wonderful job, both crating and uncrating. We had very little damage...an ironing board and a lapdesk are all weve found so far. Overall, while moving is stressful it was a great experience. We will definitely recommend Planes United to our friends and family.

Planes Moving & Storage did an excellent job moving and transporting my Moms stuff to this area. They were very professional, showed up on time and did a great job. I would recommend them to my friends and family. They also returned a portion of the initial fee because my Mom had packed more then they expected and had less items to take then initially estimated. The agent who I was dealing with locally kept calling to make sure everything was going on track as well. I will use then again if I ever need moving services in the future.

We had a wonderful experience with Planes Moving and Storage. Diane and Meagan were easy to work with and kept us updated throughout the process. We had a short turn around for our move from the time of original contact and they were able to accommodate us. The movers arrived at our home and destination when promised. There was one issue with a mover losing his balance and damage to a bookshelf but they have been very easy to work with for the claims process.

This was the best shipping experience ever and Ive previously made several military moved, literally all over the world! From the first meeting to the pack up and delivery everything was fantastic. Benny, Happy and crew were professional, friendly and efficient. Could. Not. Have. Been. Better!
