I attempted to install some plumbing in my bathroom but had not done the best job. Having been defeated, I called a professional. We were referred to Mike Mackin by a trusted friend that had done business with him in the past. He was confident that the work I needed to have done would be done properly, without shortcuts, and by a quality company. My friend was not mistaken. Mike came out to take a look at the problem, was quickly able to diagnose it and had a quote for me before he left. He came back later that week to install a new toilet / flange, and run a gas pipe to our kitchen so we could switch from an electric to gas stove. My wife and I were impressed by the courteousness, and professionalism demonstrated by Mackin & Sons. I will definitely be a repeat customer (I have many other projects I need to tackle) and would highly recommend Mackin & Sons.

I am so thankful that I found a plumber that is affordable and that I trust. We have an old house and they have handled all our plumbing problems with ease. We have had a leaky pipe into the first floor, a floor drain issue, a leak in the copper pipes that had to be sawed out and fixed, and a tiny old sink pipe that disintegrated and needed a creative repair. They caught a problem we didnt even realize we had. We have no shut off lever for the house and will need to repair this. I have referred them to my sister-in-law and she has been very pleased as well with the repairs to her condo. I have a peace of mind knowing that I can call Makin & Sons.

I sent 6 emails, to various plumbers, and Mackin & Sons Plumbing called me within 15 minutes to make an appointment to see my hot water tank. Mike did not pressure, he just gave me a quote and left the decision to me. I checked into a tankless system; which he gave me his views, based on my house, and in the end we chose Mackin & Sons Plumbing. Not only was Mike professional, but his assistant, Jason, was extremely polite. They handled everything needed; shutting off the gas, draining the tank, removal of tank, new plumbing and clean-up. I was impressed and extremely pleased with the service I received.

This place is awesome! 10 Stars! Highly recommend! I called and explained my issue. Mike helped me understand what would be involved. I had a full understanding of what the job would cost and what issues might happen in the process before they started. I got estimates from 2 other plumbers -- they did not provide the same info over the phone. Highlights: On time, friendly, easy to communicate with via phone / email, got reminders ahead of the appointment, quick and reasonably priced. This place is great. You should call if you have plumbing issues.

I have used Macking & Sons Plumbing for the 6th or 7th time now and have never, ever had a bad experience. In fact I am constantly amazed that the bill is always lower than I expected and in this day and age, that says a mouthful. They always are able to schedule timely service and if happening to be running late, will call us to make sure a later time will be okay. I also like the way their servicemen clean up after they have finished. Thanks for many jobs done well and economical over the years.

Mike is very responsive, and his work is always completed professionally, promptly, and at a reasonable cost. In addition, Mike goes out of his way to ensure that the customer fully understands what was done (and will explain each repair in as much technical detail as desired). I can recommend Mackin & Sons without hesitation, and will continue to use them exclusively for my plumbings needs.

When looking for a skilled tradesman, I never know how to pick who to call. I got lucky with Mike. I needed a gas line extended for my dryer. He came in, gave me an estimate that I thought was fair, and did the work that same day. He even put the correct fitting on the dryer and hose on the pipe. All I had to do was move the dryer in place and hook up the other end of the hose. Now I know who to call when I need a plumber.

Mike was pleasant and answered all my questions. He was knowledgeable, not only about the hot water tank coil but also about the garbage disposal and the water pump. He also provided me with quotes for future work that were considering and he wasnt pushy about getting me schedule right away so he could make a sale. Mackin & Sons did a great job, from completing this job under the price quoted, showing up as scheduled and sending pictures of the work via email as I am located in a different city than where the work was done. They use technology well from working up a quote to sending email confirmations as well as invoicing. I was very pleased with their work.

Positive experience. Mike called to let me know he was coming and showed up as scheduled. He had a great suggestion on how to install the outdoor gas outlet box flush against the house without needing to open the ceiling in the finished basement. Installed professionally using the proper tapcon screws for brick in under 45 minutes.

Mike was very prompt in scheduling the appointment. I emailed him with my issue and my available times and he responded within a couple of hours. Mike showed up at the appointed time, and was able to address my issue. My shower control valve had broken, so I thought, but Mike put it back together and all was well.
