All I wanted was the free estimate that they clearly offer. The guy shows up with NO equipment - not even a ladder. He tells me he is the supervisor. Then he radios for another guy with the ladder and equipment, who happens to be busy. The first guy sits in my driveway for at least half an hour. Eventually TWO more trucks show up. One with the ladder and diagnostic equipment - which are essential for the free estimate. And another truck with a giant water tank on the back. After two Mr Rooter employees crudely banter (complete with curse words) in my front yard within earshot of my children, they eventually get on the roof and start troubleshooting my problem. None of what they did at this point sounded like they knew what they were doing. It took them a long time to find where the house sewer lines even went. They didnt care when I told them one end of the house plumbing drained fine but the other doesnt. All they cared about was telling me that their snake camera hit "something" and for a $1000 they would use that tank truck in my driveway to flush it out. Then when I said that that was not going to happen, the first guy shoves a tablet in my face about financing for 3.5 times that already crazy estimate. It was at this point that I asked them to leave. For a free estimate, this wound up feeling like such a high-pressure con job. They arrive with the equipment to flush the line before they have any idea what the problem is? And I am not even sure they had a clue as to what they "found"; I never saw the video from the camera in the drain. Plus they were unimaginably unprofessional. Why would I believe them at all regarding anything? And $1000 dollars to flush out a clog of indeterminate size!? It could have been four inches of toilet paper. The day after I sent them packing I get an unsolicited phone call from some manager at Mr Rooter who apparently reviewed their insane write-up and estimate. He wanted to apologize for apparently the excessively inflated quote that they tried to pull over on me because he offered me discounts and coupons. But the damage is done. I have absolutely no reason to trust anything in the slightest that comes from any representative of this company at this point.

We knew our water heater was on its last legs, so when it finally croaked on a Thursday night, we were scrambling to find someone who was able to do a quick install at a decent price. After doing some quick research, I contacted Home Depot Thursday night since they offered same day install, and my wife contacted Mr. Rooter. Home Depot called me Friday morning asking for measurements and the like, but I was at work at the time, and was under the impression that they would be doing an in home consultation, which was another reason I went with them, as I wanted someone there to actually look at our setup to verify what we needed and any other costs associated with it. They said they would call their contracted plumber and they would call within 24-48 hours. In the meantime, Mr. Rooter had contacted my wife and set up an appointment for an in house consultation Saturday morning. James came out, looked at our setup, and gave us an estimate of everything. He confirmed my suspicions that there would need to be some slight modifications for the install that would bump the cost up a bit, which was fine. After confirming our selection, he offered to install it right then, which was a shock to me! During the install, he kept me informed of what he was doing, as well as asked my opinion on another slight modification he would need to do; one choice was free and involved moving some piping to my HVAC drain, or another option that would cost a bit more. I was pleased he let me know without just doing it and claiming the one option was necessary just to increase costs. A couple of hours later and he was finished. He cleaned up well, gave us a quick rundown of the system, and we were back in business. We were very pleased with his customer service and would definitely recommend this company to others. As a side note, Home Depots plumbers finally called back...Monday morning. So much for that 24-48 hour window and the same day install!

I cannot believe I am writing this but when you get great service above what you expect you just have to let people know. The completed work was excellent and the customer service from Adam Cocroft was fantastic! I was very thankful to have him to complete the work and I could tell he cared about doing the work right as if it were his home. Thank you Mr. Rooter for employing high quality character and skilled service technicians such as Adam! I am a first time customer and it is people like him that really make the Mr. Rooter brand shine. I have used a competitor in the past and really was not happy with the work done and including most recently an independent contractor which was even worse so I saw the commercial and I felt the President was sincere and passionate about the company so I gave you a try and I am so glad I did. I will continue to utilize your services in the future! Great job everyone at Mr. Rooter!

Called for a plumber for a broken kitchen pipe. I cant rate the service because I havent received it yet. Was supposed to have a plumber out yesterday between 3-5, no show! Called them at 5:30 and was very apologetically rescheduled for the next day 10-12 with a "priority" flag. OK, stuff happens. Well no phone call and no show so far today at 2:30!! I have called twice to be told I am "next". WIll consider an updated rating IF they ever show and offer good service and compensation for my 2 day/ 6 hours and counting wait time!

We were pleased with Aarons work, and his courteous and kind disposition. He performed the tasks neatly and reported what he was doing throughout the process. We really appreciated his work ethic and assurances as he proceeded to remedy our problem. We were pleased that he gave us a hint to help prevent recurring issues like what we experienced. It was especially accommodating to have a repair service respond on a weekend and to not charge us a premium rate for a non-Monday-through-Friday schedule.

I am so frustrated with companies that do not stand behind their work. long story short. Mr. Rooter installed a new well pump for me and did not install new wiring, (to cut corners Im thinking) a year later the wiring failed. the failed wiring caused my new pump to "burn-up" this information came from a tech on Mr. electric side and Mr. Rooter. last years bill was over $7000.00 now they want another 1800.00 for a new pump and install with new wires. should have done it correct the first time.

Adam and Tim both explained the options very well, on an issue that has caused repeated drain problems even after several earlier attempts by other companies to resolve the problem. Although we are facing an expensive fix, I appreciate that they clearly explained the problem and the options, and gave me time to think it over and decide. We chose to have them do the work next week, and are hopeful of a positive outcome.

Worst customer service..!!!!They promised to send a plumber at a scheduled time. Had to call them twice to follow up when the plumber didnt show up. Made me wait for a whole day and when I called them to follow up again they told me that I had to wait for more time and they were not sure when a plumber would be available.Wasted my daydealing with them. Will never call them again.
