I have nothing good to say about this location. I cringe every time I go in. The only reason I do is because I have pre-paid oil changes and other preventative services. My last two experience have caused me to throw in the towel and give up my pre-paid card and call it a loss, just to avoid going into this shop; thats how bad of experience Ive had. Oddly enough, the actual auto service is fine, from what I can tell, so I should preface this entire review based on that notion, but the problem is, youve got to deal with the person in the shop (store manager), unless you can find a way to not interact with any people. The first time I came in, before I had anything done I was chastised because I hadnt had any work done on my vehicle in the past few years. I wasnt aware it was illegal to do business with other shops or go to other places based on convenience for my family and I, because he made it seem like it was. That wasnt the end of that. He made a dramatic claim that my oil pan was falling off and spilling oil everywhere and that I needed to spend $600 immediately to fix it. Okay, I get it, you need work done once in a while and Im willing to do it, but the terrible sales tactics on day-one are in no way conducive to building trust and overall building relationships and a solid brand. They are terrible at upselling and should work on that if they want to keep customers and grow their business. By the way, its been 3 or 4 months later and my oil levels are still good and my oil pan is still intact. My second time in recently, the same person made me feel like a complete idiot even though I was originally given certain information over the phone about the way they schedule appointments on weekends. I took the high road and suggested I probably made the mistake and/or mistunderstood; but needless to say I left their shop and actually went somewhere else and spent money where they didnt try to sell me things I didnt need and didnt make me feel like an idiot. Maybe others experiences have been different, but in all the times I have been to this location I have wanted to get out as fast as I possibly could.

I will NEVER do business with this company again. Specifically the Hillsboro, Oregon location. I purchased a deal that I received in my email box for Planet Super saver - 3 oil changes with Meineke. I purchased it and went in for my oil change. I have used these cards in the past no problem and there was no fine print saying I couldnt use it again. After all THEY emailed me. The gentleman at the desk said hi to me, then proceeded to ignore me for 5 minutes while apparently looking thru our multiple year history of bringing our vehicles for oil changes. Finally he looks up (his name is John) and says, I cant take that punch card. I said why not and he replied because its a two way street. All you ever do is get oil changes, never any other services so I wont take that card anymore I said I just purchased it today, and he said well we dont make any money off of you. I said how is that my problem, after all, I received an email with the offer just this morning? He said exactly. I said if you are going to be rude, then Im leaving and he said fine. So I walked out. I have had several bad experiences here and this was the last straw. In addition to this, I have had several instances of the same guys at this shop saying I had numerous things that needed emergency replacement right away. Having a funny feeling about it, I took my car elsewhere for a second opinion and sure enough, there were no problems with my car at all. I would like to hear back from someone who owns this location with what you plan to do about this experience.

I went to this location looking to save money. Sixteen dollar oil change. After they were done I was told "I dont want you to think we did this, but someone has been over tightening the oil drain plug and that the next oil change will require a new pan. The threads are stripped." The next morning I saw blue and red in the rainwater near my car. I called and complained. Eventdually he said bring it in and we will take a look. They argued with me some more, and then said they would try to put a self tapper plug in. They declared success with the plug and said I would need an oil pan at next change. I put some cardboard down and overnight it leaked 2-3 oz of oil. One step forward two steps back. I wish I had looked at reviews first. You get what you pay for, and sometimes not even that. Needless to say that not only did I not save the money on a good deal. I cost me both time and money. If they had said that there was a problem at time of service, I could have worked with them. Instead, they were so concerned with covering their mistake they let me leave twice now with an oil leak. Both occasions they said it was good. Word to the wise: if you use this service, keep an eye out for leaks after they are done.

Ive never been to this location and I never will. Less than an hour ago I had a man knock on my door to tell me about this business. Though I was not interested and standing outside in order to keep my dogs in, I was polite and listened. I am new to owning a car, so I have typically gone to businesses they recommend to me. When he asked me where I go for oil changes, I couldnt recall the name of the place (having only been once), but I do remember having a positive experience there. He snapped back my response to me "dont know, but youre happy there? Okay." And stormed off while mumbling to himself. So I called after him, "excuse me?" And he goes off on me how I couldve just said I wasnt interested and didnt have to lie to him, as though I had listen to his spiel for 20 minutes when the conversation was definitely under one minute. I didnt lie. I in other words did say I wasnt interested. This guy has issues and clearly doesnt belong in a position of customer service. He seemed friendly at first but proved quickly what a disguise that was.

Wheel bearing replacement cost 1.5x competitor and was done incorrectly. Counter man barked at me about "not using cheap parts" when I questioned the similarly over-priced quotation for the "correction" that his faulty repair suggested. (seriously, component cost 2.5x highest seen anywhere online, not just a premium supplier mark-up) Later I took to another shop for a quote and was told the most obvious possibility: the magnetic bearing was installed backwards. I called back Meineke to ask about that theory and I got a barely civil, "I guess I can look at it." Hilariously he confused me with someone else who had come back with an indicator light suddenly blinking, no doubt from a similarly competent repair over the same weekend. Rather than risk him finding new ways to ring up the cash machine I simply had the competitor put in a bearing in the correct orientation; and for much lower cost. I will just count myself fortunate to not have to go back and get condescended to.
