I called Bassitt because they were the closest to me. I called and explained that my work van wont start and also it had died on me in the past as I was driving it. I also told them I had just put a brand new battery in it, but it is still having issues starting. I was told on the phone that there is a $125 charge. I was ok with that charge knowing that a new starter will run me $200/250 max and I definitely wanted it to be fixed. So I get the van started(it starts every now and then ), I take it to the shop , they tell me "the good thing about our shop is we will look at everything in the van , sometimes its not a good thing because you end up finding out other issues with the vehicle but at least you know about it". I said ok great. Next day they call me and send me an email for an estimate of a bit over $1100. They said I need a new starter and that will fix the issue( no news to me as I already knew that part). They also said I need new brakes and rotors. I said how much for just the starter they said $460!! $335+125(their minimum charge). It didnt not make any sense to me at all. Why charge me 125 if Im going to fix the van. So I said no , I went in to pick up my van, they said they tried to get it started but "it melted their gloves"?? And I need to call a tow truck. At this point Im already frustrated, I have to spend $460 for a $200 job. I spoke to them and they said they will give me $40 off. I said WTH lets just get this over with. I went back to pick up the van, they had to jump started to give it to me and it died on me on my way home twice. In less than 1 mile. If you are going to overcharge $125 for what you are calling diagnosis then do your job!! I actually work hard for my money to pay you $420 and end up with a non working van that I have to take to a shop that can actually do the work.

Beginning in January I had taken our truck to Bassitt several times and had repairs done. Each time I asked them about a noise coming from the front end and though they were unable to find the problem they charged us $52, $52 and $84 for a diagnosis in addition to the other hundreds of dollars we paid for other repairs. In July we took our truck in for an over heating problem, and lack of AC and they finally diagnosed the noise problem. To fix the noise and overheating problem they gave us a $2300 estimate. I thanked them and took my car for a second opinion and of course Bassitt charged me another $176 for diagnosis when I picked it up. According to Bassitt the overheating and AC problem could be fixed if I replaced the AC condenser fan and radiator fan clutch for around $600. The shop I took my truck to for a second opinion simple bleed air out of the coolant system and charged me nothing and the overheating and AC problem went away. The second shop asked whether anyone had worked on the coolant system within the last several months and yes Bassitt had. I think like a lot of people I was fooled by the novelty of the decor and the "friendliness" of the employees but missed the big picture of potentially unneeded repairs and then excessive costs when repairs are done. I wont be fooled again.

I had a charging issue with my 65 mustang, already changed the alternator and voltage regulator. They quoted me $125 over the phone but when I took it in they said they said it may take longer then the $125 quote so lets start with $250 and I agreed. They came back with a alternator issue and also the after market stereo is pulling to much of a draw to keep up with the alternator. I took the car back to Car Toys since the stereo was still under warranty and they said there was nothing wrong with the draw. After replacing the alternator belt and getting a tight fit there was no more issue with the charging system. I called Bassitt Auto to complain about the missed diagnostic and they refunded the full $250 stating that they missed the call on that one. NEVER before have I ever had a mechanic shop admit they were wrong and give me a FULL refund! They have earned my trust and my business from this day forward.

Finally a trustworthy auto service ! I have been using Bassitt for years and have always been Very impressed with their professionalism and pricing. Today, they have gone galaxies beyond anything i have ever experienced. on I5 between Portland and Seattle, my car blew a spark plug.I pulled over in Chehalis and called bassitt to ask advice on where to go. They sent me to LaDucs in centralia. There were no replacement spark plugs in seattle or nearby, so Craig (at Bassitt) got his hands on one in Portland and DROVE IT HERE personally. I cannot express how appreciative i am on their efforts to get me back on the road! And hurrah to La Ducs too! You can do no finer than Bassitt!

Bassitt Auto is great. I like the option for a limo service. I like how they call and update you on the status/findings of your vehicle maintenance. My favorite though is when its all said and done the vehicle has that like new feeling again. I also like that they dont replace needless items. When my car was making a clunk during turning, due to Tie Rod Bushings/Tie Rod Ends, they only replaced the necessary ones. Because although I dont like to work on my car I dont mind inspecting and researching to see what is wrong and make sure service is necessary. Overall I highly recommend Bassitt Auto. Top notch professional service, Ive never had a bad experience.

Bassitt Auto ~ We cant say enough about them. Their service was amazing, the establishment was clean, you can even get a mocha while waiting for your vehicle! We loved all the basset items! It was nice to see everyone with smiles on their faces and being attentive in making sure we were taken care of properly. All the guys and gals are absolutely awesome and friendly. The prices and maintenance needs were clearly stated and not taken care of without our understanding and approval. We are very grateful they did not take advantage of us in anyway because of our lack of knowledge in vehicles. Thank you Bassitt Auto for being awesome!

The service is very friendly. Free coffee, cocoa or tea. For the amount of work they did the price was worth it. They even provided a free loaner car, all you have to do is return it with a full tank of gas. They do have a limited number of loaners so they might not always have one available. They diagnosed and fixed the issue with my vehicle and even warrantied the work for 2 year or 24000 miles. The tech who worked on my vehicle seemed had done a pretty job in the repair. It has been running better than ever since the repair to vehicle. Im very happy with the repair. They will be my "goto" repair shop.
