I could tell a story about how I came to have work done at Aloha Auto Center, but Id already done that from my review for Ron Tonkin Acura. I called Aloha Auto Center, desperately looking for a good garage to do the work I needed on my Acura. The threads on cylinder 5 were stripped and i needed a Time-sert installed, something to get the spark plug in there and keep it there. Terry took a look at my engine after I had the car towed in and said, "Yep, I can do it. This is the insert Ill use." I spoke with Kevin about what I needed done while Terry was silently and steadily working. They had me on the road a few hours later that day! They took the worry of paying $3000-4000 (maybe more?) and gave me a $700 quote. I nearly fell over from relief. They handed me a bill for $650, I paid and bought a couple cases of beer to show my gratitude for working fast and efficiently. I felt like I was getting a bad deal from Ron Tonkin Acura even though they claim to work with high standards. At Aloha Auto Center, Terry and Kevin, did what I WANTED. They did a fantastic job and at a price I could afford. The car is still running fine and its been a week. If i lived there, Id be taking my car in, without fear of being scammed, any time I got a blinking check engine light. Thank you Terry and Kevin!

I had taken my car to 2 other places to have a new to me used car check out and also have a whining noise checked out. The first shop told me it needed $1750 worth of work and I didnt beleive it so took it elsewhere. The second shop said it didnt need brake work at all and thought the sound was something else. Aloha auto said it only needed the back pads done and didnt need the rotor turned like the first shop did and that there was a small leak in the power steering system but it just needed watched and not replaced at this time. I hadnt told them that I was checking up on what other shops told me. They were fair, honest and practical as well as doing the work quickly and keeping me informed along the way. I will definitely keep them as my mechanics.

Ive used these guys multiple times. They are quick and efficient with their services and generally do their best in fitting you in promptly. They did a pretty big job on our vehicles and everything went pretty smoothly. We did both of our vehicles back to back and asked if there could be some sort of discount for the second vehicle due to us spending so much (albiet fair) for the first vehicle. Yet, we were met with a "no." Now I didnt fight it too hard and had them do the services anyways, but its just hard for me to believe they couldnt go down at all. Not even $25 to say they gave us something? They were good though and Id use them again. There are no frills or hidden costs. Just good, efficient repairs and services.

Our family has gone to this shop for over 10 years. Theyve always done an excellent job. I feel that they have always been honest, and they usually manage to come in a bit under their estimate. This is the only place that we take our cars for repair and service. We run our cars for as long as is possible, and I feel that they understand that balance between the need for service/repairs and our need to not spend money. They have never incorrectly fixed anything, and always answer all my questions. Their work is timely, and we can drop of the car the night before a repair is to be done, which is very convenient.

Despite living in Tigard, I will still drive all the way out to Hillsboro to bring my car to these guys. They do really good service. They dont oversell you or treat you like an idiot, its all just matter-of-fact work, get in, get out. You tell them whats wrong, theyll look into it. Thats all I really ask of mechanics. It can be annoying looking for a mechanic when you move into an area, so, as a native local who goes here (along with my dad), I wanted to write a review in their favor for any potential new customers.

This placed helped me with pressing a bearing onto a rear end differential that I decided to do myself. I brought in the pinion and expected to pay as the other machine shops I called said it would cost $10-$20 to press the bearing on. So I went around back handed it to him and he pressed it on in 30 seconds he handed it back to me and told me to make sure I set the bearing properly back in by tapping it and sent me on my way. Yep he did it for free and gave me advice. Thats an awesome neighborhood auto shop.

Not 100% sure how I located this shop but for the last few years, we have trusted Kevin, Terry and company to maintain our small fleet of Toyota vehicles. Not only are they friendly but they are knowledgeable and do quality work.! "Word of mouth" is the best form of advertisement. Told my brother-in-law about them and now he takes his fleet of Toyota vehicles to Aloha Auto for dealer-like repairs but at a fraction of the price.

I agree with the other reviewers here. This shop is top notch. I took my Cherokee here for an electrical problem and they solved it in 1 day and for a price that I felt was very fair for the amount of work needed to find the short. They also recommended another repair but were very honest about it. I didnt get it at the time but will probably be back to get it done. Highly recommended!

Ive taken 3 different vehicles to Kevin and the folks at Aloha Auto Center and their support and pricing has been excellent. Only one time out of something like 10 visits have I had to go back for any additional work and they took care of it and handled it very fairly. My only hesitation for posting a review is that I dont want them to get so busy I cant get an appt. :)

Top notch shop. Had a new engine put in my F150. Kevin was very thorough in how the process would work, gave me options and kept me informed on progress all the way through the job. Price was right in line with what the said it would be and less than other estimates I got. Very friendly shop to work with. Definitely will use for other vehicles we own.

My husband and I took our Rodeo in a few months back. In the past we have had some bad luck with vehicles and mechanics so, we were thrilled when they not only fixed it in just a few days but, also guaranteed their work and the cost was fair! Our vehicle runs like new and I would recommend Aloha Auto to everyone!!

I have had my car repaired a couple of times in the last 6 months at Aloha Auto Center. Both times I was treated with respect, my car was ready when they said it would be and they have done an excellent job. I will be coming back in the future for auto work. I do recommend them to others.
