I had my upper and lower intake done here last year on my Buick. They also upgraded the plastic coolant elbows with metal ones. So the intake has held, one of the o-rings on the elbows blew out and I started losing a ton of coolant. I brought it to be repaired because it was under warranty. They told me it was done and said I needed a new PCV, although they replaced it with the intake. So I drove it home 40 miles and today went to check the work. The first thing I noticed was the insulated cover over the motor was gone. How one forgets to put on a huge part that the motor clearly looks strange without is beyond me. Upon looking at the coolant elbows, which have o-rings, I noticed they were slathered in gasket sealer. Theyre not supposed to have any gasket sealer on them, thats why they have o-rings. Im beyond upset with this and theyre closed for the weekend to make things worse. Ive posted pictures of my car with the cover the day before I brought it in, and how it looks now. Huge visible difference, hard to understand how someone forgets to put that back on, then never notices it and calls me. I also posted pictures of a properly installed coolant elbow and how mine now are, which is covered in gasket sealer.

My experience with South Valley Automotive was extremely positive. I initially went for an oil change, which was quick and affordable. In addition to the oil change, the mechanic provided me with a printout of other repairs that were needed on my car, and discussed honestly with me the time frame I had to attend to those repairs. When I finally came back for the repairs, I had misunderstood the pricing on the print out (entirely my mistake) and was a little taken aback. The mechanic was extremely courteous with me, although I was in the wrong at the time, and was willing to work with me. South Valley Automotive has fair and honest prices, talented mechanics, and EXCELLENT customer service. I highly recommend them for trustworthy automobile maintenance and repair.

I took my car in fully believing that I needed a major brake job, instead they were fine and I still had enough pad for a few more months. I had a quote ffrom another shop for some other work I needed done. They came in over $100 less. They are fast, friendly and obviously Honest. They will have all my car repair business !
