I went in to get the front two tires on my vehicle replaced. The man I spoke to claimed that the tires on the back axle were snow tires and that they were worn out. For these two reasons he could not replace my front tires without making me buy an entire set for the vehicle. I purchased the two rear tires from a different Les Schwab less than a year ago and heard no mention of them being snow tires. Furthermore, though they are not brand new, they still have plenty of life left in them. This is actually the second time I have encountered this problem at a Les Schwab. The first time, however, they had already taken a tire off and refused to put it back on for "liability reasons." I am no expert on their liability issues, but this seems to me to be a ploy to force me into buying new tires when it is not necessary. I did not ask the employee to touch the rear tires but he insisted that he was required to do so and so refused me service because I wouldnt buy an entire set of tires when it was not necessary to do so.

Took my car in after having my brother replace the bearings. They looked at the tire, shook it, drove my car..told me I needed new bearings, hub and rotor. The last time they told me this was at the Newberg store, they quoted me $350 for a $40 part. That is why my brother did the work. The tire was still not feeling right, that is why I took it back in. Well, I did not have the money at that time to get the work done. I was stressed and had no choice, I had to quit my job, I could not drive the car like that to work. My work is all over the state, ot in one spot. Finally, I get the money to get the work done, but I took the car to a local mechanic, they quoted me over the phone $180-$200-they jacked it up did the same thing Les Schwab did, except one thing, they tightened the bolt that was loose on my tire. That was all that was wrong with my car!!! I will never go to Schwab again ever! ANYWHERE!!! YOU COST ME MY JOB!!!!!

Our Daughter had a blow out near Independence. She got some help from a nice couple putting the spare on but was unsure about driving for 2+ hours back home on the little doughnut spare. So we told her to take it to the nearest Les Schwab and we would pick her up.. That was the Independence Les Schwab. We dropped the car off in the parking lot and called them they next morning and they set us up with 2 new tires after seeing that the other tire had suffered major damage as well. They checked the brakes, shocks, etc and even fixed an oil leak we had been concerned about. I used to believe that the customer service at Les Schwab was not worth it, after dealing with them over the phone and the extra mile they went to fix the oil leak they have a new future customer for sure.

I have never been treated more poorly at a business. I was talked down to in a very condescending and sarcastic manner. This is after they sent my pregnant wife on down the road with faulty tires not once but twice putting her in danger. The salesman told us after bringing the car back after only making it 2 miles because the car was shaking violently that we needed to drive it like that and that the tires would " change composition " after about 500 miles. Really sad after 20 years of doing business with Les Schwabs that the Independence location made it so I and A LOT of people I have talked to will never do business with Les Schwabs again.

just to let you know i am not one of your happy customer. like today i stop to get a flat tire fixed and was told it would be 1/2 an hour, thats ok after an hour a lady came in with the same thing i know there busy so i gave them a little more time until they took the lady before me who had only been there ten min. this is not first time. three time i have been to independence les schwab and had to wait. sorry to say i will not be back thank you for your time. p. s no one knew where my work order was even the man that took it i took my tire to someone else.

This is my 2nd time there and great service each time. Firstly time, I am driving through town when I was house hunting and driving a rental car. The rental car got a flat tire, went there, and they fixed it promptly, and for FREE!!! They earned a customer for life. The following year which was yesterday, I needed four new tires for my Tundra. They were priced right and got the job done professional and quickly. Kudos!

Really nice employees - especially Van. Hes amazing! Hell tell you straight up what the scoop is. I dont need new tires right now - but Im going to go out of my way to come back here when I do, because I was taken care of so well by their employee Van.

This Les Schwabs has been nothing but helpful for me. They have done my alignment and replaced my rear two tires for me. The latter I had come in about 15 minutes before closing and they got it done very quickly (no more than 30 minutes).
