My husband and I have been members of various gyms for at least the last 20 years. Typically a gym will close after about 3 years if not run properly; our last gym (Golds/Platinum in Keizer) closed abruptly with out notice. So we were hoping for a 24 hour gym to come to town. We checked out the other one in Keizer, but it required a 12 to 18 month contract; well we are very leary of contracts, so decided to drive all the way to West Salem SNAP instead of committing to any long term deals. SNAP fitness doesnt require any contract at all. It is a franchise, so everyone gives different specials and if you sign up for more months you get special pricing. My hubs and I have a joint membership and got a great price. It is great to be able to work out anytime of the day with out waiting for the doors to open. The gym equipment is new and very functional. The gym is CLEAN too. You can adjust the volume of the music. There are TVs in front of the cardio equipment. They have free weights, a boot camp room AND a room with a projector where you can choose your work out; this totally fits in with my lifestyle b/c I have young children and cannot always be on time for regularly scheduled classes. One of the 2 bathrooms has a shower. Now, onto the trainers, they have 3. My experience is with Kimberly Davis. So, I have never used a trainer before, but have watched and listened to many. I HIGHLY recommend her. She rises to your fitness level and then beyond to make you work. None of the chitchatty stuff - just a REAL GOOD work out. I used to think I wouldnt get a good workout with a trainer, but I was completely wrong. Kims husband Stryder is also a trainer there and he has some great credentials too. Ken is the other trainer, but I havent been around during his training sessions; he deals with the memberships as well and I might add is super friendly and prompt with any questions or help you might have or need. Owners are local and very friendly. I hope this gym stays around - it has been my favorite by far.

Do not go to this gym. After I purchased a groupon for a 3 month membership the staff did not show for my first appointment. When I finally met with an employee I was not given any type of introduction, tour, or explanation about the classes and other services that are part of the membership. The owner did followup by phone but she turned it around and said that I was being rude to the staff. She told me to return my card and withdrew my membership! This is no way to treat a customer! What gives her the right to withdraw a membership that I paid for! It should be closed! I only gave one star to allow this review to be published. Bring your business and desire to get healthy somewhere where people actually care, and treat you like a customer rather than scold you like a child!

Everyone at the gym is super friendly. James is a great employee. He is helpful, nice, and makes working out a joyful experience. He seems to enjoy his job which makes the work-out experience nicer as well. James listens to members and does his best to fix anything that the member needs. For example, there were no fans at one point and I mentioned this. Within a week there were fans to help make my work out experience more enjoyable. They also have a lot of wonderful, newer equipment. I myself do not like to work out but know I need to. This has been one of the more enjoyable gyms I have ever been a member of. Thanks James and Leslie for making the gym a great place to be!

This place was good, until I left. Then I get told that my $25 access card that I paid for when I signed up would not be refunded because the "rules changed" even though when I signed up, it was explained to me that I am paying for the card in the event it is lost so the money is covered to replace it and when I return the card, I get my money back. So sometime during my time at Snap, the "rules changed" and now Im left paying for my card I never got refunded for. The new management sucks. I liked the place up until today.

I have been at various gyms over the last about 15 years. This is by far the best experience! James, the manager works hard to keep it clean and a supportive community vibe. He is a wealth of knowledge and eager to answer any questions from proper form to nutrition. No grunting gym rats here!
