My wife and I wash our cars weekly because built up grime, especially during the winter, can damage autos. I own a new Mercedes sedan and my wife drives a minivan which she uses to transport kids all over the place. While Ive tried many. many car washes in and around Lake Oswego, I only go to the Lake Grove Car Wash today because it always cleans a car like it should be cleaned. Other car washes seem to emhpasize speed. They strive to put your car through the cleaning process fast. Ive come to notice a common denominator with those car washes: 1) fast does not wash my car and, 2) they faster they go the more harmful chemicals they use. Lake Grove Car Wash cleans the exterior of the car wash well and their speed is not discernible slower than others nearby. Furthermore, the interior is meticulously clean. The workers there do a marvelous job. Other interior car washes employ too many hands and they speed through the interior with unacceptable results for me. My wife and I average twenty minutes to get our cars cleaned inside and out. Thats not very long and I get personal attention. Lake Grove Car Wash is the best around. Steve W.

I cant speak to the rest of these reviews, but I have had great experiences at Lake Grove Car Wash. I recently took my car in for an exterior/interior job and it looks fantastic. The exterior is pretty standard (though the tire treatment looks really nice and seems to last for quite a while) but the interior is what really impressed me. The guys vacuumed every square inch of that car, cleaning areas I couldnt clean myself in several hours. The interior looks like new, plain and simple. The whole thing cost $25.00 with a tip for their hard work and only took 20 minutes. To the people who have had bad experiences, heres a suggestion from someone who used to work at a car wash: treat your attendant with some dignity and respect, and consider tipping *before* services are rendered so he knows you care. I would ALWAYS put forth more effort on customers who brightened my day, even if they didnt tip, because they made me feel like they valued my time and work. Just a suggestion.

The most terrible car wash in Lake Oswego and Portland combined! The combination of an insolent and obnoxious Chinese woman owner, and her gang of Mexican thugs who swear at customers, plus extremely low quality (but expensive) car washes make this sorry environment something to avoid, for sure! Half of the automatic carwash tunnel brushes did not work, did not turn, and did not oscillate. When I complained about it, I was told to speak with the owner (who was not there). Then, when I brought the car below, to the detailing station, I had to wait at least half an hour for somebody to start on my car. Only one man was working on another car, while three or four employees were doing nothing around the car wash tunnel. A total disgrace. My sincere advice: never even come close to this horrible “Lake Grove Car Wash” place! Peter Ilica

Im starting to think that maybe my expectations are a little too high. I took my car in for a full service clean. I have cloth seats so I asked for a shampoo (my total was $120 which I had to pay before they began). They did such a horrendous job and were extremely rude and unpleasant. There are streaks all over my interior from them not wiping it down, my seats have streaks on the sides which will dry to look like dirt. There are multiple spots with dust clearly visible (large spots). And these are the things I noticed when I already left. While I was still there I pointed out multiple very visible spots that were missed. Im sorry but when I pay $120 to have my car cleaned I expect better

Ive been here several times and everything was usually ok. But one time I went to get a full service and one of the guys vacuuming my truck opened the door into another brand new car. Nothing was scratched or dinged, but they still hit the other car. Then the last time I was in there the car wash machine put a huge scratch about 2 foot long on my rear fender. I complained to a few of the guys there, but they wouldnt do anything about it. They said " Dont take it here. This car wash is no good." So from now on I will not be taking my truck to Lake Grove car wash. And they will be getting the bill for getting the scratched fixed.

I went back within a 2 week time frame. The first time was good, not great. The second time they charged me 3 dollars extra saying that I was charged more for my SUV vs. a car, however they didnt mention the extra charge previously. The guys cleaning the inside were too busy laughing and joking in Spanish to be interested in cleaning the inside. Disappointed that this car wash was inconsistent. I had hopes of finding a place to do loyal business with. Seems that is the norm for Portland. They have the worst service Ive ever seen. Been all over the world and Portland is a joke at best. Or shall I say LO!

My car was actually damaged at this car wash! Owner was waving the car behind me onto the track and did not notice how close the car was to mine - smack! $500 in rear bumper damage! While ultimately the responsibility is with the driver - the owner was very unhelpful - clearly only concerned about her liability and not helping to resolve the situation. She was very short with both of us who were trying to figure out what to do next. The person who hit me had been coming to this car wash for "years" - yet no help or recognition from the owner. I for one - will never go back!

Ive been going here for years. There are only 2 full service car washes in Portland, Lake Grove and the Washman chain at some locations. Ive tried them both, and Washman was always sloppy and careless. These guys always do a good job. Some people complain they take too long, which I find ridiculous. Honestly, take as long as you need to get my car spotless. Thats usually how I find it, and if I do find anything I missed they will immediately correct it. Rosie the owner is frequently in the office, almost always at closing time, and will take care of any problems you have.

I took a minivan here that I just purchased "used" the day before. It was really grimy and needed a full interior detailing ($102.50) to shampoo seats, mats, carpets, clean cup holders, dash, everything. It took them 2 hours, just like they told me so I was prepared for the wait. They did a great job on this car. There were only two places they forgot and for how bad this vehicle was, and the really busy day, I cant complain. The price was decent and the car looks practically new now. I would recommend them. Thank you!

This car wash is horrible!!! I feel sorry for the Mexicans that scrub off the the car (in a hurry) but they actually managed to put some (minor) scratches in my brand new car :( The car wash is cheap and thats what you get. My car was really dirty (from driving to the mountains) and was not clean at all after this procedure. The "automatic" part of this car wash is the worst piece of machine I have ever seen (really old and dodgy) but also kind of typical for the often poor American engineering.
