All info in this review can be verified by the buyers, sellers, agents and other multiple witnesses. TERRIBLE customer service TERRIBLE workmanship TERRIBLE follow through TERRIBLE communication TERRIBLE management TERRIBLE accountability TERRIBLE commitment TERRIBLE business This review is after dozens of phone calls, a still uncompleted roof that was paid for by the sellers before we closed in October, and the worst customer service imaginable from a "family" business. Oswego Roofing was the fill in for an overbooked roofer. It was a job that needed to be completed before the sale of the house could close. Oswego committed to the sellers that they could do it. There were numerous no-call no-shows and terrible communication. The close of the house was delayed due to this, causing terrible stress on the buyers, who were waiting to close on their new house. After we moved in, we found that the work was not completed. There was an entire ridge without shingles and the paper showing. The flashing around the chimney was a mess, and there was a downspout that was connected to nothing. I called them when I discovered this, and I was offered nothing but a run around. The excuses I heard included "we must have run out of product" and "no, its done." When I tried to explain the issues with the roof and their service, a different "manager" could only say "Im not going to argue with you." After many phone calls, a "foreman" came out to "finish." He did the bare spot on the roof, and then slipped away without doing the rest, nor checking in with us. That was 2 weeks ago. Many more calls from the agent, the "manager" was supposed to come by yesterday at 4pm. No call no show again. He later told my agent (with attitude) that it was dark, so he didnt come by. Today, he finally shows, and gives my wife a hard time, and claims she doesnt know what she is talking about. She tells him to back up and look up at the missing rain deflector. He then DEMANDS that she show proof it was there. Nothing but rude to a pregnant homeowner. She never even got the chance to show him the shingles, old and new, strewn about our yard. I will rather pay a different roofer for the repairs, and hope I NEVER have to use the warrantee on the roof. NO response from Oswegos owner or manager. Maybe they dont need the business.

I had, and continue to have, a terrible experience with this company. Id purchased and almost $400 roof cleaning package deal and was instructed to call or email to schedule the service. I did both, for weeks, with no response. It ended up taking over two months to get our service scheduled and every single employee I interacted with was incredibly rude. When I got the initial job estimate the company attempted to charge us $60 for a service that was included in the deal package ("a complete clean-up and wash of your driveway, house, walkways, and plants"). When I pointed out the error, they backed off of the charge. The company also attempted to charge us $100 claiming that our roof exceeded the covered square footage (which was ridiculous since they included our shed after being told we did not need that cleaned and our home did not exceed the square foot limit). Finally, the service performed by the company was appalling. Items around our yard were knocked over, and moss, dirt, and debris were blasted across our yard and those of our neighbors. There was virtually no "cleanup" done. Instead we were given a bill for $50 for overage. After this, the company sent out employees to prepare an estimate of work they believed needed to be done to our roof though we had no desire to ever work with them again. I was shocked to find that they wanted to charge us $175 for "re-nailing front gutter" when the original work estimate included the line "re-nailing gutters as needed". They were attempting to charge us $175 to do something that not only had we already paid for, they hadnt done! I wrote to the company head with this information, sure that reasonable minds would prevail. Instead, this despicable company sent our account to collections over the $50 bogus overage charge, INSTEAD of either a) dropping the matter entirely, or b) refunding us the $125 for the service they did not provide pursuant to the original agreement. I am prepared to litigate this matter if necessary. Buyer beware with this company. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.

We received bids from four companies to tear off and re-roof our house with GAF Timberline lifetime shingles. It wasnt a large job (31 squares), but has a couple valleys and an attached garage with a different roof line on one side that required step flashing. Of the four companies, I was most comfortable talking with Victor of Oswego Roofing and was hoping they were in the ballpark with pricing. As it turned out, Oswego Roofing was the lowest bid by $1000! The crew showed up on the day promised at 8:30am and immediately started to work. They had the old roof torn off, cleaned the area, and were putting the underlayment down within a few hours. The truck with shingles showed up at the right time to load the roof as the crew took a short lunch break. The crew worked until dark and returned early the next morning to finish the job. By 10am they were done with the roof and had the yard looking like it did when they arrived. I am very impressed with the speed and workmanship, and will be using them again to re-roof our barn. I highly recommend this company.

Unfortunately with this weeks wind storm a branch went through my roof like a javelin. The branch went straight through into my attic space. I phoned Oswego Roofing at noon. A man answered the phone. He listened to my problem and asked me to hold. Moments later the owner got on the line and said he would be over shortly to investigate the problem. He arrived within 30 minutes with a second employee and supplies. The work began immediately and continued for a little under an hour. Under 2 hours after the branch punctured my roof it was good as new. The owner advised he put 2 pieces of metal under the roofing & patched the 6" hold. He said it was safe to walk over the area and it was good as new. I appreciate the amazingly quick response and ease of dealing with this company. Pretty much the textbook definition of perfect service. Definitely added them to my house resource guide for future roof needs.

Nothing is worst than a contractor who does not show up for an estimate, at a day and time that he sets. I called and spoke to a person in the office "JOHN" on Friday 7/8/2016. He set up an appointment I thought for Tuesday 7/12/206 in the morning. At 12:00 PM I called and again spoke to John telling him I thought we had an appointment for this morning. His reply after verifying my address was he thought the appointment was on Monday 7/11/2016. (No one showed up on MONDAY as I was home the entire day) Then he asked if it was OK if his estimator came to my house between 2:00 - 3:00, which I agreed to. At 3:15 PM I again spoke to John and told him since no one showed up between 2:00-3:00 PM. To forget doing an estimate and not to come. Why do business with someone if they cannot keep appointments?

Have to agree with a previous review, I purchased a maintenance package for my roof. Followed the instructions to the letter by emailing and calling Oswego Roofing, no response to 2 emails and voice mails all 3 times I called. Left messages, no return calls. Had them do work at my residence in 2012, had zero issues and they did a quality job so hiring them again seemed like a no-brainer. They obviously have changed for the worse in 3 years. I would not bother with this company, they over sell promotional packages and cant complete the work once you buy a package. I just got a full refund and will be taking all my future business elsewhere.
