A company that truely lives up to its name.I watched the crew work on my neighbors house and liked what I saw. Timely arrivals, attention to detail, the same crew every day, cleaned up daily. So my journey began to a new roof, upgraded attic venting and the best decision 4 14 inch sun tunnels. These decisions dont happen overnight. From the phone call to make the initial appointment/consultation, to the end of the project it was a great experience. You will hear this over and over again so Ill get to my beneftis of my decisions. The upgraded vents for the attic space are well worth it. I noticed an extreme difference just a few days after the install. 2- 90 degree days outside and I didnt run the air conditioner. Windows open and the house stayed approx 75-77 degrees. I have been in my home for 9yrs thats never happened before. The truely dramatic change was the install of the sun tunnels. One was put in a small interior bathroom with dark walls and no windows. Before the install it was truely a dark hole that a light would have to be turned on no matter what time of day. After the install the only time a light needs to be turned on is if its dark outside. Words cant describe the difference. Another was put over the master bath vanity area. It being natural light I can almost put make up on without having to turn on the light. 2 more were placed to put light into the kitchen area, again a place that I would have to turn a light on no matter what time of day. Needless to say I dont have to do that anymore. The sun tunnels have truely brightened my home. They are attractive on the inside and on the roof. Placement is very important. Yuriys expertise was crucial in making that decision. The ptich of the roof, the surrounding walls, counter tops, furniture etc are all factors that have to be considered. I was very glad I chose the 14 inch ones instead of the 10 inch. I stayed in a motel the week prior to my install that actually had a 10inch sun tunnel in a dark bathroom and was dispapointed, still had to turn the light on no matter what. Needless to say I knew I made the right decision. A Cut Above Exteriors does come with a bigger price tag then many others, they dont try to hide that. They are doing good things with good quality people to make our homes a place we want to be. Its not just a job its a relationship. A big thank you to Bill, Rob, Jeremy, Yuriy, Viktor, Javier, Manuel and I know there are a few others...You are all truely A Cut Above!!!!

Ive hired A Cut Above for several jobs over the past few years. Yes, they are expensive, but I would still hire them again for my next big job that requires long-term support. Here is why: - Sales process: Josh Robertson is a completely down-to-earth, problem-solving guy who knows the industry. He has literally spent hours with me to help me brainstorm and plan my projects, and to do what he can to work with me on price. The time he has spent on brainstorming alone is above and beyond. I felt like I was talking to a good friend who cared about my house. I trust him. - Delivery: I have had two project managers oversee my different projects. Rob Colson and Peter Bretz have been nothing but professional and dedicated. On my projects, they have kept me informed of the plan, adjustments needed, things that didnt go as planned, and how they were going to fix them. Yes, there were problems, especially with my siding job. I have had a few subcontractors through them who I was unhappy with. But, A Cut Above was 100% responsive to my feedback. I have never had to make a stink about the problems that occurred, because these PMs took the initiative to put a mitigation plan in place before I had a chance to get upset. I can honestly say that I feel that Peter and Rob have gone above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the quality of work they provided. They also were cool enough to take photos of unrelated problems on my house that there is no way I would have been able to spot on my own, while they were up on the ladders, enabling me to take advantage of chimney warranties and other types of repairs that other providers were responsible for. They have followed up on my jobs even while they were on vacation. Above and beyond. - Customer Service: On some of the earlier projects, small things failed over time (gutter leaks, etc) and they have always immediately resolved the problems without giving me a hard time. You can save money by hiring independents on smaller jobs that dont need the long-term support. But I feel that the extra money is totally worth it on roof, siding, painting, and other things that you may need followup on years later - A Cut Above will much more likely still be in operation, as opposed to the independent who might have retired to Arizona within a few years. I only wish the price was a bit less. They really are not cheap, but I dont hesitate to recommend them and I would definitely hire them again if I had to do any of it over again.

A Tale of Two Contractors. by Dana...... My house is 15 years old and had a Cedar shake roof that needed some repairs. So I called another contractor, made the mistake of thinking everything would be fine, and allowed them to do some work. I came to find out (the hard way) that not all contractors have the skills to do a good job. Just because someone is licensed and bonded does not mean they have your best interests in mind. That "other" contractor ended up doing about $25,000 of damage to my roof, causing several leaks, and staining my roof without my permission. In short, it was a total mess and I needed someone to replace my roof and do it right. Enter A Cut Above Exteriors and Bill McDermott. From day 1 Bill McDermott took care of me and my home as if it were his own. Due to the previous damage, I had leaks and I woke up on the weekend with water dripping from the ceiling. I called Bill McDermott and asked if anything could be done ASAP. Bill rallied his team that Saturday morning and within 2 hours the team arrived and the leaks were fixed! And this was before A Cut Above was even scheduled to work on my roof! In the end, A Cut Above replaced my roof, they did a beautiful job, and they have stood by their work. The customer service was incredible! Their knowledge and expertise is top notch. But the thing that impresses me the most about Bill McDermott and A Cut Above Exteriors is their integrity! Bill did everything he said he would do and more. I really felt he had my best interests in mind at all times. I would recommend them to anyone. Better yet, I would recommend them to my own Mom. In the "Tale of Two Contractors" Bill McDermott and A Cut Above Exteriors are the Good Guys. Look no further.
