I used to work here. The loading docks driveway is set at an angle, which sets all of the 1-ton pallets at an angle. Once we loaded them onto the pallet-jacks, we literally had to run them backward out of the truck and toward the loading dock and hope that by the time we were at the bottom, the whole pallet has enough momentum to make it up the ramp back into the stores back room. I heard of one employee that had their toe run over. It wasnt nearly life-threatening, but not exactly safe either. Theres probably some sort of unseen code violation there, but Im not trying to nit-pick. The CtrlCenter bench really isnt what it used to be. CtrlCenter training only covers the basics. The very basics. The only thing the CtrlCenter techs do is connect to a 3rd party unnamed pc support site where their support staff diagnose and attempt to correct problems remotely. Point is, all they need to know is how to package-group and up-sell services and how to open internet explorer to a certain URL and log in. Want a diagnosis? That third party service does that, too. Then the CtrlCenter staff has to play the "Let me try to explain something to you that I dont really understand". Dont ask "why" more than twice. It doesnt pay to get upset, but you cant expect a TON of first-hand understandable tech know-how. Peter Walsh sucks. Dont get me wrong, the Peter Walsh furniture isnt bad. His organizational stuff borders on catering to high-strung, high-fashion, high-paid O.C.D. executives. Seriously, who buys a bambo-print/pastel 4-color pencil cup with letter holder made completely out of cardboard, glue, and paper stickers? Eight bucks? Any takers? No? I thought as much.

I am so tired of going to Office Max and trying to find someone to help me find something. Than when you do they act for the most part bored. Also when I called them to ask about a product that they told me they didnt carry it. But they say they have it in the store on line. So I went to the store to look for myself since I had to go to the Dollar Tree and its next door. Guess what, I found., They wanted more for it than they have it listed for on line. If I want it at that price I have to order it even though they have it at the store. Thank God Theres A MICRO TECH down the street. Way cheaper, nice helpful Employee, Ironically It was suggested to me to go there by an Office Max employee who was outside, heard us talking as we left, said he wouldnt buy at Office Max either. Thank you Micro Tech on McLoughlin Blvd.

They allowed me to return some software that was working as advertised just because I didnt like it. Federal law dictates that they must throw that software away (they cannot resell it). It was completely my fault, the box clearly states that the features I needed were not in this version, I just assumed that they would be there. They did this over the phone in less than five minutes with no questions asked. this is the first time I have ever had a company give me store credit on a software return, and the fact that they did it without hesitation is amazing. I will be going here for all of my office supply needs.

Twice, I went into Orifice Max to get two stamps made. The first encounter the person handling those was busy and took forever with helping someone. I got tired of waiting and walked out. To give them another chance, I went back yesterday, two clerks behind the counter, neither of which knew how to set up the account, to have stamps created. I was advised to fill out a form and come back the next day to see the person who was trained. I left the form on the counter, never to return. It shouldnt be that difficult to get the employees trained.

If you need help finding something dont go here. Went in looking for an alphabet sorter that Office Max has online, hoping it was instore as well. Was told by an employee who showed me to the desktop organizers that you dont carry any such product and she had no idea what it was. Ended up finding the same thing on Amazon for half the price.

Went in last night. Several employees standing around. None seemed to have the time to come and offer to work at the register to allow a customer (me) to check out. Hire people who care and are there to work, not socialize and I might come back. But me, my company, and the companies on my client list will NOT be returning.

You cant get anyone in the store to help, at the print counter theres no system, people cut in line or get helped before others who have been standing around waiting. One girl at the print desk always wants to argue with you or give excuses why your order wasnt done. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!

The woman helping my sister and I at the printing center was horrible. She looked like she would rather be doing anything else than helping us. She was condescending, rolled her eyes at us, and made us feel unwelcome. I do not recommend going to this Office Max.

They stayed open an extra 5 minutes for me to get there on time! I was really late at night, and needed something quick, but I called in, and the manager said it would be cool if I got there fast. What a great guy! Highly recommend!

The office supplies are generally overpriced. The printing service is terrible, Im sorry to say. Technical difficulties abound, combined with workers who dont fulfill orders in a timely manner. I wont be coming back anytime soon.
