tl;dr Lied, committed fraud, lied some more, then spouted nonsense that was lies and ignorance blended into one. My vehicle was in dire need of alignment, due to my own mechanical repair. Called when "completed" I went and paid, and drove away. Immediately I could tell my vehicle was STILL pulling hard to the left. Looking over the paperwork for camber/toe adjustment info, I saw that the sheet given to me was the wrong vehicle, handwritten milage that didnt match mine, and was dated several days prior. Turning around, I returned and asked for MY paperwork. I was told "its just a bunch of technical jargon, you dont need it." when pressed, he went to the shop and talked to the guy who "did my alignment," then declared that the sheet hadnt been printed, the computer doesnt save that information, and he was very sorry but theres nothing to be done about it now. Returning home, I crawled under my vehicle and examined the tie rod adjustment turnbuckle I had installed... All bolts had an even coat of old road grime, not a single clean thread from loosening. Fraud visually confirmed. My vehicle was taken back several days later by the shop I had originally gone through, and he let them know that BS was unappreciated, and to do the job and do it right. When they called that afternoon, they admitted the job had not been done the first time. They them went on to say they could not do my alignment 1.) because I had a bald tire (I have the outer edge of one tire bald, because I need a damn alignment!) And 2.) because my vehicle was squatting in one corner because I needed new shocks. First off, shocks are NOT what holds my vehicle in position. My truck has torsion bars on the front, and adjusting them is PART OF A NORMAL ALIGNMENT. (confirmed via Les Schwab) Second... My shocks are fine. Ive done the bounce test, they all react wonderfully, and my ride isnt unpleasant. So, a second tldr... They are idiots who dont know a damn thing about the very services they provide, and they are LYING CHEATING FRAUDULENT PEOPLE. That is all. P. S. Im considering contacting bbb? This seems like shady business practice to me.

My husband and I have been customers of the Oregon City Meineke for approximately 2 years. We have always been very happy with their service work and customer service. We first came to them after having numerous bad experiences with other auto repair shops in the Portland Metro Area. We basically had our first car repair experience with Meineke and never looked back. Yesterday, I went in to have my tire pressure checked because of constantly having low readings on my on-board tire pressure monitor. There is a new manager, Mark, who was at the service desk when I arrived. I hadnt had any auto work done in a while, so this is the first time I had met Mark. From the moment I walked in the door, he did everything possible to help me and to make my Meineke experience great. There had been some change over in management since the last time I was in, but Mark very patiently found all of my service records, and even waited while I phoned my husband to get some service dates, etc. to make sure we had all the info we needed. After that, they fixed my tire pressure problem, and found that my front brakes were pretty much toast. I suspected that because I had the front brakes replaced at another shop and they totally had ruined the front rotors. I had this tremendous shake in my steering wheel, which has been getting progressively worse. Yesterday, the technicians found that not only were my brake pads almost non-existent, but the rotors were so warped that they were in no way salvageable. Mark quoted me a great price, and they were able to complete the work within about an hour while I waited. They have coffee and water available, and I was able to change the station on the TV and adjust the volume as needed. Usually at other shops, the manager sets the TV on whatever station they want to watch and you just have to put up with it. I know that sounds like a little thing, but sometimes its those little things that really help to add up to not only having your vehicle really fixed correctly, but enjoying a stress-free wait. I hope Ive conveyed my overall opinion that the Oregon City Meineke is a top-notch auto vehicle repair shop!

My wifes mini-van is running like crap. The Oregon City store tells her that because of its age it probably needs spark plugs. She makes an appt. two days ago for 11:00 today, Sat. April 20, and we take it in. Wed been told that it would take about an hour and a half because it took that long to change 6 spark plugs. (Ive changed a lot of spark plugs, and realize that the back three on this car are almost impossible to change without it being on a lift, but an hour and a half?) At about 11:30 the guy at the desk finally has time to see us between walk-ins and smoke breaks, and take the keys. He then calls the parts store to order the plugs, like they couldnt have been there already. Two and a half hours later we stop to pick it up and they havent finished it. They said that some other jobs had come in and they did them first. WE HAD AN APPT., THEY DIDNT! Half an hour later we got our car and it ran as crappy as it did when we took it in. They didnt do, or offer, any diagnostics or offer any help except to say that one of the plug wires might be bad and I should probably replace it, myself. I then bought and installed new plug wires that I bought across the street from the Meineke store and it still runs like crap. A neighbor, who is a real mechanic, said that it sounds like I need to have my fuel injection system cleaned. Thanks Meineke, Im out $150 for spark plugs that didnt need changing, another $40 for plug wires that they recommended that I take care of myself, an hour of my time to change them, especially hard because I dont have a lift at my house, and my car still runs like crap, and I have to take it to another shop to get it repaired correctly. Signed, one very unhappy customer. To say the least.

Horrible customer service, unknowledgeable, inaccurate techs (if you can call them that). I took my car in for a front end alignment as it had been pulling to the right. They call and tell me they can’t align it because the sub-frame is bent. The car was hit prior so I didn’t think anything of his claim. As they instructed I took it to a body shop, they spent an hour on the car and found out that the alignment was fine, I had a separated tire. I got the tires replaced and the car works fine. I called OC meineke back to tell them what the problem was and get my money back. The short answer was NO. Dead wrong diagnosis, time wasted going to the body shop for nothing. These guys are obviously unqualified. I wouldn’t trust them to check the air in the tires after this. DON’T GO THERE. UPDATE I stopped in this afternoon on my way home from work. I walk in the door, "how can i help you" the GM says, I say "well i would like my $66 back, please", in return i get "so your gonna come in here with an attitude huh". I did get a refund, but not before i was told the only reason Im getting it is because he had a "miscommunication" with his employee. Basically the feeling i got was that he was doing me a favor giving me my money back. It had nothing to do with a misdiagnosis of my car, oh no. Not long after i left the GM calls me, after he had read my initial google review. His attitude had completely changed and was asking i take down my review. Bottom line is had they performed all the functions of an alignment and attached the meters to the hubs they would have found the problem and saved me half a day of running to a body shop only to end up at a tire store.
