It brings me so much joy to see that the my old space the Ryan Ao Media Studio and Gallery and Constance Ao Healing and Massage space in Marvel 29 at the base of the St. Johns bridge in Portland, OR has been replaced by an amazing business, (very in line with our visions for the space), Cathedral Park Salon! Taylor Mathes has a grand vision for this space which includes a "green space" living wall, beautiful modern wood and metal interior decorating, pet friendly, complimentary wine, teas, coffee, and more served to you at the chair, and not to mention he is incredibly artistic and talented with hair!!! he is a stylist that specializes in mens hair (Currently priced at $30, and womens hair (currently priced at $50) and add ons of color, treatments, shampoos, and more. Hes got a selection of high end products available for sale as well. So get your hair styled like a celebrity and make your way over to this new and invigorating space literally right next to the St. Johns bridge and Cathedral Park! My haircut felt so invigorating right way, i loved the look of it, and he is the stylist ive been looking for that I will be coming back monthly now instead of going to my old barber.

I kid you not. My hair was nearly murdered from hard times, lived in the deep, Georgia south. One month living in PDX, I wandered into the salon Taylor was working. He was so warm, disarming, unassuming, and kind. He created a tangible, long-term, hair restorative plan for my destroyed tresses. It totally worked and I was still able to color it. Two years forward, Taylor now has his own salon digs, about 25 mins from me. Id happily follow him wherever he sets up shop. He has an amazing artistry. He knows what hes doing and he has the confidence to back it up. Hes also funny as all get out.

He takes the time to hear what you have to say, and offers his insight, developed over years of experience and practice. Hell provide what is best for your hair, your lifestyle and looks. Hes the most talented stylist and colorist Ive encountered in my many years of life. He has a great personality too, welcoming and warm. Taylor is an artist with hair. I met Taylor a few years ago and he has been cutting my hair since. I would generally cut my own hair, you know snap on guides and buzz cut. However since I meet Taylor, he has introduced me to many new styles. Last year I had him style my hair right before going to Burning Man. I got many compliments on both the style and the color. I would recommend Taylor to anyone. Thanks for all the great cuts Taylor.

I have ethnic hair and it has always been a struggle finding an affordable, time efficient, clean, convenient hair salon that I am satisfied with..... But Cathedral Park goes above and beyond!!! My appointments that used to take 3+ hours at other places now take 30-35 minutes! I look forward to seeing Taylor, and the new space is inviting, clean, and awesome! I strongly recommend any and everyone give it a try, it wont disappoint :)

I had tried a few area hair salons but felt like no one was listening to me about what I wanted. Taylor here was amazing in both listening and explaining why he was doing something. He was very personable and fast! I loved that going from very long hair to a bob did not take over an hour like usual but still looks amazing. I will never get my hair cut anywhere else as long as this place is here!

I decided to walk in today after noticing the new salon, and was greeted by Taylor and his dog Tank. Having curly hair it is very hard to find a good stylist, but I am confident saying that Taylor is the best. He is great to talk to, and is an absolute genius when it comes to cutting hair. I would definitely recommend Taylor to anyone, and will be back for many more hair cuts!!

Found this salon while sitting at stoplight. I went to see Taylor for a haircut and color. But not just any color. I asked for hot pink on the underside. And hot pink is what I got. Its beautiful and the cut hangs perfectly. Not only that, there was the added bonus of the best shampoo scalp massage!! I would highly recommend this adorable salon in St Johns!!!

I never knew it was so hard for anyone to just trim a 3 year olds ends, I called all around trying to find someone to be able to just trim, and my fiance found Cathedral Park Salon and Taylor was awesome! Taylor did an awesome job on my hair today! Cut, highlights and helped correct a previous hair color gone wrong. He was fast and gave me a great low maintenance do that this mom can handle. Great addition to the St Johns neighborhood!
