Well Im not sure completely of my experience, yet. I still have my stuff there until the end of this month, so, I may update this review. I gave them 2 stars for convenience- they were the closest and cheapest to my location at the time. I would not say $120/month for a 5×10 unit in the non-airconditioned, non- opened door- to promote- air- flow- on the 2nd floor is cheap, but it was convenient thus---- I will not keep my stuff there for very long---- They had a fire less than a year ago, and I remember hearing rumors around the neighborhood that the managers allowed homeless people to stay in storage units causing the fire. Well, they have new managers since the fire, but Im not sure things have changed. One day, while dropping off some boxes, there was a disheveled, discombobulated homeless woman just pushing her shopping cart around the storage facility. Im not sure where she was going, she didnt appear to be walking toward the exit, but rather walking straight down the center of the drive and not hiding. Then another day, on my way out, there was an older, very battered car didnt even look drive able, thats why I looked, and two people sitting in the car tweeking their brains out probably didnt even know where they were parked. And the last time I was there, these men with two big trucks - one a moving/box truck the other a newer diesel Dodge dually thing. The guys surrounded me with their trucks and harassed me while I was approaching the security gate control thing- the guy in the dually backed up to cut in front of me and the box truck went around the same way as me- which is the correct way and I flipped off the guy in the truck because it was incredibly rude of him, but I suppose that kind of behavior is expected in a big, ugly city like Portland. After I flipped the guy off I realized he did this on purpose to have an interaction with me because then he proceeded to stop, get out of his pig mobile and try to discuss the issue. I dont think so. What is wrong with men? You have a single woman surrounded by men and Im just supposed to sit there and let them do whatever they want to me? Well, they are lucky to have their legs. This place need better security. The managers are nice, I just dont understand why they have cameras and big gates when they just let anyone in anyways?? This place is not very safe and not cheap. I suppose its a good thing they are only open until 10pm I couldnt imagine if the place were open 24 hours

DO NOT RENT HERE! The people that manage there are very dysfunctional. You can even Feel the misery seething from them when you step into the office. The guy fake smiles you and is on the verge of a temper the whole time. And the girl never smiles, just looks angry.....What about the customer whose probably going through a stressful time, since theyre moving their stuff into storage??....these people know that its stressful, they do storage for a living! ......They act like they dont care basically.....then, when I had questions about the units, the guy there takes a phone call through our conversation; rude and unprofessional. Im wondering now if it was his dealer....lol. I patiently and tactfully waited while he pawned me off for the girl to take care of me. She showed me the unit, I had a comment, as I was thinking about all the other sales storage associates I had dealt with before theirs, and she had taken my statement the wrong way and tattled it to the manager/owner? Then when I talked with him he said I was rude to her, but It wasnt even regarding them; my statement...she would constantly interrupt me when asking about the units, trying to explain what I was looking for and wanted.. .. So, the guy tells me I was rude, and wouldnt give me a fair chance to explain a simple word I had said, and then denies me business there forever... Ive never been denied by Any business in my life, anywhere! I have tact, ethics, and morals and wouldnt ever let that happen. What kind of business denies customers, who operate through word of mouth, whom are good people, misunderstood?.....not a healthy business..... Again,,,,,these people are dysfunctional and rude and could possibly be coming down off of drugs. Do Not Rent Here!! Save your stuff ...

I agree with the first guy on they are lazy but that is not all. I just happened to have stored my property in Bldg. C409 and supposedly all my valuables were nothing but charred remains. I was told by managers Ive never seen before that as soon as the fire department completes its investigation I could salvage what I could from my property. Never got the chance to even see my property which I stored with them for about 10 years. Seems it was burnt so bad they disposed of it before the fire investigators finished their investigation.!! When asked why they did that they would not respond except for some nasty comments about how late it was and they wanted to close. When I found out about the fire on February 16th I went to the internet for answers. Seems KPTV took some photos (8) to be exact. The very last photo that was posted showed my property on the ground below my unit. It didnt appear to be burnt up then?? The managers did not want to see the article or the pictures. Mmmm wonder why?? Then adding insult to injury. A month and a half after the fire the managers tell me they have photos of my burnt out unit taken by them before they disposed of my valuable property. Why did they not say something prior to this?? Anyway, great I thought. Please email them to me which they did. Guess what the photos are NOT of MY UNIT even though they are labeled as such.... Now I know what happened to my property which I paid to store for 10 years. The fire department is sending me photos of my unit which according to them was only damaged by smoke and/or water. They will be hearing from my attorney from this point on. What a tragedy!!

I am a current customer at the Johnson Creek Money Saver storage place and I have used them now for about 5 or 6 years. My mother moved in with me about 4 years ago and was unable to downsize much so I rented her a unit for all of her stuff. Last week I got a call from someone at the office. Not Elaine and not her husband. I like these guys. But this gal that called me was terrible. She actually strong-armed me into paying more on my mothers unit. I have moms payment taken care of through her bank account and it goes out automatically every month. Elaine has told me that I am up to date, but that she gets the check late. The rent is due on the first but we rented moms unit in the middle of the month. I have offered to cover the partial months payment but Elaine has told me not to worry about this. I took her word for it. We have been doing this for the past 3-4 years now. So, this gal that is covering for Elaine (I guess, I hope she is NOT the new person now) called me and said you are late!!! Pay up or else!!! I told her that I have never been late on any of my bills, I dont pay late. She said it was due on the first of the month and I was wrong. Geeezzz lady, is that any way to treat a good paying customer??? Now, I like these guys. They have been nice to me and have worked with me and when I offered to pay the additional amount they said "nope, it is fine". So, there fill-in gal is not customer friendly and I am going to clear out moms unit and be done with it. I will not be treated like this and I am sorry Elaine, your service just took a big DUMP!
