My Grandpa died in sept 09....The next day my grandma called Omega (223 SE 122nd Ave)to schedule a appointment with the receptionist. We showed up that afternoon and a lady (the receptionist, wife of car salesmen,owner...We saw a Photo later and found this out) asked who we were (not the most friendly lady)? and if we had a appointment?? There was about 5 of us with our grandma, and she replies "YES". The lady was unkind and not very sympthetic toward us. She finally tells us go in the office. A man (Owner, car salesmen) walks in (10 min later )and starts going through his routine (like your buying a car). My grandmas in tears and not doing good, tries to reply to his questions, and they are not important ones. Like what did grandpa do for a living? How much did he make? does he have life insurance? does he have stock?? Grandma was not mentally there and struggling could not think of some of the answers....So the car salesmen says since he was in the service what did he do? My grandma starts saying how he was stationed here/there and he did this/ that. The car salesmen says so he was a "shipping Manager". Grandma says thats not right and he says "well these questions dont really matter they are for statistic purpose only". We all looked at each other and could not believe it, like my grandma had not gone through enough. But he kept on going and could not take a hint or let up. Then since my grandpa was in the service the car salesmen told us that they (veterans)will pay for some of the processes. The car salesmen detailing the whole cost of everything and says "The veterans pays for this with the last customer which would save you $200 dollars but it might not cover yours", and that someone in the office somewhere determins that. Why say that??? My grandma is already in shock over the whole grandpa thing. He should have said or told us "the veterans may cover this and re-imburse that, but we will have to see". The car salesmen is VERY insenistive and not very aware of our feelings, NOT ONCE did he tell us that he was sorry for our loss, and I have been unlucky in the past to have had to go through this and the others did (I think he got his licence off the internet). They may be cheap but I would go somewhere else if you have a heart, because they dont....

I have used Omega Funeral & Cremation service for several family members now and have had nothing but wonderful caring experience. They helped by getting information for our much needed death certificates (cant do banking, get life insurance etc. without them) and helped by putting the obituary in the paper. They helped me get the right amount of death certificates by asking questions about why I would need to buy them. Oregon charges a lot for these pieces of paper!! They didnt pressure me to buy anything that I didnt want. It is sad that I have had to use a funeral home so many times, but if I ever needed one again I would call the people at Omega to help me.

Our father passed away, and at a time when you are grieving things can easily become overwhelming. My sister found Omega, and I am so glad she did. Toni was amazing and everything went very smooth. She was on top of everything we were trying to accomplish for my fathers service. Being the VA can be difficult to deal with I was relieved when she said she had taken care of everything. I am so very grateful that during such a difficult time in our lives Omega, Toni was there to help us through this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Our family would like to thank the Omega staff in helping with the preparations for our loved ones cremation and memorial service. The service was well prepared, and Omega handled everything in a very professional manner. We would like to especially thank Toni for helping us the whole way through during this difficult time. She put us all at ease with the preparations, from beginning to end.

The people at Omega are absolutely amazing. I have had two experiences with them and both were excellent. They are extremely caring and kind. They helped our family take a very sad situation and turn it into a good memory. I would highly recommend them for anyone needing funeral or cremation services in the Portland area.
