What best defines Steve Wade and SFW construction? Reliable, Confident, Approachable, Professional. These are just a few way to describe the type of person and performance he brings to the job. Being a new home owner I was concerned about hiring a contractor to do some major work on my new home. I needed siding, window & doors all done on the new place and on top of all that the two story deck in the back needed to be completely rebuilt. Needless to say this was all very overwhelming. Fortunately, however I was able to find SFW Construction. Steve reassured me from the first time I spoke to him that he was going to take care of everything. Much to my relief he backed that up 100%. He and his crew worked their tails off to not only complete the job, but complete it on time and on budget, all with a smile. They were courteous of the neighbors and cleaned up the site every day before leaving. I came home one afternoon and Steve was mowing the lawn. It was a small gesture, but one that went a long way in my book. I have hired Steve to do trim work, interior doors, sheet rock repair and tile since he did the work on the exterior and no surprise he lived up to my expectations. There are so many people out there these days trying to make a quick buck at the sacrifice of quality. It was reassuring to know there are still people out there like Steve doing his craft justice. I recommend SFW Construction to all of my friends and Co-workers and I want all of you to feel confident that he will not let you down. In January 2012 I decided that my kitchen needed some updating. SFW construction was the first contractor I called. My work has a unique schedule in which Steve was more than accommodating. He is doing a complete remodel on of my kitchen, living room and entry way. Including knocking down a wall to open up the floor plan, new cabinets, countertops, lighting and hardwood flooring. Everything looks absolutely amazing.

Upon trying to sell our home late last year, we came upon some serious foundation/structural concerns with our house that we honestly had no idea existed. After taking a few months to chew on our dilemma and consulting with several contractor companies, my husband and I hired SFW for dry rot repair to one side of our home along with post and beam structural repair of our crawl space (which was extensive). Bryan Mullen, SFW’s estimator, and Patrik Curtis, their Operations/Project manager worked closed with us to not only determine time frame and scope of work, but also with our budget constraints. Beyond that, however, several characteristics of this company stand out: they will not compromise the integrity of their work (i.e. it will be done right the first time); they provide extensive documentation via photographs, flash drives, contract documentation and reports to the homeowners; and finally, they continued to provide supporting documents and worked with us on concerns the buyer brought up during the final sale of our home. I cannot emphasize the professionalism of this company enough: timely, respectful, & quality construction. I have already recommended them to several friends, and I will use them again in the future.

The whole team at SFW Construction came through. The builder of our three year old home used CertainTeed siding and we were notified by the builder of siding issues. SFW was on a list of recommended contractors from the builder. I had an inspection from a siding inspector to review the problems. I got three quotes and SFW seemed most knowledgeable and fair. From the arrival to the finished painted work the construction and painting crews were great and went over and beyond and completed the work in two days. During the construction project SFW showed my why they did not need to replace some of the siding less work for them. During the process they found a defect in the installation of a window that could have caused water entry and fixed the problem with the required materials to code. If needed I would use SFW again and recommend them too my neighbors. Thanks SFW team.

During the repairs to my house, I was able to ask about and direct the repairs as needed. The repairs were done in a timely manner once scheduled and the finished product was great. The included warranty repair work was just as good. The managers were able to provide me repair documentation and pictures of the repair work for later use as well. Payment was easy and they were able to spread out payment over a few months without adding to my cost. Communication from some of the office staff during and after the process was delayed at times, but the problems and questions were always addressed to my satisfaction.

SFW construction remodeled my dining room with French doors and did an immaculate job while keeping the area clean and organized. Steve and Levi were professional and down to earth, they gave me lots of options and explained pros and cons. I was so impressed with their work that I had them bid on repairing siding and painting and they beat the 3 other bids I got. They did a perfect paint job, my house is the most beautiful in the neighborhood. The quality of work, attention to detail and pricing is by far the best, I recommend SFW contractors to anyone.

These skilled craftsmen were very thorough and completed all of the assigned work. While a little on the high $ side, the work was excellent and I would recommend them to anyone needing dry rot repair completed on their home. I requested that they not paint so IO could save a little on the cost of the project. I had a door and post needing treatment and it took 2 guys virtually all day. I did get a break on an Angies list offer but the total job still cost over $1000.

Work was excellent - beyond expectations. There was some confusion on pricing. The manager/owner explained very clearly before I scheduled that they charge by "man hour", i.e., 2 men x 2 hours = 4 man hours @ x $s per hour. I asked the senior of the two men who arrived to give me an estimate on how many man hours it would take and he said 8. In fact, they were there all day and the total was 16. However, I was satisfied with the work and what I paid.

SFW Construction helped me out when I had a water disaster and my sheet-rock/ceiling needed repaired. The team showed up on time, was very professional and did an outstanding job. The lead guy gave me some suggestions on other work I could have done to fix some home builder mistakes. The only reason it is not five stars is no one ever got back to me on the other work I was interested in. What they did do was fantastic though.

Steve and his crew did a great job on the work done on my house. Painting the exterior, stripping and staining the deck, repair of a leaking window and installation of 2 new ones. All work was done with great attention to detail. Workers were very neat and curteous. I would highly recommend SFW Construction.

A friendly, professional and easy going rep (Jay) showed up to give me a quote that I had asked for on a residential job; and it was friendly, professional, quick, and easy going. I havent decided about which contractor to go with as of yet, but as of now these folks are looking very strong.
