Bob Youngs recently replaced our decking and deck structure, and we are completely satisfied with every aspect of his work. He is the consummate professional. He brings with him a wealth of experience, an unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship, and an extraordinarily high level of personal integrity. To illustrate these qualities I would like to offer a brief account of how our relationship with Bob began. Several years ago we were considering replacing our deck with a composite material. We approached Bob, who had been highly recommended to us by several friends and neighbors, about doing the work. After extensive discussion about various composites, he simply told us, “I just don’t know that I can recommend any composites right now.” We were impressed by his straightforward honesty. He wasn’t aware of any composite product that met his standards and he wasn’t about to compromise his principles and do the job with materials he judged unsatisfactory just to earn a paycheck. Although he didn’t know it at the time, Bob won our trust and confidence right then and there. We decided not to move ahead with our deck project at that time. And we also resolved that when we were ready to proceed, Bob was the person we wanted to do the work. A few years later we re-established contact with Bob. He informed us that he now had a product to recommend for our deck project, not a composite, but an extremely durable hardwood that he had just begun to use. We listened to his enthusiasm for this wood, researched a bit on our own, and ultimately contracted with him to do the work. His guidance was invaluable. And we could not be more pleased with the results. We found Bob meticulous, resourceful, and highly skilled in every aspect of his work. In particular, his commitment to excellence and his attention to detail were exemplary. He also communicated with us clearly at each step of the project, highlighting specific aspects of his progress on a regular basis. Even his invoices displayed the same care and precision exhibited in his construction work. We recommend Bob Youngs with enthusiasm and confidence, both for the high quality of his workmanship and for his personal integrity.

This past spring we had the good fortune to meet Bob Youngs, who was referred to us by our neighbor, Martha, who had hired Bob to work on two of her homes. We owe a great debt of gratitude to Martha. Assisted by his son, Jordan, Bob remodeled our kitchen, bathrooms and fireplace surround. By the time they were finished, we fell in love with our home all over again. Bob is a good listener, has an easy way of explaining the process and is very patient--all good qualities for neophytes like us. Most of all, he is trustworthy, fair and meticulous in each and every detail. The complete job came well within our budget. Bob and Jordan were in and out of our home over a period of three months, so we had ample opportunity to observe their working relationship together, as well as their relationship with other professionals with whom they dealt. We just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with the beautiful new master bathroom. We have wanted to renovate that room for ten years and could never come up with a solution that allowed us to get a double vanity in there without sacrificing too much of the bedroom space. Your design idea to solve our space problem was inspired, and it has allowed us to create this fantastic, spacious and functional new bath. The extra square footage has made the room modern, livable, and a wonderful addition to the house in both style and resale value. We couldnt be more pleased with it. Thanks to you and your sons for your professionalism and amazing attention to detail. We truly enjoyed working with all of you on this project and hope to engage your services again in the future. We wanted to go through the process of getting a "bonus room" permitted and to make any adjustments necessary to do so. Thats where Robert D Youngs Contractor came in. Bob listened to our thoughts and concerns the entire way through the process from his drawing up of the plans for submission through the actual updates that were needed and through to the actual permitting of the room. Bob and his sons were always courteous and prompt with their correspondence and their workmanship is of high quality. They replaced a window as well as a sliding door, helped create a pass-through from our kitchen to the addition, added crawl space access and additional venting and through it all they left our house clean when leaving for the day and kept us in the loop as far as how the process was progressing. Were looking forward to working w/Bob when we remodel our bathrooms in the near future and our kitchen down the line.

I recently purchased a home in Santa Rosa and hired Robert D Youngs. I am extremely pleased with his responsiveness and quality of work. In the future, I will be sure to give Bob a call whenever I need work completed on my home. As a first time home buyer he was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. The work completed was moving washer/dryer hookups as well as installing french doors in my office. Both look great!

As I was away when you did the job, I needed to trust you even more. And you didnt let me down! When I returned, the job was completed and the site beautifully clean. In these days of slap shod work, it is refreshing that contractors such as yourself pride yourself on your work and word.
