In mid-September I was looking for a (relatively) small storage space in Salem, Oregon to move into in mid-October. Most of the storage businesses I talked to didnt have any spaces like that available, and/or couldnt reserve one that far in advance. Salem Self Storage South was the only storage business that had more or less the right size space available at the time I would need it. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The only issue I had was the sites location way down south in South Salem. Our new apartment was in an area north of downtown, and it took 15-20 minutes to make the drive.

Reserved over the phone and was charged extra for insurance which I stated I didnt want. Was told this cannot be reimbursed back. Got the unit with a non functioning light switch, was told to screw/unscrew by hand to use until I could get them to repair art a later date. Unit was very musty/smelt like mildew so wasnt happy to site my stuff there. Ended up paying a lot of money to not use the unit since I decided to take business else where. Would recommend checking out unit before paying if using this facility.
