After doing a lot of research on what it would cost to repair my transmission on my Ford explorer I found this shop online. I needed a good shop that was close to my area and a place that wouldnt rip me off. After dropping off my truck, sal dug into my transmission and had good and bad news for me. Along with the main issue of the transmission he noticed a few other things about to go out. Without hesitation I agreed to allow him to fix them and to get my truck back to almost new. After picking it up, I was impressed on how much better it drove and it showed he actually took time to do things right. As most of us know, transmission repairs arent cheap. I got a slight discount and he also gave me a free oil change which was awesome. Id have to say, if I ever have any other problems with my truck id most definetly come back. Thanks again! Its hard to find a reliable and trusting person in this world.

Ive taken several vehicles to Sal. First I took my sons car to him to have the CV joints replaced. While he was doing that, he noticed that a hub needed to be replaced, so he replaced it and didnt charge us for it! I insisted on paying for it anyway. Then I took my daughters car to him when it wouldnt start. He found out it just had water in the distributor cap! I asked him to change the oil and do a tune up anyway. When I picked up the car he didnt even charge for diagnosing/resolving the starting issue! So then I told my grandmother about him, and she had an issue with the door on her car, so she took it to him and he fixed it for free! Hes a great guy to deal with and always honest. Highly recommended!

We had the axle on our passenger front tire come loose. We are new to the area so we dont have many mechanic contacts. We found Sal on Google and had our car towed to his shop. When we got there, he immediately took us in. We have full coverage but found out, after being towed, it does not extend to mechanic repairs, so we were stranded. Sal noticed our dilemma and asked if we wanted to borrow his car until he had ours ready. The entire repair was under $200, we were able to get home while he was working on our car and we were back on the road within 4 hours. He is a wonderful person to know in a bind; he really wants to help. The work was done well and we will be back. A++++!!!

I just moved to the Sherwood area and I was looking for a good mechanic to take care of my vehicles. After some research, I found Sal and Vinces Auto Repair on the internet and decided to give them a shot. Sal was very professional and he took the time to explain the repair procedure. He also completed my transmission repair under my estimated cost. Everyone should give Sal a shot at fixing their vehicles and I am sure he will prove to be the only mechanic you will need.

Ive waited a few months to see if the repairs Sal did on our two vehicles held for the long run before posting a review. They have. Sal has proven himself a highly competent and honest mechanic. His charges for both repair services were very fair. In the case of a Honda timing belt and water pump changeout, his price was almost half of what an area dealer was charging. Strongly recommend.

I went here after my DEQ inspection couldnt go through because the fuse to my OBD port blew. They were able to help me right away and fixed the fuse. I offered to pay but the guy who helped me refused any payment. They were very friendly/helpful and I am very grateful for their help. It saved me another 45 minute round trip. Thanks!

Sal is an honest man! Came I. With a problem, he spent 20mins looking at my car and didnt charge me a thing. He probably felt bad that it was going to be a $5000 new transmission that I couldnt afford. But he still couldve charged me for his time. I will be going back, knowing that I will get an honest mechanic. Thanks guys.

Words do not due Sal and Vinces enough credit. SAL is a GREAT wrench! He has renewed my F250 4x4 diesel, found and repaired all the quirks in our classic 1994 Stealth RT and our BMW 530i has never performed better. RECOMMEND HIM? YOU BET!!!!! He is our Main Man!!!
