I left the Hair Cuttery of Ardmore in TEARS due to EXTREME RACISM towards African Americans. I went in, signed in, sat down and waited for almost an HOUR for a trim. I watched everyone there before me get taken THEN I watched people coming in after me get taken also (ALL OF THEM WHITE.) When I asked one of the stylist what happened she said I got SKIPPED?! HOW does that happen... over and over? I thought skipped was when one person went ahead of you? I was being ignored...theres a HUGE difference. When I said something about being ignored they went and got a black stylist to talk to me?! Im pretty articulate and speak proper english, so why that was necessary I dont know but it was a clear signal that what was happening was RACE MOTIVATED. Not only was I insulted, embarrassed and extremely hurt...I was upset that I had to explain what was going on and why, to my 7 year old daughter. She left the store saying she "didnt like white people anymore" and even after an experience like that with tears in my eyes, I had to tell her that EVERY WHITE person isnt bad or a racist. I wish someone would have told them LL black people dont have nappy, greasy hair....then maybe my ends would be trimmed. They only received one star because I HAD TO, in order to comment. They deserve to be closed down if they can not learn to treat EVERYONE equally, or let it be know that if youre African American you have to REQUEST and African American stylist. The way I was treated today says alot about the caliber of people The Hair Cuttery employs, and something needs to CHANGE. & FYI: Your prices are better than some salons and the service is quicker. Gaining a larger African AMERICANS clientele would noticeably increase your profits, but NOT with that kind of treatment.

I got a horrible cut. She did a dry cut to show me the length (past my shoulders). When she was done it looked like a layered bob. It looks terrible with my face shape and I feel so self conscious. Ive been calling to get my money back but every time I call they say that the manager isnt there and to call later. When I call later the lines are disconnected or they will say the manager is not there. It has been two days already. Now, I have to wait for my hair to grow out and feel uncomfortable throughout the whole process

Avoid this place unless youve seen a haircut by or received a recommendation for a particular stylist. Recently took a family member in as a walk-in--they got CHOPPED. Still recovering--from the buzz they didnt want. Dont just walk in and take anyone they give you. The person didnt listen, didnt ask questions, and then blamed us when we said it was too short. What was the stylist thinking???

Ive been to this hair cuttery multiple times and have had a great experience each time. All employees are welcoming and helpful. My hairdresser in particular, Jaclyn is a talentened amazing hair dresser. She listens to what you say and gives you exactly what you want. Best of all the end result is always great!

This place used to be good. Went here for years but has steeply declined in quality. Find someone you like and stick with them. never do first available because you wont get someone good. Helen or Gina are by far the best and will give you a good haircut.

By far the worst haircut Ive ever gotten. My hair is about three different lengths and my stylist cut off about 4 inches when I asked for a 1 inch trim. Would never go back or recommend.

Good place to get a haircut. I saw 4 different stylists, all did a good job. I have since slected one that I really like. Typically I only have to wait 5 - 15 min for a walk-in.

It is totally the luck of the draw in who you get. Even the quality of one stylist can vary. This is not the place to go unless you know and trust the stylist.
