We were in the market for a newer car again and we continued our relationship with Car Sense in Chester Springs. (this was our 5th Car we purchased for our Family from Chester Springs). We have been happy with everyone we purchased and the staff and process brings us back. We cannot imagine buying a car from the any “other” dealer. It always seems to be just a great experience. Great selection of very clean cars, trucks and SUV’s. No Haggle Pricing Non commissioned Sales people Clean and comfortable, if not casual atmosphere Friendly and Fast service with a personal touch. First: We did some web browsing to help narrow down our selection. The Web page is user friendly to search their inventory. Also like to give credit to the mobile app that we used on the ipad and iPhone. The information was clear and informative. Not only are there many pictures available to get a great look at the particular vehicle, but the support information provided tells a buyer all they need to know to determine if the vehicle is worth the personal visit. Secondly: we popped in, met Anthony on the Lot as he came out to greet us and give us an update on some things (not the typical sales pitch and we did not feel any pressure to buy). We looked 1st at the car we found Web Searching, got the keys, test drove it thru Eagleview Corporate Center, fell in love with it, but decided to test drive more cars for reference (and FUN). Finally: we decided on the car, ran a few numbers and was in and out quickly with a newer car that exceeds are expectations is Price and quality. Too often Reviews of places are negative, people ranting and perhaps helpful for some that are on the fence of using a product of service. We want to spread the good word about our experiences with Car Sense. We have always been happy with ALL the services that Car Sense has to offer. Do yourself a favor the next time you are in the market for a vehicle and visit the showroom (or web pages). We can only imagine that your experience will make you a loyal return customer also.

Jim Farrell is the guy to work with at Car Sense. I wouldnt work with anyone else. He personally turned my experience from a 1 star nightmare to a 4 stars. My initial experience at Car Sense was very disappointing - we were sold a vehicle that had overflow oil dripping from under a body panel, had substantial front bumper damage from their branded plate that required more than just a "quick spray" as the salesman claimed and it had not been detailed inside or out. Both salesmen misrepresented the credit checking/paperwork process and wasted quite a lot of our time. I took the vehicle back the next day, spoke with the sales manager and general manager and expressed my displeasure. The 5 day return policy, meant it was no problem to make a change. Jim Farrell was assigned to work with us and make things right, starting with a loaner vehicle. We selected a suitable replacement car that was more expensive than our original choice; Car Sense does not negotiate pricing and we had to pay more and re-work our financing. Car Sense agreed to provide service credit in the amount of the price difference because of the issues. Once our chosen vehicle was transferred in, Jim did an inspection, arranged for corrective body and mechanical work to be performed and scheduled delivery. He kept us informed about the progress throughout that week. The process of completing the sale with Jim was fast, efficient and transparent. I was so satisfied with my experience with Jim that when I was replacing my personal vehicle 1 month later, I went back and worked with him again. Jim was accommodating, knowledgable and helpful in answering questions about the range of vehicles I was looking at. He set accurate expectations for the timetable for the transaction and handled everything in a professional manner. After my first purchase, I swore I would never go back to Car Sense. After working with Jim, I dont think Ill ever work with another car guy again.

I was disappointed in our experience at Car Sense. The salesman greeted us promptly, and let us know he did not work on commission. This became VERY evident. We needed a car with lots of head room due to having an abnormally tall driver. Not only were we given incorrect suggestions of vehicles, we were discouraged from driving vehicles which actually did end up being fine. It seemed to us he didnt want to waste his time on a Saturday actually showing us the cars. There were a few customers he seemed to be juggling. Might I add we told him we were looking to buy a car within the week! Here was the procedure: 1) Ask for a car to see 2) Wait for the salesman to hand you the keys 3) Go out into the large parking lot area (alone), and beep the keys to find the car. Might I add, they had a generator going that day to power wash cars, so many times you couldnt hear the beeping. Also, there was one time one of the beepers didnt have a battery. There was another time when the car wasnt in the lot! It was EXTREMELY frustrating when you are looking to spend $20,000, that you couldnt even get the salesman to step foot out of the building. It was like a kids game of "seek and find". It was a HUGE waste of our time. The entire process could have been a lot less frustrating, and quicker with some assistance. THANK GOODNESS it wasnt freezing cold out, or I would have been out of there sooner. Maybe that would have been a good thing; We ended up buying a certified car, with a more competitive price, at a Mazda dealer in West Chester. Mazda did something novel... they actually went outside and showed us cars.

I drove an hour to visit Car Sense this evening to look at a 2013 Toyota Tundra I was very intersted in. The experience was great to start. They handed me the keys and told me to take it for a spin. I drove it and stopped in a parking lot to examine it without anyone watching over me. I liked the independence. I returned the vehicle and sat down with the sales rep. I told him I liked the vehicle. He asked me if I was ready to purchase it tonight. I told him I had to think about it and talk it over with my wife. Spending 25K on a vehicle is not something you do with out consulting the whole family. I asked him to give me a number on my trade and let me know what my final number would be. He said he could only do that once I was ready to buy. Does this make any sense? He told me I probably already knew the trade value of my vehicle and they would give me the book value. Well as many know book value has a range of a couple $1000 based on condition. I new roughly what it was worth but I was looking to find out what they would give me for it, so I could make an educated decision. I felt like I was being pressured and was very agitated and just left. The price was great and I understand the no haggle, but I dont understand why nothing was put on paper for me, showing my trade and the taxes and any other fees, so that I could find out how much I would owe. Very disapointed that Car Sense wasted my time this evening. Peter Trimble
