Janusz Golab (RE/MAX CROSSROADS employee) is by far the most unprofessional, rude, pompous, and ultimately a pathetic real estate agent my spouse and I have ever had an interaction with. His work ethic goes hand in hand with his disrespectful personality and overly excessive ego. He was the listing agent for a single-family house we were attempting to recently purchase in PA. It was truly appalling seeing how an individual who doesnt seem to be qualified to sell used cars, was attempting to sell a house. Specifically, Mr. Golab was inexcusably ignorant of PA’s real estate laws & regulations, i.e., time tables for contract and inspection reviews, basic building code violations’ corrections, required forms (addendums, contracts, etc.), to name a few. When asked questions, he would deliberately avoid providing answers by either supplying an insolent reply, answering/stating something off subject, or just completely ignoring them. His replies were often written using very poor English, leaving us wondering if he’s even capable of understanding what was being inquired. This “practice” had continued throughout the entire time we were dealing with him. He frequently utilized profanities, both in e-mails and over the phone, often along with statements obviously aiming to belittle my spouse and me. Mr. Golab constantly utilized ALL CAPS and exclamation marks when replying to e-mails, which if overused is considered a very unprofessional etiquette in business-related communications. When his employer (RE/MAX CROSSROADS, East Stroudsburg, PA) was confronted asking to address some of the more serious matters mentioned above, his broker - Yarrow Wilkins told us that that was how Mr. Golab usually conducts business and theres nothing she was going to do about it because “he sells.” Worst of all, after dropping him as our real estate agent, we found out that he purposefully did not pass information to the seller, who was completely kept in the dark as far as our offers and requests for information were concerned. We’ve prepared this sincere review to warn and to save any potential home buyers from wasting their time, trouble, resources, and stress by avoiding Janusz Golab and his employer. Purchasing a house should not be miserable experience, however, sadly this is all that Mr. Golab is capable of advertently providing.

Buying a home and expect an agent to be honest and timely, do not use Joanne Bachmann. She was recently the buyers agent for a home that I ALMOST purchased. I say almost because the deal fell through- thanks to her. We sent a counter offer to her on 1/30 that she received and submitted to her seller. We heard back on 2/2 with that counter offer- so essentially they agreed to our counter from 1/30. Why did we not receive paperwork? Interesting, but stuck with it. She tells us we should have our signed paperwork on 2/3 or 2/6. If she had been on top of things, we would have signed paperwork on 2/2 and currently we would be inspecting OUR new home. But instead we dont get a response from her for 13 days only to hear back from her on 2/15 that another offer was accepted. I personally contacted her with no reply. I contact the bank only to find out that she did not submit that we agreed TO OUR OWN OFFER (from 1/30) to the bank until 2/6- WITH OTHER OFFERS.

Joanne Bachmann and RE/MAX Crossroads has got to be the worst agent and agency I ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I lost a potential home and about $700 working with this agency because of Joannes lack of interest, poor communication skills, and lack of professionalism; and the agencys broker who was not willing to assist. Read all the reviews....theres a pattern here. There are too many other agencies and hard working agents out there for you to risk working with this one. Do yourself a BIG favor....find a different agency.

Worst experience I had with landlord that works with re-max. She was very disrespectful and the staff that deals with landlord, I personally felt was extremely ignorant. The landlord refuses to give me my security bacignorant. I never had issues with landlords in the past giving me my security back, I mean NEVER!!! Re-max needs to understand who they are conducting business with.

Our experience with leon Walker was by far over the top... he went above and beyond to make sure we got our home. He is professional and just his whole demeanor is by far exceptional. I would recommend Leon to anyone interested in buying a house
