This is our third time with this company. They used to be great. We had less stuff this move than the last and they charged us a ton more money. They still have not refunded the extra ten percent they owe us. They sent three old guys. The only nice one got sick. The other two were rude and grouchy. The third man was useless, he did practically nothing. We tipped them but the only reason is because we felt so sorry for the man who got sick. They were really rough with our boxes and stuff. We had a pretty light load and they got it done in three hours but we had to pay over 800 dollars! The person who emailed me about the refund doesnt seem to give a hoot on whether we get it or not. If I wanted another bad moving experience I couldve used our first moving company and saved a few hundred. Better yet, uhaul and two men wouldve been better. If you use this company, make sure you pack your stuff really, really well. They throw it around like they dont care at all. They bark at you if youre in their way, or if you try to move a box labeled FRAGILE out of the way, they yell at you. They were using the box I packed our computer in to drop the other boxes on. When I moved it so they would quit doing that, the one guy yelled at me. Seriously, I didnt pay 800 dollars to have my stuff tossed around and to be treated rudely. I could get that kind of service a lot cheaper. Luckily, Im an experienced packer so my stuff survived and I had my son in law move my box of fragile collectables, thank God for him, Id have cried had I seen George movers throwing that box around. And I did rescue my husbands computer even though the guy yelled at me. I hope the 57 year old who got sick is okay, and to the other two jerks, get a new job if you hate this one so much! Really bad experience with them. Their customer service has plummeted since 2012. I truly hope I dont have to move again, if I do, I wont use this company again. I cant stress enough how rude two of the crew were. Very disappointed.

An absolute joke of a company.....We contacted North American Van Lines for our move from Pittsburgh to Texas. They subcontracted to George. The packers consisted of two women (no problem), one of whom was 30 weeks pregnant (again, no problem) and left every 30 minutes to go smoke (starting to be a problem). Im willing to look the other way, fine. My family and I fly to Texas and 2 weeks from when they put our stuff on a truck (and WAY past the promised delivery window), we are still sitting on plastic lawn furniture in our house (now a BIG problem). When we call both George and North American Van Lines, they direct us to the other and say "I dont know whats going on with your shipment." Now we are upset. Finally, a customer service agent at North American levels with us and says that George doesnt have the capacity to haul your stuff to Texas and North American should NEVER have used them. Interesting coming from the company we hired. Anyway, we are on week 3 of our move, my son cries that he wants to move back to Pittsburgh (because he at least had a bed there) and we are still fighting with them to find a driver to move our stuff. Im looking into flights to go pick my stuff up myself and drive it to Texas. PLEASE AVOID GEORGE MOVING AND STORAGE and NORTH AMERICAN VAN LINES at ALL COSTS. No family should have to go through what we have.

Guys who delivered bed in hurry. Dripped sweat on all over the cloth of base. Instructions for the operation of bed were "Pay attention Im only going to do this once." He even had a hard time with operation. He didnt put the batteries in the back-up box. If he would have he would have noticed that the battery cover does not close. Wrong cover for this type of battery. They were to install hardware for headboard. Since I didnt have headboard yet he refused to install the hardware and there arent instructions on how to install to the adjustable base. They dropped and left screws from the old bed on the hardwood floor, in the lawn and driveway. The driver was trying to make up for the attitude of the guy who was the offender of this complaint. Repeatedly saying that its been a long day and they still had another pickup at babys R us. Sorry, if you dont like the job, look for another one. Dont make excuses to the customer. This company was sub-contracted by Manna Distribution who delivers for Craftmatic beds. If I had it to do over again, I wouldnt have ordered the bed. Drivers helper made me feel intimidated and at times fearful. I was afraid to say anything for fear that he would damage property or bed. If all workers from this company are like this drivers helper, I dont know how they could stay in business.

The move started off great. They showed up exactly on time. However, this was the end of what I was hoping would be a good experience. The truck they sent I could tell what too small. They didnt bring enough pads so one guy had to leave and go back to HQ to pick up more pads. I was told midway through the move that some of the guys had to leave by 4:00 so theyd have to stop loading and take what was on the truck to the new house. Granted its 5 miles but when youre paying by the hour this adds up. When we got to the new house 3-5 other guys showed up (I lost count) and they hastily unloaded the truck. While unloading the truck they put a huge gouge in my brand new headboard. Their solution.... here’s $57. UNACCEPTABLE. Also, they lost track of screws for the beds, dressers, etc. They were asking me if I knew which screws went where. Isnt that why I hired them? I do not keep a screw inventory. Additionally, as they were rebuilding my brand new bed they managed to put a decent size hole in the base of the wall behind the bed. Exhaust all other options before you hire these guys. Heck, ask the workers themselves. They couldnt wait to tell me how poorly run of a company this is.

We moved in April from Pittsburgh to Charlotte. We were given an estimate of 2700 lbs and a guaranteed price of 1585 USD. The person (Paul) who came for the loading started giving us signals way in advance that the actual weight is much more than 2700 lbs, without giving us any proof of how that assessment was arrived at. We removed lot of our goods and either threw them away or gave them away. When we received the invoice after our move, we found out that the actual weight was just 1300 lbs. It was unbelievable. They fleeced us into sending less than half of what they charged. Also, we suffered additional financial loss as we had to buy may of the thighs which we threw away. When i raised this with the company and asked for partial refund (for capacity not used), i got a classic reply - "guaranteed price means that even if the weight is less you guarantee to pay us the amount. However, if the weight is more you have to pay for additional weight." Can anyone believe this. They are simply fleecing the customers. Over-quote, misinform and overcharge is the modes-operandi. Good luck if you still want to work with them.
