Aging Baby Boomer

The people who run this place (the ones who cover the desk) are awesome. They are dedicated, helpful, kind, friendly...you could not ask for a better group. The facilities themselves are clean, and the desk guys even encouraged me to move to a smaller unit when I no longer needed as much space. (This might seem obvious, but they could have discouraged me.) The building is available from 6 am to 10 pm. I would not mind if one could get in after 10 pm, but hell, I can work within their schedule. It would also help if the internal lights stayed on longer; if you are working in your space and dont go out (which triggers the motion lights), you can suddenly be engulfed in darkness. They also need a few more carts. All in all, Im very satisfied with my experience there. I have used other ESS units, but these guys are the best so far.

Extra Space Storage in Linglestown is the only storage facility in the area that had everything I was looking for. They have 3 floors of interior climate controlled spaces, so there is no worry of flooding. Even though they are located in an area with low theft rates they have top of the line security with special locks and a padlock at every exterior door and even to use the elevator. Steve was the manager and he is super friendly and very informative. He went out of his way to make sure I knew my way around the facility and how to use the lock. The only reason Im giving four stars instead of five is because the payment plan is monthly and the contract doesnt determine in advance when or how much the price could increase. I realize this is only an issue for renting long term and it is common at other facilities in the area as well.

I have just moved an elderly family member across the country (death in the family, more than the average amount of stress involved). We decided to store her belongings at Extra Space so we could manage them slowly. They were just delivered this morning, with one 10-ft high box left in the parking lot, one 9-ft in the hallway, and one 8-ft actually in my rental unit. Steve (the manager) was unbelievably helpful. He loaned me tools, got out the pallet jack as needed, and offered advice, all very cheerfully. My husband said Steve had been very helpful as well when he was renting the unit. If I ever need to do this again, theres no question Im using Extra Space on Linglestown Road. I cant say enough good things.

THE WORSE DONT PAY FOR THEIR INSURANCE My stuff got damaged during Christmas by the time the adjuster and manager came back weeks later, this Single Homeless mom had 2 broken TVs that cracked no mattress hurt my back from sleeping on the floor.. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THEM!! Thinking about suing them I lost so much and my little girl is sick and all they could say was your case is closed we have no proof well of course you dont I followed prodical which was to file a claim, by the time they requested photos water was cleaned up by my friends and The New Years was here. Take pictures and good ones in the event this happens to you.

I have been using Extra Space Storage for years and my interactions with Trey and Steve Wagner have been the kind of interactions you wish you could have with every business you deal with. They are supportive, professional, knowledgeable and beyond helpful in both selecting the best unit for you but also answering any concerns you have. I have never felt the least bit anxious about leaving my household goods there for long periods of times.

"A calming experience after a stressful day" I needed a storage space immediately after the apartment that I was going to rent wasnt ready. Needless to say, when I arrived at the storage facility, I was TIRED, and STRESSED! Then the most amazing thing happened, I met Jasmine! She had an infectious smile, she was very courteous, and knew her job very well. Jasmine totally turned my horrible day around. The Managerial Staff should be proud to have her as an employee! The staff and management at Extra Space storage (both past and present) have been courteous, professional, and helpful. They are very accommodating, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The facility is clean and secure. Management works to provide tenants with a safe place to store their extra belongings or even business supplies. We used the facility for the past 7+ years and they were able to accommodate us in the manner we needed as our needs changed and developed. I believe we were actually in three different units during our time there.

It really helps to lessen the blow when you work with people like the wonderful storage experts at the Linglestown Extra Space Storage. Steve was considerate, helpful, and kind. We had a great experience here. The person that greeted us at the front desk was very friendly and quickly got everything ready before taking us on our way to check out our unit. The facility seemed very nice and there was adequate equipment to use to move our items to the storage area before loading them in. We had everything loaded up and were on our way in no time. I would definitely recommend Extra Space Storage to anyone! Reserving a unit was super easy, they contact you very shortly after reserving (if you do so online), have great prices, and also have the option of climate control units which is hard to find the area! The employee at the desk (Jasmine) who helped me fill out my paperwork was SUPER helpful and kind. The ENTIRE process was super easy and stress free!
