I called around and got the cheapest quote from Landis on a transmission rebuild. They quoted me $1200 but the bill came out to be over $1600. They did the work fairly quick and the problem is now gone, but new problems surfaced. The shifting was notchy going into second and would grind going into first unless I was completely stopped. They use oil in their manual transmission rebuilds and Honda calls for MTF and oil ONLY in emergencies. I drained the oil and put in fresh Honda MTF and the problem has went away. It couldve saved me time and money if they wouldve just used what they were supposed to. Also, the clutch pedal had no feel to it at all. There was some air in the line that needed bled out. They also really mark up the parts they use. $466 for a clutch kit!! I couldve bought one for less than $100. Bearings and seals marked up over 80% in some cases. Charged me for 2.5 quarts of oil when the transmission only takes 1.6 quarts. Why not just charge more for the labor and be honest with your customers?

Beware of this place! Biggest scam artists Ive ever known. Brought a vehicle there, thinking there might have been an issue with the transmission. They kept it overnight so as to inspect it thoroughly, had it up on the lift, and claimed that the entire transmission needed to be replaced. Quoted a MINIMUM of $2,000 but said it could be as much as $2,800. Deciding a second opinion was in order, took the SUV to another transmission shop. The problem was a simple sensor, and it cost $107. This was over a year ago, so theres no doubt that the sensor indeed fixed the problem and that Landis Transmission was attempting to swindle $2,000+ from me.

worst shop out there!!! had this shop put in my transmission ended up taking it back 2 weeks later to get looked at cause something wasnt right. they said it was fine that same day the transmission failed because the did not hook up the transmission line right and know are saying its not their fault the trans failed, when all gears are melted. so I spent 3000 to get my vihical for 2 week. never go to them!!!

I brought my BMW X5 to Landis to service my transmission. I was very pleased with the courtice and complete handling/care of my car. I brought my other cars to Landis with complete confidence that they would do a great job! I talked to a few mechanics that told me, if I have transmission problems, take it to Landis.

I ended up paying double the inspection costs cause I did the repairs that failed inspection my self. 148.68 for inspection is outrageous. I will never be going back to Landis transmission again I wouldnt recommend it to anyone!!!!

Landis Transmission is great. They fixed my car fast and at a very fair price. Its funny to read other reviews and hear people complain but you dont have the whole story....take it with a grain of salt.
