I have been the rented at other places and Public Storage at 2112 W Main St in Norristown might be the worst. First, its hard to get in and out of and there dose not seem to be any order which direction traffic flows in and out of the gates. To clarify, there are two gates when you enter the property straight or right. Naturally most people go straight, circle around the building and exit from that right gate. However, there is no rule that keeps people from entering and exiting from either direction. Why is this a problem? Simple the corridor from which everyone enters the building is very narrow, only enough room for two cars to pass. But that is were everyone has to park before entering the building too, so you get parked cars on both sides of the path and often you cant pass. Also, you have outside units there that often have large truck loading and unloading. Its often a cluster F***. But that is just poor design, the real problem is the condition of the place and the service. If you need a need a cart, you cant pick one up on your way in the entrance. No, you have to backtrack to the office, where they are being kept under guard. Perhaps, some renters have given the staff reason to do this. But that might mean you dont have trust worthy neighbors renting in the same place. In any case, I rented here more than once over the years, until recently, the always seem to just have two of the oldest rustiest old carts. They must have gotten new ones and are guarding them like gold. As for the over all condition of the place, they keep the inside clean, but there was an electrical storm several years ago, and the electric gates, doors, and elevators have been known to have problems. Sometimes, if you have a underground unit or 3rd floor unit, you might not have access to the elevator. Maybe this is rare, but I have encountered this. One time when I was moving, I had to do so in the dark and carry everything through the stairwell. Well, I think I ranted enough. I wrote this review the day I moved out. When I did so, after renting 2 years and 3 rent increases (the most resent of which was substantial) I politely said to the attendant, "I would like to check out of my unit", He asked me for the number, typed at his computer, and asked, "Is the unit unlocked?". I said no and I explained, I guessed we would walk down to the unit together to make sure everything is in order. I will unlock it then." He said nothing, handed my my print out and said, "Someone will check the unit at the end of the day and if anything is in it you will be charged $300." I mention this only because I always get an accusing vibe from from this place. They simply dont care if you stay or go. Why would you trust them? Ive rented here twice, but I will never again.

I rented a storage locker here for temporary storage, and prepaid for each month. In the second month, I showed up with two vehicles full of items and people to help unload them, only to find out the elevators stopped working at this facility. My locker was on the top floor. Public Storage never communicated to anyone about this. It was not repaired for days and I kept having to check back for status. They did not offer me the use of another locker on the ground floor or any other solutions - I had to take my stuff back where it came from and hope I could get a truck and my friends available at a later date when the elevator was functional. Management promised to comp me a full months rent the following month but as the days dragged on without the elevators being repaired (and constantly having to follow up for information) and I had to park my stuff in someones home temporarily I decided to remove what items I already had in storage and take my business elsewhere. We had to move all that stuff down 3 flights of stairs since the elevators were STILL not working. To add insult to injury the supervisor Id spoken to who promised me a free months rent wouldnt even return my phone calls asking for a refund for the days Id not used after I moved out. This company evidently doesnt maintain this property well - kept blaming the elevator company when I suspect it was more like an unwillingness or inability to pay them, because honestly why would it take days and days and days to get it repaired? If one elevator repair company couldnt get it done, why not find another one? And they didnt give a crap whether I had to completely rearrange my and everyone elses schedule to re-line up vehicles and helpers to move on a different, unspecified date. I will never do business with them again nor would I ever recommend anyone waste their time with this company.

I rarely write reviews as I rarely see much worth writing about, honestly. But meeting up with Falon at Public Storage in Norristown, PA, on Main Street is the exception. First: Falon is a pleasure to work with from the beginning of the process to the end. Second: Falon is knowledgeable about Public Storage, its policies, rules and procedures, Third: She handles herself professionally, is very patient and very congenial. The bathroom is spotless, the customer area is bright, well lighted, very well organized with lots of items to make your storage needs easily met. Overall, I give Falon and Public Storage on Main Street in Norristown, PA and triple A plus! I should know, I visited other storage facilities before choosing Public Storage. This Review is unsolicited and I am not getting anything at all for it. Just thought it might be helpful and you might want to know.

Worked for my long-term turned, short-term storage needs. False advertisement at its best! The units are very expensive, especially if you reserve one outside of the city. It was not free at all for the 1st month. In fact, it was just as expensive as an entire month after I paid for the lock, prorated rent, insurance and taxes! Some of the staff seems to be somewhat knowledgeable but not very polite. My personal experience was excellent on the day when I first rented a unit but from then on the staff changed and the 2 new people are not friendly at all. In fact, they always look miserable and as if my business is an inconvenience to them. For this reason, I will be vacating my storage unit on the 1st of the month!

The location of this Storage is excellent, as it is very easy to access, well lit at night and very clean. Falon is superb at what she does and makes you feel at home; she and other staff are the very best in customer service that I have had an opportunity to work with. They are prompt, friendly and highly responsive. They even remembered my name when I showed up at their office a few weeks after I became a customer, a surprise given the large number of customers they deal with daily! I give this Storage my highest recommendation.

I rented a unit today and feel that its excellently well kept and safe facility, the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Ask for Falon she is great in setting you up with the right space. She takes the time to help explain the size of the unit and what it will hold. She was patient while I made up my mind about the size I would need and took the time to show me both sizes so I had a better idea of how things would fit. I would recommend this storage facility to anyone.
