Ive been a member at CrossFit Prime for over 3 years and it has been my best fitness decision! Before joining Prime I did the typical gym routine; would go on the treadmill for an hour then use the machines and call it my workout for the day. Most of the time I left the gym feeling like I did not accomplish anything because I was putting in over an hour of work and seeing little results. After training for my first & probably last marathon (ha) I knew I wanted to try a different type of fitness routine...running was getting old. One day I was flipping through the TV channels and came across the CrossFit Games (the women just looked so fit). After watching the Games I decided to Google CrossFit Gyms in my area and came across CrossFit Prime. When I first walked into Prime I will admit that I was quite intimidated because this type of workout was like nothing Ive ever done before. I was quickly put at ease because the trainers and members at prime were very welcoming. I could not do one pull-up or push-up when I first started at Prime. Today I can say that is no longer the case, I can do multiple pull-ups and push-ups unassisted even handstand push-ups which was something I never thought I could do. The conditioning I have developed has helped me outside of the gym in many ways - one being breaking my best time in the Broad Street Run two years in a row with no specific training beyond that at CrossFit Prime. I am in the best shape that I have ever been in because of training at CrossFit Prime I would recommend this type of training regardless of what your overall fitness goals are. The atmosphere at Prime is awesome because everyone wants the best for each other inside and outside of the gym - this environment is clearly created by the owner Mark DiSalvo and his team of trainers dedication. Ive made lifelong friends at Prime & Im so happy that I came across this gym 3 years ago. Come check it out!

Joining CrossFit Prime was one of the best decisions Ive ever made. Prior to becoming a member, I would go to my local gym a few times a week, but I wasnt seeing the results that I wanted. I would force myself to get up and head to the gym only to do a half-assed workout just to say I went. After about 45 minutes of wandering the gym and playing on my phone, I would cap off my super intense workout with a cheesesteak and fries. I always knew this would never help me reach my goals, so I had to try something fresh and new. It wasnt until a few close friends and I decided to give Prime a shot a few days after Christmas 2016. Its almost been a year since Ive joined and I absolutely love it. The people of Prime are what truly separate it from other boxes and gyms; its really a community. The owners and coaches make sure they provide a non-judgmental, supportive, and most importantly fun atmosphere. Those beliefs and ideals cant help but trickle down to the members and everyone is super friendly, encouraging, and welcoming. The workouts and exercises are always different so it never gets mundane. Its always fun to check wodify in the morning to see whats in store for that day. No matter if youre a competitive person whos always aiming for the fastest time like myself or someone looking to improve their health and simply get a good sweat, Prime is the place for you. Another reason Im such a fan of Prime is because its where I was able to lose more than 50lbs. Not only do the trainers and coaches promote a healthy lifestyle through exercise, but they also provide a nutritional program that will help you improve the quality of life through clean eating practices and healthier, informed choices. The nutritionists at Prime are extremely knowledgable, genuine, and will hold your hand each step of the way as long as you truly want it. There arent enough good things I can say about this place; its literally changed my life.

I tried to write a review for Crossfit prime about a year prior and I just couldnt do it. My words arent going to do my experience here justice. Ill try anyway. Its the least I can do for a gym that has played a major role in improving my life over the past two and half years. I walked into Prime in April 2012, 30 pounds heavier, a washed up average athlete in his late 20s. I just wanted to feel good again about myself. Figured working out was a good place to start. I was intimidated, nervous and had no idea what to expect. All I knew is guys from my 2008 fire academy class have sought this out a year prior. These are guys who I was on an equal playing field with during the academy. Ill put this mildly and say they were beginning to leave me in the dust. They were walking billboards for this place just by their physical changes alone. The nervousness and intimidation I felt was self inflicted. I couldnt have walked into a more caring, loving and positive atmosphere. The best part about Crossfit Prime is youll get out of this place what you put into it. And if youre lacking the motivation to get started or having a bad day. The community and trainers will support you and guide you back on track. Life changing sounds so cliche, but for me, theres no better words to describe my experience with Prime. You would think I get paid to promote this place, which I dont haha. If you get curious enough to check it out, looking for a change, want to be motivated. I would highly recommend it. And honestly I dont have to promote this place. It promotes itself. You wont be disappointed and wont be able to workout again the same. Here I found out what Im truly capable of...whats that? I dont know, and thats because I believe there is no ceiling for anyone if your apart of a gym like this. My only suggestion is to show up, be consistent, learn the movements and get intense later.

If you are reading these reviews you are probably interested in starting CrossFit or are looking for a new gym for a multitude of reasons. I can tell you now, this is the environment you want to be in whether you are starting as a beginner or are an experienced crossfitter. I started at CFP in October of 2012 after moving across the country from Florida, never having been involved in cross fit. My husband and I were looking to change up our gym routine and wanted something more challenging and fun. When I started here we were relatively new to the area and were hoping to meet some people with similar interests. The community environment at this gym is unlike any group I have ever been a part of. Not only did we meet a bunch of people who valued health, being fit & having fun - but made a group of friends who have become our second family. When I started my flexibility was not great, I had never done “Olympic lifts” or even a single legitimate pull-up. The trainers were beyond helpful and patient with teaching the movements, whether it was the basics of a squat, or a more technical lift in both group & one on one settings. I was surrounded by a great group of people who motivated me to want to get stronger and better. After 2 years, I have learned SO much and have participated in the open since my first year being involved as well as competed in a handful of local team competitions. We work hard but also have a blast doing it. It has been an incredible experience becoming a part of the CFP community. I’m simply a member here who is writing this because I hope that other people can have the awesome experience I did. Whether you are a morning person or an after work person there are amazing people to meet, train & push yourself with!
