The cast iron main drain pipe in my basement was so clogged and backed up that it was slowly forming cracks. Water was coming out of the pipe at a rapid pace during a heaving rain storm. My basement was getting flooded badly and my possessions were at risk. Unfortunately, Precision Plus was not my first call, I had another guy come out and replace a heavily cracked section of the pipe for a lot of money. He did not address the blockage that caused my issues to begin with! During the next storm a week later I was still flooding from new cracks in the old pipe! I called back the original guy to let him know and he wanted thousands of dolloars to dig up my basement floor and replace the whole main drain out the curb. This is when I decided to get another opinion and use someone that knows how to snake a pipe as well as general plumbing. Derrick from Precision came out and replaced the rest of this bad pipe AND snaked out the under the floor portion of this pipe to remove the blockage. He also discovered a floor trap in the basement that could have been causing some of the flooding that the first guy completely missed! During the repair we joked around with each other about different things and this took my mind off of my troubles for a little. My only one minor complaint is that the emergency service fee ($85) was not included in the total price for the costly job. I feel that if the job ends up costing a certain amount or more (maybe $1000+) he should waive the service fee. When we talked about how much the job was going to cost me he didnt bring up the service fee so I had a total in my head, but when he wrote out the final invoice after the job it was on there. I expressed to Derrick that he should waive the fee for bigger jobs (like mine) or at least remember to include it when going over the total estimate. He said he would considered it for the future. All in all, the next time I have a plumbing issue, I am calling Precision Plus!

What a scam We had a plumber come out last week to check on a clog in the drain. After inspecting the basement for 2 minutes he came back to tell me that he could not get to the access point on the main drain and would need to cut the pipe to then clean the drain. I challenged his assumption that he couldnt get to the pipe because we had that pipe replaced less than a year ago and I knew the access point was accessible but he insisted. He then gave me a quote of $1,205 for the "gold" fix and $773 for the "silver" fix. I mean come on! What ever happened to just fixing the issue for an appropriate cost. It was then that I paid the $60 to show up (which I knew about and expected) and told him I would get additional quotes and call if I need them. A few days later we had ABLE Plumbers come out (for free) and check the plumbing. Lo and behold he easily opened the access point on the main drain and quickly realized the issue was a clog that was out in the street. After snaking the drain outside we were FIXED. And the best part, it only cost us $160. So here is my issue. I called Precision Plus and told them I felt like I was scammed. I felt like that particular plumber didnt event try to access the drain because if he did he would have realized the issue. If he did, the problem would have been an easy fix and they wouldnt have made $1,200+ on me. If he did, they would have gotten my business and I would be a continuous customer. But not only did he not try to actually fix the problem, but he quoted me an outrageous number for the "gold" fix and when I called to express my concern I was practically ignored. I asked for my $60 and they refused. What happened to the customer is always right? In this day and age where reviews and word-of-mouth are priceless I would have expected more. Moving forward, I will warn everyone I know to not use Precision Plus. This is unacceptable.

Its taken me 5 years to comment on the workmanship of the owner of Precision Plus Plumbing. The card you recently mailed to my home w/my daughters name misspelled is not the half of it. Maybe because it was a very warm spring day (5/30/2008) i had Air Conditioning or because Derrick was distracted by the school girls coming home, going out to the truck getting supplies to botch the job. Couldnt concentrate on whats in the truck for staring @ whats behind him, Junior High girls. This is saw out my window, he parked right beside my home. Derrick installed a (new tub/drain assembly & LAP trap)... Problem was the trap was assembled BACKWARDS & my tub continued to fill w/water during showers. We paid $877.00 for this Precision Plus botched workmanship until i called my nephew (who informed me of the trap problem that he corrected) ...@ this point i didnt want P.P. in my home again. My nephew also found a broken snake in my drain, seriously didnt expect that... i did call & complain unfortunately to the answering service & Derrick did respond to my call. I told him dont bother & this was after all was paid & done. In my opinion your workmanship was Poor & thats that.

I had almost the exact experience as Alicia Moore wrote about below. I paid $60 for an estimate to fix a leaking shower tub faucet, which lasted about 90 seconds. The plumber told me this was "some cheap faucet from China" and he would never be able to fix it. Instead, he would have to cut open the entire tub and put in a new faucet system for the tub, which would require him drilling into the wall from the adjacent room. When he left, we looked at the faucet ourselves and saw that the brand was Pfister, very common and well-know company. We found the exact part we needed on Home Depots website for $23. This was a total scam, and I would NOT recommend or trust anything a plumber tells me from this company.

Derrick was incredibly unprofessional and not helpful. We explained our plumbing situation and Derrick asked us what we wanted him to do. I am sorry, but we called a plumber because we did not know what to do and needed someone to tell us our options! His first two options were $1700 and $1300 to fix a valve on a shower. Finally we were able to get a $700 option out of him but this was after a lot of attitude on his part and us asking specifically how much simply replacing the valve would cost. Why was this option never presented in the original presentation of options? I felt scammed by this company and frustrated by the attitude. I would never call this company again.

Im a guy that believes in the importance of the "relationship" aspect of my business experiences. I had a gas leak in my home and Derrick arrived on time as scheduled. His demeanor was knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly I felt like I could TRUST his skill and his word. I think he saw the concern for my familys well- being and a safety. He diagnosed the problem, made sure my home was free of gases AND TOLD ME HOW TO REPAIR THE ISSUE MYSELF!! WHO DOES THAT?!?! Derrick is the truth! I am thoroughly impressed with this gentleman and the services that he provides! Bravo! Rare breed of businessman!
