DO NOT HIRE ANYONE BUT COOPER. VALUE VALUE VALUE! Use my research and experience to help you: Let me start my saying that your system is only as good as the install job. A Goodman Unit installed right is better, cheaper to run, cheaper to buy, and more efficient than a Trane not installed well. I knew I needed a good installer...One who will get the ductwork neat, clean, and tight. Brand is secondary. I just purchased this (large, upscale) house in June and the upstairs AC was not cooling the house. It ran all day, didnt cool, and my electric bill was $642 for the first month here. So first I called a different |HVAC company. They did a $99 diagnostic and said the system was charged with coolant and fine, just old. Yet another week of a heat wave went by and no relief with it running all week. So I decided to get estimates from three reputable companies. One was a Trane providing company. Another was Lowes, and the other was Cooper, who my next door neighbor recommended. I gathered from the three estimators that my old upstairs system was leaking, rotted, and the duct work was decomposing and full of gaps. They showed me leaks, stained wood, and gaps. The $99 diagnostic local company was wrong saying the system was fine! Cooper was the ONLY company that wanted to replace ALL of the ductwork. The other two were going to only replace some and if I was lucky tape over the holes. I got all new ductwork with a new, higher R value, and two Carrier systems installed for less than my other estimates. They are the only company to include a whole house air filter for each system (April Aire). I heard them working, they ran into problems where they found other issues and I heard the guys talking and they called the shop to have more sheet metal delivered and took care of any problems they found. This is while they were up in a 120 degree attic covered in sweat and could have rushed to get out of there. They started the job by running carpet protector up the stairs and along the carpeted work path and drop cloths on the hardwood. The job was done really neatly and I have attached photos. PS I have never taken all this time to write a long review like this.

I had Cooper Mechanical out to fix a small plumbing issue at my house. The technician (nice guy) while disassembling my faucet inadvertently broke an unrelated piece. He then tried to rig it back together (and swore he was successful). After he left I noticed that he was NOT successful and in fact there was a separate issue. (I understand accidents happen). The real issue arose when I called their service department and spoke to the "service coordinator". I explained the situation to him (which he had already been apprised of). He refused to replace the piece (that their tech broke) and informed me I had a crappy faucet and it was basically my problem. When I questioned about paying for the service call he became EXTREMELY agitated and unprofessional. So basically they came in, broke my faucet (which is not what they were there to fix) and asked me to pay for it. For those of you who actually read these reviews and pay attention I would NOT recommend Cooper Mechanical. On a side note this is the third time I have had Cooper Mechanical out to my house. The first time for an emergency service call. They were there in a little over an hour and fixed the clog. The second time to fix another faucet. The technician couldnt fix it and of course billed me for work not performed and the third time....see above

Myself who is in the Service Business was shocked that a company like Cooper Mechanical employees are so under trained , there technician who i am sure is a hard working employee could not answer non of my questions related to repairing my HVAC , he first informed me the outside unit was frozen ok great but when i asked him the source of the problem he had no answer , my next question was how much would it cost me to repair it his responses was we are a flat rate company sorry that is not the answer i want , just give me a upfront price so i know what i am getting myself into , now keep in mind this is all in a 10 min period so my last question was when will someone get back to me to repair my issue , he informed me someone in his office would call me which never happened and this is the nail in the coffin on his way out the door he informed me there was a 89.00 dollar diagnostic fee , which i have no problem with if one of Cooper Mechanical under trained employees informed me about a fee when i scheduled my appointment , after the technician pulled away i called another HVAC company who within 15 min diagnosis the problem as a leak in the outside hose .

What a great group of people. The front office always answered my calls, messages were always returned, the price was fair and the work was stellar. When there were issues they addressed them immediately, and the techs were polite, creative, flexible and worked hard to fit a complete HVAC system and all new plumbing into a VERY small house with little room for maneuverability. One of the things that made a huge impression on me was when the techs had to return to move the condenser unit after a misunderstanding--only to find that the electrical wiring was not complete--not only did they patiently wait for the electrician, they spent their free time CLEANING THEIR TRUCK. To me that speaks to a work culture of responsibility, respect and excellence.

Called on Thursday to the emergency service and told the guy my issue. Next day they sent out a sales guy that tried to sell me a propane boiler for $9000 or replace my existing boiler for $8000. I asked him how much they get the boiler for to which he replied $1500. I responded so your charging me $6500 for labor? I told him at 140 hours that will take you 46 hours and then asked him to justify that. He said the price is the price. I said get out. I called another plumber a friend referred. 3 hours later and $525 he fixed a ton of parts on my heater which I knew I needed and told me I should be good to go for a long time as the boiler looks clean. You do the math.

Lou Cimorelli: Just want to let folks know how professional this company is. I called them with an issue we were having with severe, decreased water pressure - Dan in Service, over the phone, correctly diagnosed our problem after a short discussion (bad well pump). He could have sent his guys out, costing us a service call. He told me exactly what needed to be done, made the right referral (Raab Well Drilling in Perkasie, PA), and the issue was completely fixed within 3 hours! I will now be reaching out to Cooper with ANY internal plumbing issues that I have in our home. Ive also heard nothing but great things about this company too! Many thanks!

This is definitely one of those companies where you pay a little more and get a lot more. Their technicians are smart, efficient and prompt, their work is impeccable. They show up when promised and clearly take pride in a job well done. No, they are not "cheap" compared to other companies, but Ive NEVER had a callback to fix any work they did. They have never left a mess, damaged anything or failed to show up when promised. They have the tools and supplies they need to get the job done the first time. In short, worth every penny.
