I called Ritten House and Sons to come out and install a kitchen faucet on 04/23/2014. The lady over the phone that I spoke to put me on hold and called Mike to ask how much the cost would be, she told me that it would be $125. When they arrived, they installed the faucet and I was charged $140 dollars instead of the $125 that I was told. Shortly after them leaving I inspected the work again and saw that there was a leak. I quickly called Mike back and told him what was happening and he turned around and came back. After he inspected the site he determined that the faucet itself had the leak and there was nothing he could do. I was disappointed, since this was a new faucet I had just purchased, and I just paid Mike $140 and was left without a faucet or running water. I called my Dad, and a friend and they came over to check it out. All we needed to do was tighten the copper lines that came directly from the faucet with an Allen wrench, connected everything back up and there was no more leak. I was very upset that Mike did not take the initiative to do this himself. I called Mike and told him that I planned to stop payment on the check since we were able to fix the problem ourselves. He said he needed to come and inspect the work, but never did and decided to Harass me by text messages that he will be taking me to collections for this. I offered him to come and inspect it for himself and see that there was in fact no more leak, but he refused. He said he had 30+ years of experience, and there was no way that faucet was not leaking. he called me a liar and claimed that he was a board member for the township and would take this matter to court. I was very angry and surprised that he still felt entitled to the money, even though we had to fix the problem ourselves. I recommend EVERYONE to stay away from this man and "Ritten House & Sons" contractor. I had the worse experience with this guy. Not to mention that he left a half lit cigarette on the ledge next to my front door, which my 2 year old daughter started playing with when she saw it. Horrible Experience and Customer Service. BEWARE!

Jeff, Mike and "the Crew" did a complex sewer pump job at My home in Quakertown. They did a cost effective job in a timely manner. The clean up afterward was very good and pleased My Fussy Wife. They picked up the pieces after another plumbler ran out of options. I am sick of fake BS reviews. This is a true review from a customer 18 months after the job was completed.

Mike and Jeff did a big tough job at my home. They cleaned up the mess the less expierence plumber left! The price was fair. They stuck to the original estimate and the clean up was satisfactory. I highly recommend Rittenhouse and Son.
