These folks are / this company (McArdle Home Services) is terrific. Last week, based on an Angie’s List recommendation, I had bought a 4-hour block of electrical work. I needed McArdle to do what I erroneously had thought was a relatively simple task – putting in a light fixture and a switch / outlet. Trying to make a long story as short as possible, my wife & I live in a 100-year old (or so) house. Last winter, my son-in-law and I had remodeled a pantry room (old mud room). It had a working, but obsolete fixture. About a month ago, my son & I tried to put in the new fixture and learned that there no longer was any power. Eventually, I realized it was time to have a certified electrician check things out. As it turned out, it took more than 4 hours to figure out and solve the problem. To my surprise and dismay, a small part of our wiring is knob & tube. That had to be dealt with, plus some drilling through a solid brick wall. Cory (McArdle) and his associate were everything I could hope for: prompt, personable, knowledgeable, efficient, and communicative. McArdle took longer than what I had paid for, but charged me not a penny more. The company does much more than electrical work, so I intend to use them for many projects that I can’t do myself. Stay away from this group. They are a scam. Called them about a gas leak in my basement. They sent someone out who came in with soap water and sprayed our pipes. He didnt see any bubbling so they charged me $75 (copay i had to pay with my insiruance company) and left. I called the gas company, they came out immediately with a machine that detects gas and it was going off all over my basement. I called the owner of McArdle Home services to come back out, set a date for them to come then he cancled on me. I called back for 2 weeks straight, left messages and they never called me back. I went with another company, Regal Plumbing and Heating. They came out the same day and fixed our gas leak (they also had a device for detecting gas unlike McArdle). Dont go with these guys. They are either a scam or just plain unprofessional.

Our experience with McArdle Homes Services was outstanding. I am severely disabled and my Mother is quite elderly, as such there are certain tasks around the house which we cannot do on our own/ We were able to contact McArdle Home Services through Angies List Cory MrArdle himself came to our home, and in less than an hour we were taken care of. I cannot thank him enough for all that he did. Should we need any further assistance in the future, I absolutely will not hesitate to call McArdle Homes Services. I can recommend them to others without any hesitation at all.
