I have waited FAR too long to write this review …. Let’s start from the top!! I rented a storage unit when the property was owned/managed by Uhaul. Under their management, the price was reasonable despite the overall grimy/dingy-appearance of the storage facility. (FYI The bright, clean lovely pictures that you see on their website are mostly representative of the entry level floor…) However, the property was acquired by Compass Self Storage … it was at this point that my relationship with this property began to decline and resulted in my having to move the contents of my unit to another storage facility. 1.) Notification of New Ownership: As I had faithfully paid my bill via autopay, I was initially unaware that the property had changed from Uhaul to Compass Self Storage. That is, until I learned that my unit was scheduled for auction during a call in December 2014. I asked them what happened to my autopay. Their response? When Compass acquired the facility they were not given all of the billing/customer information by Uhaul and were therefore unable to schedule my unit for payment. After TOO-MUCH conversation they acted as if they were doing me a favor by crediting me all of the late charges that were assessed due to THEIR ineptitude. 2.) Billing: I spoke with Mike to determine what my bill would be moving forward. Mike calculated the amount, and from there I scheduled recurring payments through my bank (I did NOT trust them with my account information!!). Again, about a month later… i’m back on the phone with Mike because my payment was late. I retrieved the notes from my prior conversation, to review them with Mike. Mike who initially seemed confused by his OWN words eventually double checked the ledger and figured out the bill … HE actually made an honest error when he quoted me my payment amount. However, he never admitted and apologized for his error ... thankfully, he helped me get credits for my late fees. #guilty 3.) Rent increases: The rent increases are just straight ridiculous! My records indicate (Uhaul): $119/month, (Compass 4/14)$131, (Compass 10/14) $140, (Compass 12/14) $153. 4.) They maximize late fees/charges: Compass claims that it does not process partial payments although they will deposit your checks WITHOUT applying it to the balance of your account so that they can asses late fees. As far as I am concerned cashing checks = accepting payment. Confused? email me and i’ll tell you about it: ooogreatone(at)yahoo(dot)com 5.) Online Billing/Online-Payment/E-Billing: Their e-billing is woefully inadequate. It doesn’t list all of the information about prior balances/payments/balances-carried-forward. Likewise the exact amount of each payment made, is not directly reflected in their online ledger. Very very very confusing…. 6.) Phone calls/Correspondence: Mike and Dino either do not return phone calls or they dont respond with any type of urgency.... 7.) Move out (Filth): The storage facility (2nd floor at least) is GRIMY…. if anything TOUCHES the floor it is immediately covered in black dirt 8.) Move out (Safety): I noticed a gentlemen who repeatedly came in to use the bathroom while i was moving out. This same gentleman chastised me for locking the bathroom door. He complained that I hadn’t read the sign on the door and that the door shouldn’t be locked while occupied … excuse me? … a woman … SHOULDN’T lock the door while using a public restroom?? To be clear! I have no intention of learning the quirks of your weird locks!!! How the management has not recognized that counter-intuitive door locks presents a safety and liability issue is beyond me… Please install the correct bathroom door locks!!! Bottom line, dont move your things here... I dont think that the workers are dumb... but every time ive had to deal with them, I have found that they are profoundly inadequate, unprofessional, lackadaisical and lazy.

I have been so busy I havent had a chance to get on here and boast about agent Dino R! He went above and beyond in helping me find what I needed in a storage unit! He was very patient with me! He answered all of my questions! He also stayed a bit later after his scheduled shift to make some adjustments for me including a swap to a larger unit! A-plus customer service! He is definitely an asset to have within a company! I give him 5 stars! *****!!! For prices however, The unit facility could be updated a bit, and the loading dock needs A lot of attention, I got my shoe stuck under the metal with my hands full which almost resulted in a nasty fall and a wound had I not been able to get my foot free in time before my fall, there was a bolt missing along the dock edge which made the dock warp upwards! But other than that, thank you Dino!

Bullshit im payed up to Oct 29 moving out Nov 4 2016 got my apt keys Oct 26 been calling the manger Dino ever since to ask a few questions No Response or Call Back finally got a hold of someone she tells me my payment is due ok fine plz tell Dino to Call me again No Call Back I go to the storage place and Dino was there I said I been calling you the past 2 weeks and I spoke to a worker and she informed me my payment is due for October 29 to Nov 29 ok im moving out Nov 4 WHY THE HELL THEY CHARGED ME 168..00 FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER AND IM NOT GONNA BE THERE SO IM KEEPING MY STUFF THERE RILL NOV 28 I PAYED FOR THE MONTH SO PISSED I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN... have no problem paying for the 5/6 days Im over but a whole month BULLSHIT

very bad, bad environment and service, I paid two month rent and just used half a month, they permit to charge me back of one month fee but no deal during 3 month, every week I call and email to ask, there is no answer. I went to the accept desk and they always say "wait". Cant Believe a company who give permit then do nothing. Its a cheat, will never go them again!!

Received a storage unit earlier this morning. Both of the managers were very personable and explained everything to me in detail. After completing the paperwork I was shown my storage unit and the manager in training even help me with the dresser when he saw me having issues. Great place to get a storage unit and both managers deserve a raise.

The Manager answered all my questions, and he was very pleasant towards me. We can use some cookies when the publlic visits your facility, just kidding. Only thing wrong was the wait for somone to take my rental, but other than that it was very pleasant. Dino Ruggiro was very pleasant and made me and my friend feel at ease.

I just stopped in for a few boxes, and let me tell you the service that was given to me just for boxes was out standing. Very friendly people that work there as well. Dont see that to often these days.

James was a big help. He was thorough, effecient and also helped me get a unit that was nearest the loading dock door. Storage is indoors, climate controlled and reasonably priced.
