Update: ***I took it to another shop instead and theyre fixing it for half what we were quoted at New England Tire with fewer things "wrong." Save your money.*** I would give them no stars if I could. New England Tire was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I thought, "great, must be a mechanic I can trust!" I was wrong. The first time I took my car there, I needed an oil change and to replace a blown tire. They did fix it, but the price did not match what I was quoted on the phone and they had done unauthorized work on the vehicle. A few months passed and it came time for state inspection. I thought Id give them another chance because my friend likes them and theyre close by. I told them that the check engine light was on so it would fail inspection and I needed to know why. They called to get authorization for work with $1350 worth of mostly minor repairs that had to be done and they couldnt inspect it today because it wouldnt pass until the repairs are done and I take it through a drive cycle. Frankly, my fiancé and I dont believe them and we plan to take the car elsewhere for a second opinion. However, when I called right back to tell them that we did NOT authorize the work, they said they had already done the oil change, so we would owe them for that, the diagnostic, and the state inspection. I refused to pay for a failed inspection, since I told them myself it would fail. When I said that this was the second experience Id had with them where I felt they were being shady, the man (Anthony, I think) became very aggressive on the phone and told me he was offended because hed never been called that in his life. He actually argued with me about it instead of in any way hearing my concerns and working to rectify them...even when the conversation escalated to the point that I told him I would not be bringing my car back there again. He didnt even go as far as to say, "Im sorry you feel that way, but heres why I think weve been honest with you." Instead, he was so aggressive and rude that I was actually shaking when I got off the phone. They have twice been shady with me in their dealings now, and showed an utter lack of respect and customer service when I voiced my concerns. So much for "the customer is always right." Theyve lost any chances at my money. I wont be going back.

Extremely rude and unprofessional when I came to get a state inspection. As i am from the state of Florida, my vehicle has window tint. Per the statutes available to see online, a tinted vehicle could possibly be permitted if it is at 70%, but apparently inspectors, as the DMV director clarified, are taught to deny any car with non factory. Rather than calmly and professionally explain this, the customer service representative, an older white man, chose to simply repeat that my vehicle did not pass inspection and failed to address my concerns. The mechanic proved even ruder on the matter, at one point insinuating I would face a fine by saying the state would "fail me even worse" and then sarcastically told me I should register the vehicle again in Florida. I felt as though I were being insulted and attacked purely because I did not understand and had received conflicting information. They refused to test the windows for the actual percentage, which seems strange considering this is an auto shop authorized to do inspections. They also attempted to upsell me on a brake pad change for almost $300, and yet told me they werent able to remove this horrific tint from my car. I am unsure how certified mechanics arent able to do this repair. The brake pads were replaced for substantially less at another shop. I will not be returning to this auto shop, and I will be actively dissuading others from seeking assistance here. I do not think this is how a customer or a new resident to New England should be spoken to.

My daughter had purchased a Groupon special they were running for three oil changes. After I told her to make sure to use or upgrade to a synthetic blend (dealer recommended) which makes sense being a late model vehicle, she was told that it wasnt needed and just needed to change her oil more frequently. Two oil changes into the three and she has oil pressure issues. The oil was like water when it was drained by my regular mechanic. Being the optimist I try to be, I called them to review the problem with the manager. He immediately took a very aggressive approach to my call. The car calls for a 5w40 weight being a turbo, but he said it calls for the standard 5w30. Kept insisting that no one would have denied her the option to pay for a synthetic oil change and that Passats for sludge motors. Repeatedly kept interrupting me and not letting me speak and finally said; “Well, we’re busy here and I have phones ringing off the hook”. Wow, really Mr. Customer Service? Yeah and Im dealing with a potential blown motor here!! Mistakes happen and I was perfectly willing to discuss the problem or have them look at it again. No problem, never again.....Spite its age, weve had no problems with this vehicle in the past and its always been well maintained. So I guess its onto their corporate office in Attleboro and small claims if needed!

Ive gone to the Warwick Ave location for both "Oil Change and Tire Rotation" with Groupon and a front end alignment. In all instances, they put a hard sell to try and get me to spend $500 for new tires. They did not do the tire rotation as they were supposed to do with the groupon. I did get a good price on the alignment, but they refused to offer any warranty on the service because they said I needed new tires. So, if you have brand new tires that they cant bother you about, might be worth visiting, but Im not a fan of their business practice.

I recently bought a car! It had all the records of work done to it! Exactly 10,000 miles ago, N.E.tire billed the previous owner for brake pads and rotors! The pads looked ok! 3/4 left, but the rotors were shot. I also noticed after charging for materials! Brake fluid, power steering fluid... They added a shop material charge!!! Witch was a bit high! Its now my mission to put you out of thievery! I have heard nothing good about you! You Will change or pay the price! Good luck! A very good friend of Chanel 10! Doug.

In my first time going to New England Tire Car, I needed an oil, lube, and filter. They seemed to have some of the lowest rates around. I ended up having to pay more because I had previously had synthetic (not their fault), and they called me to tell me that I had two bald tires. I appreciated their recommendation as they helped me not overspend on new tires and they saved me from something that could have happened this upcoming winter. I know Ill be going back in the future!

I have been going to New England Tire for several years and with different cars. I have always received great service. They have been very fair and honest, and many times have been able to help me out with very little notice. I know I can rely on them and will continue to do business with them.
