I took in a picture that was very "do" able for the length of my hair at the time and made sure that the girl Joy that was cutting my hair was absoultely in touch with what I had requested. However, when all was said and done, I also left with a very dated and "southern girl fluffy" do that just did not suit me. I know that she could tell that I did not like the color, or the cut, neither one were anything close to what Id asked for. However, Id hoped that in different lighting and once I had played around with it for a while. I wound up looking like a skunk with very small streaks. To top it all off - she cut off more than what I had told her was okay, I was very specific that I did not want much hair cut off at all. My hair was in shorter layers than I wanted, and I felt like I had gained at least 10 years in my looks. As she was styling my hair, she commented on the condition of it, and as she brushed and blow dried it, I noticed that there were small strands that were breaking off and flying in front of my face. Even if my hair was damaged, she did not have to be that harsh with it. Or, she could have done what any responsible and honest hairdresser would do, and simply tell me that my hair was not in strong enough condition for the color at that time. I would rather have just left and appreciated her honesty. I called the salon and spoke to the manager, that of course wouldnt take any credit for the bad hair. She said that they all rented out their booths, and then tried to justify why my hair turned out as it did. I found myself having to tell her that it was up to the stylist to tell me if it was going to damage my hair that badly, she still didnt give me the cut or the style that I wanted, cutting it way too short and in a completely different style, and the color wasnt anything close either. She told me that she would gladly pass on the information to this woman that serviced me - and she would get back to me. But, she never did. I think that the only way things could be right is if she just refunded my money. Its been almost a month now, and I still cant do anything with my hair, but its too short and not in good enough condition to do anything with right now.

I have been going to see Brook Johnson here for over 10 years now ,, cant believe how time flies. I LOVVEEEE her and I Love this salon. Everyone here are professionals as well as being very sweet. I love the atmosphere when I go too. The place is so cute and although I havent seen anyone but Brook in all that time (im very picky) I have heard through other friends that come here as well that their girls are awesome too. Thanks so much Brook and Carolina Hair for just being there! Ill see you soon!

the cutting at this salon is good. however, the experience I had will not be repeated at this place of business. the hairdresser glanced at the chosen photo of the desired hair cut and did not fulfill what she was paid to do. the haircut received resembled what i wanted in the least of ways. the styling this salon chooses is one of an over done out seasoned look. but, if you you enjoy the southern big hair out season look you are well on your way with this hair salon.
