I went to this salon about a month ago and did not have a good experience from the start. I told the stylist I wanted my hair a few shades lighter for summer. I showed her a picture on my phone with the color I wanted. She proceeded to make a face and told me that I would look old. She then brought other stylists over to me and continued to say "Dont you think she would look old if I colored her hair this light?" They all agreed. She was very pushy about only coloring my roots to match the rest of my hair color, which was blonde, but a few shades darker than what I wanted. I regretfully gave in. My roots turned out a VERY brassy reddish/orange color! She kept saying "Oh, it looks so natural!" but it obviously did not. Also- because they were in the running with other Fantastic Sams salons to see who could get the most eye brow waxing (I knew this because I overheard her conversation), she nonchalantly said "Do you need an eyebrow waxing today? I think you do.. at least a clean up." Usually I would not be offended by this, because my eyebrows usually do need waxing, but because I JUST did them the night before, I KNEW they did not need to be cleaned up. She kept saying there were strays and so again- I regretfully said okay why not.. Ill help out their salon. Well, that was a big mistake too because when she was done, I barely had any eyebrows left! They were very thin and now they will not grow back. :( I am very disappointed in this salon and wish I never went there just to save money! They totally disregard what you want done and push for what they want to do!

I felt compelled to write this review because I think Jo (I apologize if this not your name and I just misheard it!) deserves it for going above and beyond. I went here around 5 PM on a Saturday, an hour before they close at 6 PM. Im extremely impulsive, so I almost never schedule an appointment for haircuts. A friend was coming in from out of town the next day and was running errands to prepare for it. I figured, well, its late, but might as well see if they can fit me in. I walk in and the two hair dressers have clients. There are three guys waiting, one with a small child. Jo tells me shell be right with me. She finishes with her one client and next is the man with the child. I figured, "Well, no chance this is gonna happen and walk out." I get about 200 feet away before I hear, "Hey wait, Ill cut your hair!" Jo apologizes profusely (even though I explained I understood it was busy and close to closing time) for not acknowledging me further (truthfully, I was kind of hidden in the waiting room). She tells me to come back at 6 (when theyre supposed to close) and shell definitely cut my hair. Im impressed that she would go out of her way like this for a customer. I come back at 6 for my cut. Im extremely pleased with how it turned out. I got a hair cut, wash, and a beard trim for a very reasonable price. I really enjoyed talking to Jo as well. After living in LA for six years and struggling to find a great, reliable hair dresser upon moving back, I may have found the right one!

Dont go here. They seem to have their own agenda and disregard their clients wishes. Ive been growing my hair all my life and I asked to take 2 inches off the length and they took off 9 inches. Its up to my shoulders and I have no idea how to even style it now. My fiance loved my long hair and Im supposed to be getting married in a couple of years. In addition to completely disregarding what I had asked for, I discovered, upon coming home, that I still had dye on my face and neck, the framing around my face wasnt even, and my roots in the back were untouched. My sister is very talented a hair stylist in LA with a lot of clients and she would never allow this to happen. I wish I could give this place zero stars.

Just went here for the first time and was greeted very politely upon entering, told it would be 15 min Because the other stylist was on lunch, but she kindly appeared from the back and had no problem taking me right away. The stylist listened to my wishes and talked to me along the way, asking what I thought and if I wanted to go shorter. She ended by asking if I wanted a wash and shampoo as it was included in the price and graciously accommodated everything for me. The location itself is very nice and appeared to be well maintained. I will be making this my new haircut location!

Thus salon is too unpredictable, Ive been going there for a few years and for the past few times my haircuts have not been good. Now u need to go for a cut and Im nervous about it. Its a shame, this store is in my neighborhood!

At this salon, its awesome that customer service and satisfaction is their number one priority. I never have to wait long for a great hair cut. They take the time to listen to how I want my hair cut. The place is easy to find!

In May 2016 Fantastic Sams opened at this location and they are FANTASTIC!! I highly recommend visiting this salon for a great experience.
