This salon hires staff that claims to know what theyre doing with hair when in reality, the staff is no better than a beginning student. My wife went there today to get her dark brown hair taken to black with red highlights. After 3hours, I came back to pick her up as she was getting the final blow dry. When I walked in, I saw patches of her hair that were not dyed (just bleached bright orange and blonde hair). The stylist (Cassie) told me that she had already done some patch work on sections where the color didnt take. She and another stylist then told me that they warned my wife that sometimes color doesnt stick to hair and that the blame should be on my wife for still wanting to go ahead with the color. I am a bald man, so I dont have recent experience with hair color, but at one time I did. I have had dark black hair my entire life, and at a few points, I dyed parts a bright red color as an accent. Not only was a less than a novice, but I achieved my goal in very little time with minimal hair damage and results that lasted for months without follow up. Instead of taking the blame as a uneducated stylist, the company chose to place the blame on my wife and her decision. Cassie then proceeded to get loud with me like I was a bad guy for saying that there were blank spots thatstill needed color. I said I was going to leave to avoid furthering the escalation of the argument and she made snide remarks after as to get the last word. I would never reccomend this business or staff to anyone. I am a business owner myself and I know that treating a customer the way I was treated by Rootz, would result in an almost instantly failing business. Save yourself the stress and and heartache and stay far away from this business!

Casi is awesome! Best stylist on the Grand Strand. I literally go in and ask her to fix my hair and I walk out feeling like a million bucks! Every time!! I saw a one-star review on here from a husband regarding his wifes hair. Not sure if he was talking about my Casi, but I would think if his wife had such a terrible experience, she would have posted the review herself. Sounds like someone is just being a jerk. Casi has done just about every color and treatment on my mess I call hair since I started coming to her years ago. Shes always got a great attitude and she is THE BEST at her craft.
