Sure, I got the second best job as opposed to the "premium" quality paint job, but even I could have avoided 100% orange peel! Took them TWO WEEKS to fix a minor dent and paint a little Mitsubishi Lancer, and they still didnt reassemble my truck interior or put my emblems and letters back on. I also had to take it back to fix two scratches they left for me in the new paint, but they just gave me a little sample with a brush to do it myself. However, the crown jewel for me was that I called them on my way home from work saying that 2 minutes before their closing time was the earliest I could get there to pick my car up. Got caught in a little traffic and called them again asking them to stay till I got there. Closing time was at 6:00PM, and I arrived at 6:02 to find they had left. My car is my transportation. They should know its not as simple as picking up a broken computer or a stained shirt. I was willing to just leave all of this be until I discovered they had cut the wires to a brake light they were supposed to replace and just left them disconnected. Writing a review is about all Im willing to do, but I would more than simply spitefully advise you to go somewhere else to get your vehicle painted. From the customer service to the quality of the work, Maaco, Greenville deserves no more than 1 star. On the flip-side, if you really dont care how youre treated or how something looks when theyre done with it, Maaco is the place for you.

The repairs on the car itself seem fine. However, the communication and the professionalism was horrible. Specifically Chris, who should not be allowed to speak to customers at all. He failed to inform me that my car would not be available, on the day I was told. So I made arrangements to pick it up, to only find out they needed it three more days (which I dont mind, but explained to him the importance of communicating and considering peoples schedules). So I call Friday morning and they tell me the car wont be ready until the evening. I asked if there was anyway they could have the car ready (it needed to be detailed) earlier, as I had work at 1:00 p.m. I had told Maaco that I needed to know times because of my schedule and reinforced this first time they failed to communicate. Chris could not even let me finish a sentence. Rather than calmly talk about it, he raised his voice, cut me off, and took zero accountability for his teams lack of accountability, communication, and ultimately came across as a hot head with poor leadership. They were informed that I had a rental and had work at 1:00 p.m. A professional will either have it ready as planned, or pick up a phone and inform the customer, which they failed to do. Then Chris cant control his temper or listen. So I had actually planned to re-paint my Civic, which I will still do, but I will avoid Maaco.

The negative reviews are utter NONSENSE! Do not believe them! Their work is nothing but the best! I own an auto repair shop specializing in Mercedes, BMW and Lexus. I would not even consider sending my clients to anyone BUT Maaco. Their repairs and paintwork have ALWAYS been perfect; Any time there has been even the tiniest defect, Luke (the manager) would see to it that the defect was corrected. Any time I have ever had paint and/or repair work done, when Maaco was finished, you could not even tell that the damage had even occurred in the first place. My impression of the negative reviewers is that they dont have a clear understanding of how paint and body work is done; there are several ways to do paint; the two major ways are one step and base/clear. Single step paint is done all at once and with anything except solid (non metallic) colors you cannot buff out the orange peel texture. The ONLY way to get a decent metallic paint job is via base/clear which is, of course, more expensive as it is much more labor intensive. You get what you pay for; If you go for the "cheap" paint job, you will get a cheap looking end result. Pay a little more and get base/clear.

Worse quality Ive ever seen from a "professional" body shop. I had my Audi painted Burnt Orange at this shop in February of 2014. They just are not concerned with taping off what should not be painted. There is color all over my weatherstripping. And they used a marker to try to hide it. Theres orange paint on my steering wheel! YES, inside the car! The paint is barely covering the original black in several areas. Theres paint on emblems, glass, rocker panels, lower bumpers, in the grill. I tried to pay for it with my Visa over the phone because I would be working until after they closed. They dont take payments over the phone?! Its 2014! The whole experience was inconvenient from start to finish. Then they left my dome light on so my battery was dead when I came to pick it up after hours. I had to have a friend jump it. Truly horrendous workmanship and customer service.

They dont deserve one star. Worse Collision Repair shop in Greenville and the Upstate. Where do I start, one lie after another. They indicated one week for repairs, almost took a month. They lost my car keys. They agreed to pay the extra weeks at the rental, I ended up having to pay for it myself. After I pickup the vehicle it dies on the road, later to find out they did not properly reconnect my battery which died. Noticed my rear light not turning on, they forget to connect that as well. 2 months after repair, noticed the new paint peeling off. Very bad customer service. Corporate office was no help as well. Manager agreed to make things right but never called or returned calls. Please avoid this place, its worth waiting for a better place and avoid the headaches and waste of your money and time.

After arranging yesterday for my vehicle to be towed to Maaco today, I was told (once my vehicle was on its way via tow truck) that they werent accepting any vehicles today. Then I was spoken to very unprofessionally & rudely by one of the employees, saying "now just stop it & listen to me for a minute!" while I was trying to explain the conversation I had yesterday in arranging the appointment. The service on the phone yesterday was professional & the Google reviews were great, so I didnt even call another shop. But todays was very poor customer service; you dont leave a customer hanging once a vehicle is being towed there & you never raise your voice & get short-tempered with a customer who is being peaceful. Im gladly taking my business elsewhere.

Took my 95 pathfinder which was really rough to get it spruced up with a new paintjob. Was quoted $275 on the phone but of course once I got there they said it would be $400. Went ahead and did it anyway. Color was alot darker than the factory, looks like something i could have done myself. paint drips, places where it wasnt sanded right, looks like someone rolled an orange all over the tacky paint. Amatuer paint job. you get what you pay for. I still would think if they do this every day it would be decent. Looks ok from 5 feet away I guess. Check other options before you go here. Might be ok if you have a junker that just needs a cheap touch up, but it will look cheap.
